A Quick Update on Our Status (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

By now you've hopefully noticed that we are slowly returning to work after our nasty tangle with COVID this past month. Neither one of us is feeling 100% recovered yet, but we're both well enough now to start making progress on our various projects. The travel disruptions over the holidays and the bout of illness both put us way behind schedule, so we want to give you an update, and some idea of what to expect in the near term.

• Pins:

Thank you all for being so patient waiting for your pins. We had planned to mail out all the pins by the end of January, which clearly didn't happen, but they won't be too badly delayed. We're currently updating the mailing list provided to us by Patreon and filling in any gaps in those records - an email went out on January 30th to everyone who is eligible for a pin but for whom we don't have a mailing address. Please check your spam folder and filters for email from gundampodcast@gmail.com. We will post again when all of the pins have been mailed, so that you have a rough idea of when to expect them. Mailings for regular Patron rewards are also in progress and should be only slightly delayed.

• The 2022 contest:

Yesterday we posted the ten entries that attained the highest scores in preliminary voting along with a poll to determine which two will compete for ultimate glory and the Judge's Choice grand prize. Once that has been decided, we will each pick our favorite pitches, and select one random winner from the remaining entries. This should all be wrapped up by the end of February, with the prize bundles going into the mail then.

• The Witching Hour:

We're ready to start recording new episodes of The Witching Hour, and we expect to have at least one more (covering episode 4) out this month. We're very excited for more of what we assume will be an upbeat and cozy school romance story.

• Regular episodes:

Prep for season 8 is underway, but unfortunately we're only just now getting started on the translation of パパルの暁 第103話「スギナムの花嫁」. It will be at least a couple of weeks before we're ready to release episode 7.10.

Thank you again for your patience with us; we couldn't do this without you and we're both eager to get back to watching Gundam with you.
