I know I’m going to love this even before watching it!!!!

Jasmine

“The who’s who of who’s that, is poised for the attack, but my bare hands paved their paths” is, imo commenting on younger (usually female) artists who’ve tried to come after her, when if it wasn’t for her “paving their paths” they wouldn’t be doing what they’re able to do in the music industry. Two names in particular come to mind, however I’ll let ya’ll figure that one out!

Christie Sassenrath

You really need to see her stage performance of this song...you'll need a medic

TrishMarie🤟🏼

How do we get you to an Era’s concert??? I want to live stream your reactions because you are GOLD. TAYLOR?!?! How do we make this happen???

asley

please do the black dog!!!

JP

Ya’ll 100% have to watch this live. It’s unbelievable.

Kash Creations

This song was such a need for Taylor, it’s one of my favorite from TTPD for sure

Allie

Why you gotta be sooo rude??!! 😜

Dani Philpot

Y’all quick to learn the build and bridges of our lyrical architect. She slays it every single time. Watching yall enjoy something I enjoy with fresh enthusiasm is always a smile/laugh in my day. 🫶🏼

Kalene Zepeda

I’m so happy you guys are putting out uncut videos!! I’m always wishing for more on TikTok and these videos, both of you, give such joy 🫶🏻 you will definitely need to do reactions to the eras tour movie!!

💎✨Carly Overton✨💎

I am always curious of how much old Taylor you’ve heard because in your first video I think y’all said something like you haven’t heard her in a while or something? Maybe I’m making that up but I really enjoy knowing what older songs you know. I love the song Mean it’s a classic 🫶🏼 and I loved the comparison. Lyrical architect is the best description ever. Y’all’s musical knowledge makes me understand songs I love like 10x more, like things I don’t pick up on that you do, it’s kind of like rewatching for the first time I love it

Sam Christian

This song uses a bunch of Salem Witch Trials imagery because there’s a LOT of faith-based influencer internet talk that Taylor is a witch/satanic because of her success which she masterfully responds to by using literary and historic references in her songs. She’s talking to the press and general popculture that criticizes her every move but through all these years has “raised her and trained her” to be this spectacle. Similar to how she responded to the over the top criticism that SHE had to be the crazy unstable girlfriend if she dated more than 1-2 guys with “Blank Space.”

nina bean

That smile at the end tho! 😍

Dominique

These videos bring me so much joy!! Thank you for sharing the uncut versions!

Mary Jane Harper

Just a few notes on the lyrics: "The 'Who's Who' of 'Who's That?'" - you almost have to see it written out to understand what she's saying here. There's a room if socially relevant/important people (a real "who's who"), ready to "attack" her by asking her "who's that?" whenever her ex-partner walks into the room with someone new. "Leaps from the gallows and levitates down your street" - the gallows are the place you stand when they are preparing to hang you publicly. Like a previous poster stated - think Salem Witch Trials. She's standing there, about to be publicly executed...instead, she jumps from the platform and floats down the street...like a witch would. Personally, I see Taylor floating down the street in a costume she would have worn in her Willow era. "I was tame, I was gentle, till the circus life made me mean... Don't you worry, folks, we took out all her teeth..." - she's comparing herself to a circus bear from the olden days. They would remove all of the bears teeth and drug them so they could be exploited. They would actually allow people to get their photos taken with the bears, and one of the attractions was you couldn't get hurt because their teeth had already been removed. That said, she's saying she's been promoted in the exact same way as one of those sad, old bears. "So all you kids can sneak into my house with all the cobwebs" - she's referring to her old albums. When people go back and listen to her old music, it's like going back to places in her mind that she's long since forgotten. So, people think they are gleaning something new or different about her from an album she wrote 15 years ago...and she's pointing out the irony in that. "I'll sue you if you step on my lawn" - she's talking about sampling, and her journey to get her masters back. She's had to be ultra-protective of her digital assets, and a lot of people take issue with her being so vocal about it. That's all. I love your reaction videos so much...they make me really think about what she's trying to say in these songs.

Jessica Martin

Y’all are so cute. I need a shirt that says, “Tay-lor!” And “valedictorian” I love it.

Jennie 🐍🖤

You HAVE to watch the Eras your performance of this song.

Jessica Martin

Y’all!!!!!! terry and Kaniyia have a YT channel and they reacted to the ME! MV 5 years ago. It’s so sweet. It only has 66k views?!?!

Catherine

I’m so happy you’re sharing these uncut versions!!! Love watching you both. You definitely have the “IT Factor”! 😀😀😀

Meagan Mary

You guys MUST watch her live performance of this - the vocals are INSANE

Jessica Dodds

Yes!!!!!! Love y’all!!!!!! More! More! More!!!!

Amanda

Yes, Mean is definitely Taylor btw!!

Iris Garcia

She’s talking about the who’s who of whose that as in the Hollywood world and media who speak ill of her but she has made them money in writing and reporting things at her expense

Marianne

The end of this video had me smiling so big. You guys are so fun and cute.

Mariko Duffy

The first lines of this song, IMO, are about all the come ups who are complaining about Taylor’s success all the while knowing that she opened the door for things like fair pay for streaming and song ownership “my bare hands paved their path”….all the ridicule she took, hard work, and fight she put it in to get what is hers will always benefit the ones who come after her. And yet, she still always gets shitted on. So WAOLOM is a play on all that- how can people tease her but also be afraid of her success.

Jess Keen

I LOVE THAT YOU MADE THIS AVAILABLE FOR US TO WATCH. YES IM SCREAMING 😂. I love the unedited versions so much. You two are amazing 💜 I sent you a message on TikTok in the beginning of you two doing Tay but I’m sure you got flooded with them. So many people recommend their fav songs for you but I think you would absolutely love the song So It Goes. It’s got this dark mysterious opening and the lyrics are 🤌🏼 poetry then bam half time 808s. Did I give too much away lol. Just something different I haven’t seen suggested yet but one of her most underrated songs imo.

Jodi

Now react to the live version of this. Its insane!

jazlyn mcginnis

the beginning took me out!!! LMFAO “idk what that mean” honestly took me a FAT min to understand after 100x listening

Alvina Hurtado

Heather M

You were right about ‘Mean’! It is a Taylor song, and it sounded right to me! LOVE these songs extended/ unedited versions so much! Can’t wait to see what you do next!

Grace Baldridge

In the live performance she screams the “but what if it is!?!?” And goes up an octave at the first go around. And she does this two weeks after the release in Paris. The fans know every word!!

Lucy Hoggett

I can’t wait for your reactions to The Smallest Man who ever lived 🤯😳

Araceli Galaviz

The way I run to watch all your uncut versions! I love your reactions

Melanie

Love the uncut versions. I’m here for it all!!

Kailey's Corner

I love Mean (Kaniyia’s Version) 😂💖 if you haven’t actually listened to Enchanted, that’s one I think you’ll really appreciate. Her voice is so strong and the song is so masterfully composed. Baby Taylor wrote that herself!! And it’s the same album as Mean haha 💜

Katie

Look up the beef between Taylorrrr and Scooter Braun

Katie

I need to see The Smallest Man Whoever Lived pleasseeee

Makenzie Peter

The ending of this video had me dead 💀 I love you guys sm

Paige M.

It reminds of “their burning all the witches even if you aren’t one”

Dana

You have to watch this from the eras tour. She changes it and it’s insaneeee

Crystal

“You don’t get to tell me about sad” was a sentence someone once caught her ex saying to her on camera in a restaurant.

🏔️Kim Ramsey🏔️

@swifterastour Instagram has a full video of this from a livestream that has a front view that’s pretty good from one of the Madrid shows. The crowd is insanely loud though lolol

AnnMarie

I'd love to see a reaction to champagne problems and right where you left me!

tyler Palmer

Yea, this song doesn’t make as much sense until you read up on the story of Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun. Cliff notes from a (kind of) swiftie: Scott (head of record label) was like a father to TS. He sold her masters (along with Big Machine) to Scooter knowing TS did not like him and had been terrorized by him all throughout her career. she wanted to own her masters bc it’s her diary basically. it was a legal deal but it was a massive betrayal to TS by Scott. Then it all blew up when she decided to re-record her albums so she could own them. My tears richochet is about this and I think this is just a different perspective of the same situation but this encompasses all the big scandals where she was wronged but made out to be crazy. And of course just her reputation throughout her career. But she keeps coming out on top.

Danielle

I feel like this song and The Man are great female rage anthems

Stepfanie

This song live HITS! It was my favorite off the album before she started performing it, and now after 🤯

Nicole Bisco

Don’t get me wrong I love Taylor but you should also listen to Kelly Clarkson Chemistry album. Deluxe version.

Lisa S.

I love how you equated the second chorus section to her taking her power back. 🤌🏼

Natalie Higginbotham

Yes her song “mean” from the speak now album she did back when she sang country music. “Why you gotta be so mean” she re-released it and the new version is even better!

Ashley Schultz

Yesss watch the live version from the tour!!! You will die dead ☠️

Cass 🫶🏽

Ouokkk was my fav reaction video yet! Loved the way you broke things down

Samantha

So good! Can’t wait to see the live reaction. So happy to be here with y’all!

Jules

Yes!!!! You have got to get your hands on the Eras Tour version. It is a masterpiece!!

Sara

“The Who’s Who” used to be a popular publication listing successful people in various categories. The Who’s Who of Who’s That is saying “you’re the best at being not famous or well known” (at least that’s how I interpret it)

Emaleah

My favorite interaction in your videos..."Who says that?"...."Taylor". 🤣 I love watching you guys!

Stef from MI 🫶🐍

You gotta do the live version from the Eras tour .. it's literally 🤯🤯🤯

Nicki 🇮🇪

You need to watch this love at the Eras tour!!! What a performance!!!!

Ana Bee

This is such a power ballad against the music industry, I feel like it represents what A LOT of female artists go through when growing up in the spotlight. So great!!! The eras performance is perfect!

Kassandra

Pleaseeee react to the Eras Tour performance 🙏🏼

Gillian

Just love you both so much. Talk about killer voices!

Allie

She does this intentionally with her songs. Her songs are often connected. She might’ve made it sound similar to “old Taylor” on purpose, “who’s afraid of little old me?”

Amanda

I feel like y'all are becoming Swifties along with me (her new album just GOT ME), and I love it!

Amanda

I'd like to start an official campaign for Taylor to get y'all tickets to one of her remaining shows. 🙏🏻♥️

Nancy

I love this so much! You actually make me listen to it in a new way and I’m obsessed! I hope you’re able to see her before the tour ends!

Tara LaPorte

Y’all HAVE to watch her perform this song on stage right now!!!! My sister & I went unglued !!!

Kim L

The uncut versions are the best versions!

Jaimie C

Highly recommend watching her lyric videos when you react! They were done really well and match the vibe of the song perfectly

Annie Lapierre

You have to watch this live. You'll be on the floor!!!!

Brandi 🫶🐍

I think this song is talking about how the music industry has turned her into this “caged animal” and their reaction to her doing the things she’s been doing to get her music back.

Silisa Waldroop

The getting up and walking away lol I did that my first listen too 😭😭😭

Silisa Waldroop

Y'all already able to tie songs together!!! You should start at the beginning of her discography!!!

Molly

My interpretation of "the who's who of who's that?" is that it's about other artists. Who's that: Scooter Braun. The who's who: his famous (ex) clients. Specifically Justin Bieber, who she references with "you don't get to tell me about 'sad.'" the quotation around only the word 'sad,' is important - Bieber said that how the whole thing went down made him feel sad when he was defending Scooter. (And he posted very quickly after it went public, so he was 'poised for the attack')

Tortured poets

I genuinely need yalls reaction to the tour version of this song

Kathryn Gaska

Watch the live version of the bridge- she does a key change that will leave you on the floor

Kalynn

So like some ppl already said, this is about the music industry. I recently learned that lions in the circus used to het their teeth taken out and replaced with veneers to “render them harmless to their abusers”.

Jennifer Stratton

I can’t wait to see the All too well 10 min reaction

LeighAnn Cerra

Sing it! Definitely a female rage song!

Emma Nostrand

The “who’s who” is an expression meaning fancy people, like celebrities (like “the who’s who of New York society”) and “who’s that” means who tf even is that, so basically she’s calling all the people that are attacking her b-list celebrities

Heather Kim

I told you this song is 🔥🔥

Erica Whittaker

I truly believe this song goes all the way back to the Reputation album and ties into the whole Yeezy controversy in the respect that she was viewed as “americas sweetheart” at that time and sort of underestimated, so she showed everybody she had a gritty side that nobody expected, that should never be underestimated.

Trina

I've always loved Mean!! I felt like it was about Kanye and Kim. It fit anyway.

Tamara

This song is about the media and haters constantly attacking her and her receiving lots of backlash. "The Asylum" is a metaphor for growing up in the public eye.

Jenna Stiwald

You should check out the live Eras Tour version!

Vanessa

You need to see her Eras tour version. And it’s about the industry and all the crap she’s been through.

Erika Steindorf

I’m dying for yall to go to a concert. But I want eyes on you the whole time for the reaction 😂

Jennie 🐍🖤

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (Sabrina’s voice) watch the eras tour version

Amanda

I think when she says "you don't get to tell me about sad", she's talking about her entire life. Nothing is ever just hers. The sadness must be unbearable, at times. 💔

Kristy

I looove all of these sooo much!!! I have no one to talk to about this in my house so you’re my go to lol

Cerys Kirk

this is about the media and the view of her in the public eye! all the hate she has had over the years, no matter what she does, she always gets backlash. even if she is doing what the public wants

Steph Glecoff

Catching up on this one right now!! MMMF

Ashley Z

“You’re a swiftie. You made it.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Jordan Bauman

You should react to her live performance of this from The eras tour!! Pure female rage. lol 💜🫶🏻

Anna

MMMF!! Obsessively checking for new drops while catching up on older stuff and love you guys

Deborah Cardwell

He didn’t get to tell her about being sad coz he made her sad

Camille

Its about all the drama the “fans” (not really fans but anyways) made when she started dating matty. They called her crazy, spineless etc cuz she started dating him and this song is basically towards those people who tell themselves they’re fans but not really cuz they try to control her life and have a say in it. And when she doesn’t do what they want, they start attacking her. When they started dating, some “fans” were saying that it was only cuz she was “sad” about the breakup with joe and that she was having a mental breakdown to go so low as to date matty. And they made a “signed letter”🙄 basically telling her how what she was doing was wrong and that they were “sad” and felt “bad” for her and blah blah blah. That ‘s why she says “you don’t get to tell me you fell bad” and “you don’t get to tell me you feel sad”. Honestly I tried to ignore those comments during that time cuz it was giving parasocial weirdos. The letter also mentions how “it was not about her, they loved her and weren’t doing it to hurt her” which is why she says in the song “So tell me everything is not about me But what if it is? Then say they didn't do it to hurt me But what if they did?” it was brutal honestly. She was really mad at them here that’s why she’s like “I wanna snarl and show you just how disturbed this has made me You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me” asylum meaning the public eye/music industry. And she also says “Is it a wonder I broke? Let's hear one more joke Then we could all just laugh until I cry” because of all the jokes they made online about her being crazy, spineless, that she needed to be committed and needed to think etc etc. they were more graphic things but im not sure I can say it here. And the part were she says “You caged me and then you called me crazy I am what I am 'cause you trained me So who's afraid of me?” Yea, again she just basically calling out the “fans” or as she refers to them in but daddy i love him, “vipers in empaths clothing” she was calling them out for caging her and then calling her crazy, how every little thing they’ve said over the years trained her and made her what she is, so why would they be afraid of her now. That’s why she keeps repeating who’s afraid of little old me? Why would you be afraid, You made this? But yea, if I can find a pic of the signed letter i’ll send it to you guys in the chat but I doubt it cuz I tried to ignore all that stuff during that time. It was brutal if you tried telling them that it didn’t matter if they didn’t like matty, they had no right to choose who she dates they would just go feral so I kinda just disconnected for a bit. if that was me, imagine all that they said to her. That also ties to when in but daddy i love him she says “God save the most judgmental creeps Who say they want what's best for me Sanctimoniously performing soliloquies I'll never see Thinking it can change the beat Of my heart when he touches me And counteract the chemistry And undo the destiny You ain't gotta pray for me” And also “If all you want is gray for me, Then it's just white noise, And it's just my choice” grey being sadness etc suggesting how miserable she was in the relationship with joes she says so in you’re losing me. White noise meaning she can’t hear it. But yea, hope this helped.

Katie Smith

You guys have to watch this on the Eras Tour

Katie Smith

Guys she goes female rage on this song in the Eras tour and she changes up the vocals!

MaineGal

Look up clips I kid r from her performing this at her concerts!!! It’s BATSHIT CRAZY!🔥🔥🔥

Emily

You HAVE to watch it from the eras tour ! She changes the vocals and it’s insane !

I’m not dramatic

I don’t mean to be a snob but I love your reviews because not only are they joyful but it’s nice to hear from musically literate people. (I’m not any sort of music expert but it’s clear to me you guys know things).

Lua

It's more about the media, fans and etc. A masterpiece.

SMarie

I like going back and watching these videos just to giggle at Terry pausing so much 🤣🤣
