She basically disappeared there for a year, then she surprised us with reputation. So long London, is about the ending of that 6+ year relationship with him. She’s basically telling us her side of the story. Pay attention to a lyric about her face and see if you can link it to You're Losing Me.😉

Everyone who told you this song is about Joe and connecting it with the other three songs that you are listening to that are about Joe did you a great disservice. This song has nothing to do with her secure relationship with the Joe. This song is about Matty Healy and the 10 year Situationship that she has had with him. If you don’t learn about that, Situationship, her last 4 albums are not going to make much sense. Six weeks of breathing clean air Matty smoked Joe did not. Also, her body was shaking in the rain because Matty attended and show that was pouring rain and she was shaking cold. Joe was very basic plans and probably a bit boring. He wouldn’t even know how to make an esoteric joke. Her and Maddie shared her love with the band the starting line Matty tends to date, younger women Joe does not. I could go on and on with the song some people who love Taylor hated her relationship with Maddie understandably, but they let that blind them to think she couldn’t of wrote this many songs about a situation ship, even though it was a 10 year long one. If you ever do cardigan and Peter together to compare them, you need to know about the Taylor and Matty lore or it’s not gonna make any sense. At the time she told us a folklore (cardigan) was fiction. it wasn’t Peter and Wendy to those is Matty Healy. He needs to learn about the relationship for a lot of the last four album songs to make sense.

Personally, I think TTPD is an accumulation of TS past loves. There are ones that are "obviously" pointing to one certain person, but I think it's more than one. I think she put easter eggs in for the people who know who they are, but will always wonder if it was actually all about them. It's reminiscent of Carly Simon's "You're so Vain". Everyone wants to know who it is about, narrowed it down to one but it is actually about 3 people. To this day, no one knows all of them but Carly. The TTPD album is all about leaving it on the floor, and walking away without looking back. It makes sense that she has incorporated all the ones who made her feel a certain way, exorcised those demons and plans to never revisit them. This is a purge era. The tie backs to earlier songs covers a multitude of past relationships that have been in her catalog for years. Lolz, I think she is just done thinking about it or caring anymore. Purge them all ;)
