Gillian Balaka

Omg so glad you chose this… so good

EmilyZ

OMG I AM SO EXCITED

Ashley S

An ABSOLUTE classic! Grew up listening to this with my Dad. Stevie and Taylor are great friends too ❤️

Natalie Washabaugh

I grew up listening to their music as a kid. You should also check out Stevie Nick’s solo stuff. And Lindsay Buckingham’s solo stuff. They are both musical geniuses in their own right.

Mandy 🩶

SO EXCITED!! This album is a core memory of my childhood because my dad (like most dudes born in the 60s) was in love with Stevie Knicks lol

Meegan

WOOHOO!

Brieanne

I’m sooooo excited!!

EmilyZ

So Stevie sang the backup in the first song secondhand news which was a LINDSAY side of the breakup, next song Lindsay (guy guitar player/singer) had to play the guitar in HER song dreams next song! Absolute cinema

EmilyZ

Read the letter at the beginning of TTPD - by STEVIE!!! Now you’re starting to know!

EmilyZ

This made me so happy, thank you!! They have/she has AMAZING work!

EmilyZ

Could you imagine beefing with your friends/coworkers/ex and still having to work with them!? They are legendary for this

Meegan

Lindsey is a dude and Stevie is a lady, it's tricky

Meegan

Dreams was viral on TikTok during the pandemic with a guy blissfully skateboarding when we all needed it

Bailee Barnard

So excited! Make sure you listen to the deluxe version that includes silver springs!

CarlyHarley

Been listening to Dreams on repeat lately and then you post this ❤️

Katie🫶🩷

So good! I know all these songs from my parents playing them while I was growing up but I’ve never read the lyrics and damn🤯 “But listen carefully To the sound of your loneliness Like a heartbeat drives you mad In the stillness of remembering what you had” My eight year old self did not hear that😭 Did not feel that🥺

Hridayinee

Loving watching this with you! I really only remember this from being a kid hearing Dad listen to FMac. Also covers by others more recently. Glad you realized who Stevie was... and Taylor Swifts friends

EmilyZ

This is the best thing ever please do all of the Fleetwood Mac!

Natalie Washabaugh

Laughing so hard as you both figure out who is who! 😂

Hridayinee

Yes dress up Hippy ish for part 2... and flowers in your hair K!

EmilyZ

Now I need to see you react to all of the touchy feely clips of them ‘recently’ (last few years) and the other bandmates rolling their eyes like “oh no not again!” Lol

Hridayinee

Alot of these songs were on Glee as well. The 3rd song had them all finger picking on their guitars... so many at once in the Glee cover. Such a vibe

lauren ☆

omg no WAYYYYYYYY I'M SO EXCITED my second favorite artist(s) nex to taylor, harry, and the national <3 <3

EmilyZ
>>172940968

Other voice in last song on this part one: Christine mcvie!! She has a few solid songs/verses. She passed away semi-recently, and was also the bandmate I mentioned who rolled her eyes/made a face at Lindsay and Stevie being touchy feely AGAIN lol! May she RIP ♥️

Natalie Washabaugh

When you asked, Is that Stevie? It’s Christine in Don’t Stop.

Rhonda Bray

As a child of the 70s I am so so glad you are listening to this amazing band!!! You need to listen to Stevie Nicks next as she broke away from the band and is still touring !

Rhonda Bray

You should watch Stevie’s live performance honoring Christine , her best friend and also a member of the band who passed away

Amanda Born

You have to look up the videos of them performing live with the USC marching band!!! My dad was a huge Fleetwood Mac fan and that concert on vhs is a core childhood memory! We saw Stevie Nicks in concert last summer and she is still amazing!!

TopTierTaylor

Did you guys connect some of the lyrical inspiration Taylor has taken from them? Rain washing away to make you Clean again etc

Linds 💙

Christine McVie and John McVie (bassist) were married - they ended up divorcing. Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks started dating shortly after she graduated high school (I think) and then when he was offered the job as guitarist in Fleetwood Mac he said he wouldn’t accept unless they hired Stevie too - they were a packaged deal. Nicks and Buckingham were on/off again for several years and the relationship was tumultuous at times - (watch the official Silver Springs live version video on YouTube - top tier and packed with emotion). Also - I requested Fleetwood so I’m super excited that you all are finally covering! 🎉 Make sure to give a listen to Stevie’s solo albums too 🖤

Emily 1989 🩵

gotta watch daisy jones and the six when you’re done with this album!

Martina

This makes me so happy. Yes, agreed, to not know Fleetwood Mac is a punishable offense!!!

Erika Scott

This brings me so much joy!

Shana Connell

When you made the connection of Stevie Nicks and Taylor Swift, it made me so happy lol

Amber

Looooove them! Saw them live in '96. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. The main female voice you hear in Don't Stop, is Christine McVie. 😊

Lauryn ❤️‍🔥

Kaniyia I guarantee you know Dreams from TikTok during covid the dude on his skateboard playing it 🤣🤣🤣

Melissa Roach

Stevie went to the eras tour in Dublin and I always thought (as an old swiftie) what an amazing complement that must have been to Taylor! Icons👸

Kristina

Stevie Nicks is an icon and a hero of Taylor’s with good reason. She is massively talented, exceedingly honest, kind and generous, and can absolutely mesmerize listeners with her vocals and lyrics. I’m much, much older than y’all and it’s really lovely to see how music pulls people together regardless of age. I’ll second the opinion that you should watch the live performance of Silver Springs from The Dance. You’ll never forget it. And you’ll think about it all. the. time. It’ll be some random Tuesday and it’ll pop in your head and you’ll say, “Damn. That was somethin’ to see.” 😂

Brieanne

I cannot wait for The Chain… I know they’ll love that one!!

Lauryn ❤️‍🔥

Wait why can’t I remember now did they do Clean yet?? Cause Dreams always makes me think of it

Rhonda Bray

Do you all see the resemblance between Stevie and Taylor? “You look like, Stevie Nicks, in ‘75” , the hair and lips” (Clara Bow)

Holly T.
>>172942549

Came here to say this!! It’s an absolute must. It’s practically life changing

connie paige

Stevie Nicks is 'AMAZING" A true musical ICON and one of TayTay favorites.

Shannon

A classic!!!! Ahhhh I’m so exited

Isabela Krall

I KNEW you’d love them! Wait til you here Go Your Own Way. Ugh this is amazing I’m so excited for y’all.

Abs

This made me so happy. Watching you discover this classic, monumental band was a joy!

Sara

This was so fun!!

Meegan

Also for real what does Lindsey mean by lay me down in the tall grass and let me do my stuff?

Dustin

Okay... Gypsy is not on this album but I AM BEGGING you all to react to it. You will NOT be disappointed

Lindsay B

Watching this video was pure joy! Thank you! So glad you’re discovering their music. I think they’re one of the few 70s bands that have a timeless sound. And those harmonies—chills every time. Can’t wait for part 2!

Courtney Medlin

LOVE your reaction. You said ‘legendary’, and Fleetwood Mac are a legendary band. They are more my parents generation, but I was really into them. I even saw them in concert! Definitely worth reading some stuff about them. They were super cool and SO talented. Just wait until you get to Landslide and Rhiannon! 😍😍😍🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 Also Lindsey Buckingham is considered a really great guitar player. They have some good videos on YouTube of live performances. As always MMMF!!!

connie paige
>>172942990

They have an amazing friendship, admiration and respect for each other. TayTay adores Stevie and trust her. She was so grateful and humbled to know that Stevie attended her concert. However, if your watch the 1989 Tour TayTay invited a fleet of artist to join her on stage and let them make it their own and the number of celebrities that attended The Eras Tour is insane and a testament to our beloved "Queen" Taylor Alison, Swift:)

Emily M
>>172942044

But react to it for us, please! And read the lore first. It’s wild.

Kate

You have to watch the Landslide official music video

Kelly

Stevie Nicks was at Taylor's Dublin N3 concert. That night Taylor sang Clara Bow. (Also the night Travis showed up mid concert to surprise her) I was so lucky to be there.

Kate F.

Yesssss this album is perfect. And we NEED part 2. Go Your Own Way, Songbird, AND The Chain?!? Y'all are not ready for what you're about to experience 💜💜💜

Ash 💗

Soooo good! Part two please 🩷

Courtney Medlin
>>172941944

Yep! Chiming in to say Stevie also had a fling? Relationship? With the drummer, Mick Fleetwood.

KO

Dreams brought them to CHURCH! 😂

Rachel Griffin

It doesn’t come across on the recording of a recording, but the bass line under ‘wrap around your dreams’ in Dreams is one of my favorite moments in musical history. Period. It’s so potent. 👌

Aly

It kills me that you have so many shirts with bands you’re unfamiliar with because I know you’d love them 😂💔

Emily B

I am so fucking excited that you’re listening to Fleetwood Mac. I mean, they’re music legends.

Sav

Stevie is everything!! Always has been!!! Post Malone did a mashup of this song “Dreams”— YouTube Hollywood dreams Fleetwood Mac and post Malone!

Emily B

The video of Stevie videotaping Taylor when she sang Clara Bow as a surprise song (obviously knowing Stevie was in the audience) is my favorite. So beautiful. The mutual respect and admiration.

Erica Van Pelt

The Chain is one of my favorite songs of all time. You guys are going to love it and I can’t wait!!!

Shannon Leigh Dixon

Please please please watch the live performance of Silver Springs. Stevie Nicks is an absolute, savage diva. You will LOVE it!

Brittany

Ngl I’ve never listened to a full album of theirs! I know a few but cannot WAIT for y’all to hear the chain…greatest song of all time. Although yall have probably heard some of it from Guardians of the Galaxy 🫶🏻🖤 MMMF

Abby (Eliot’s version)

My favorite thing is them initially assuming Stevie is a man and Lindsey is a woman 😂 I can’t imagine hearing this for the first time 😭 I grew up listening to them cause of my mom so I don’t remember a time when I didn’t know the genius of Stevie and Fleetwood… you’re right - it is legendary and is the definition of “classic rock”

Abby (Eliot’s version)

All I think about when I hear them is my aunt and mom telling me about seeing them in concert when they were both high af and so was Stevie who still sounded amazing… the 70s man lol

Chandra

One of the greatest albums of all time. I’m so happy and surprised you’re doing this ❤️

Chandra

When Christine McVie passed away, they did a reunion tribute show for her. During that show Stevie thank Taylor Swift for writing You’re on Your Own Kid for helping her get through. Taylor then played it for a surprise song when Stevie was at the Eras Tour and she cried. She also played Clara Bow for her, of course ❤️

Aly

I am going to leave this here because it fits genre-wise (and before I forget). I would also love for you two to hear/react to: Tangerine - Led Zeppelin If You Could Read My Mind - Gordon Lightfoot

Brooke Llewellyn

Stevie’s real name is Stefanie. Stevie is a nickname

bits

Stevie. Female vocalist Lead on: #2 Dreams (written by/sung), #9 I Don't Want to Know (written, sung as duet with Lindsay), #11 Gold Dust Woman (w/s) Lindsay. male vocalist and guitar Lead on: #1 Second Hand News (w/s), #3 Never Going Back and #4 Dont Stop (sung and written w Christine), #5 Go Your Own Way (w/s) Christine. Vocalist and keyboards/piano Lead on: #4 Don't stop (w/s with Lindsay), #6 Songbird (w/s), #8 You Make Loving Fun (w/s), #10 Oh Daddy (w,s) Whole band wrote & sings on 'The Chain', song about the strength of the band amidst the drama. Ok here's the tea: Previous album, self titled, was VERY successful and the debut of both Stevie and Lindsay as leads. (Stevie has ICONIC songs on that album, a must listen.) However, after extensive touring, tensions rose between each and every member of the band. Bassist John McVie and keyboardist/ vocalist Christine McVie, who had been married six years, divorced due to tensions directly from touring and Christine's affair with the band's sound engineer. Christine was coldly distant and refused to communicate other than when necessary in the recording studio. Christine then started seeing the band's lighting director, and John responded with drugs and groupies. John had to play bass on songs written and sung by Christine. Mick Fleetwood, the band's drummer and (along with John McVie) one of the two founding members left in the band, found out his wife had an affair with the band's guitarist Bob Weston. Weston was fired shortly afterward. Fleetwood acted as mediator and therapist and tried to hold the band together. Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks had the most volatile situation of them all; their on/ off relationship was messy & resulted in frequent shouting matches in the studio, involved cheating on both sides and drugs. Hope this helps!! 🥰

Stephka

I am so happy yall did this. Rumors is one of the greatest albums of all time. Fleetwood Mac started in England. Short story Mick Fleetwood and John and Christine McVie started the band. They happened upon Americans indie folk artists Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. They came together to form one of the greatest bands of all time. Nicks and Buckingham were together. John and Christine were married. Nicks and Buckingham break up. She has an affair with Mick Fleetwood (the drummer). At some point John and Christine divorce. They are all a mess. However, their personal mess made some of the best music ever. In rumors you are listening to mostly Stevie and Lindsay. Christine is in there with vocals too. After Rumors yall should watch (not just listen to) The Dance. I have seen Fleetwood Mac 4 times. Christine McVie has already passed. When I got married we played Tusk for our bridal party entrance, and my husband and my first dance was Songbird (piano and vocals by the amazing Christine McVie). You have listened to only 4 songs. They only get better. ❤️

Tovs

MMMF! I love Fleetwood Mac also Stevie Nicks as a solo artist.

bits
>>172945204

They won't this time 😭😭 Landslide and Rhiannon are on the previous album

bits
>>172951506

PS please do the self titled album (the one before this album) and if not the whole album, just Rhiannon and Landslide. Landslide is one of the saddest f'ing songs on planet earth imho, pure Taylor-esque writing.

Chip Tovey

Buckingham is a criminally underrated guitarist and vocalist. When he left the band in the late 80’s, they literally had to hire two guitarists to replace him. Another interesting factoid for non-musicians that don’t know, he fingerpicks all his parts, including the solos. He doesn’t use a pick. As a guitarist myself, I’m fascinated by his technique, and his ability to get such clean pinch harmonics using only his fingers. I’ve played 30 years and haven’t managed to cleanly do it at will like he does. Check out “Big Love” live to witness his prowess on an acoustic version of the song. This is one of the best bands of all time, and Rumours is one of the best selling albums of all time, selling more copies than most artists sell over their entire career. 30+ million certified units is incredible. The songwriting is a masterclass, the vocals and harmonies are perfect, and the general musicianship of all the members is unmatched.

Cory Harbour

WHAT!!!! I’m fucking HYPE FOR THIS!!!!!

TrishMarie🤟🏼

Love watching you fall down this rabbit hole!!! 🕳️ 🐇 1. Can’t wait for Part II (and the possibility of a wardrobe vibe) 2. I fell in love with Stevie when I saw her cameo on American Horror Story: Coven (which was brilliant, as she was often called a witch in her early days.) She sang a lesser known solo-song called: Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You. If you love Stevie and don’t know this one, take a look!

Chip Tovey

Your three principal vocalists are Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie (she passed away a couple of years ago). All three of them are fantastic writers. “Don’t Stop” is a Christine McVie song, and while the principal songwriter usually sung the lead vocal for the track, she liked Lindsey singing a good portion of it. That was Christine coming in on the 2nd verse. Her voice is wildly different from Stevie Nicks. Stevie has a good 2 pack a day growl, and Christine has more of a smooth, smokiness to her voice. Each of the 3 contributed powerhouse songs for this album, which spawned several hits and led to it being one of the best selling albums of all time. The tall guy on the cover with Stevie, and the namesake of the band, is actually an incredible drummer. John McVie is an outstanding bass player with several memorable bass lines on the album. The dissolution of the relationships of Lindsey and Stevie, as well as John and Christine McVie serves as the back drop for this body of work. As we all know, sadness, trauma, and tragedy fuels some of the best music, and they all poured their heart and soul into Rumours. The album’s title has the British spelling of Rumours, and not the Americanized spelling of Rumors. You’ll find the English love to add the “u” into words, like Saviour for instance. Fleetwood Mac was a British band, and when some original members left, they hired Buckingham to replace them, who in turn insisted that he and Stevie came as a package or he wouldn’t join.

Amber Minton

Im so excited you guys are doing Fleetwood mac! Have to throw my hat in for the live performance of silver springs too! Stevie singing to her ex with HEAVY eye contact is so iconic. PLEASE DO THE SECOND HALF OF THE ALBUM SOON there's so many bangers coming up I cannot wait for your reaction to Gold Dust Woman

Andree

React to Landslide please! Fleetwpod Mac, different album

Lindsey

Watch Silver Springs live when you're done with this album!

Tamela

Stevie's solo stuff is just as amazing! Check out "Stand Back". One of my favorites by her!

Kailey's Corner

Ain’t nothing like a Stevie Nicks harmony, her placement is crazy 😭🫶

nikki

This was more than I ever could have hoped for. Watching you discover the greatness of FM is a true delight so thank you for sharing it with us. We want parts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and to infinity! I agree with everyone asking you to go listen to Landslide and Rhiannon. And Gypsy is my all time favorite song. The Silver Springs live performance from The Dance went viral last year because of the way Stevie and Lindsay stared each other down during the performance. There is so much FM ahead of you beyond this album so I hope you will keep exploring! Fun fact: Stevie wears a crescent moon necklace, and for decades she has given similar ones out to people she loves. Taylor has one. :)

Meg

Omg you definitely need to read up on their band lore and then watch their silver springs performance!!!

Sara Cunnington

Fleetwood Mac is one of my most faves of all time!🤍🔥

elaina fitzsimmons

I’m loving that you guys are reacting to different music!!! you guys should check out billy joel, I’m sure you know a few of his songs anyway but his albums Turnstiles and The Stranger are my favs from him :)

Christina

I love Fleetwood Mac!

Serenity Wellness Arts ☆ Serena M. Garretts

YOU GUYS!!!! LISTEN!!!! YOU HAVE TO DO STEVIE'S SOLO WORK!!! When I was 9 years old I bought my first 45 record and it was the song Dreams. I once saw Stevie Nicks perform Rhiannon live under a full moon, and touched her hand. I live on Maui where, before the Lahaina fire, the drummer, Mick Fleetwood had his restaurant on historic Front street. I spent a lot of time there doing face and body art on adults for very special parties. These people are legendary. You're going to have to see some of their live videos too man the crazy chemistry and Stevie live is a whole other thing

Lacey Chesser

Christine McVie is the other female vocalist. She is the second singer on Don’t Stop. She also plays the keys, she was married to and divorcing during this album the basis, John McVie. The song “You Make Loving Fun” was about another dude she was seeing during this time. She died within the last few years I’m my opinion, a very unappreciated member of the band.

Jennifer Hart

Are they gonna die when they hear The Chain? 🤔

SarahD

Yes - part 2 is needed! It was Christine McVie on Don’t Stop!

Robyn

Taylor has a special relationship with Stevie and so does Harry Styles! He has a few amazing duets with her! One he adorably bursts into tears because he’s so happy. He also inducted her into the rock and roll hall of fame!

Emily Atwell

Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks - you have to research their relationship. And then watch Silver Springs live!

Vanessa

I don’t know how far you got yet but the chain. Just yeah. Welcome to music at its finest.

Sasha B

NEED PART 2. They’re so incredible - one of the best bands of all time. I was shocked when I saw you guys covering them - I’m so happy!!!!!

Kenz
>>172955942

I love this recommendation—Billy Joel is one of my favorites!! The Stranger is also one of my favorite albums of his. Vienna and She’s Always a Woman are two of my favorite songs of all time!

gigi

stevie nicks wrote a poem for the tortured poets department 🤍 in the album booklet

Heidi

Please tell me y'all know the lore behind this album!?!?!? (Sparknotes version: everyone was breaking up)

Alexis J.

FLEETWOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED PART INFINITY!!!! MMMF!

Heidi
>>172993570

Here's the longer version: Stevie and Lindsey were dating when they joined the band and broke up while recording this album. Dreams is Stevie's account of the breakup while Go Your Own Way is Lindsey's. Christine and John McVie were married but Christine had an affair the band's lightning director while recording this album and wrote You Make Loving Fun about the affair. (Rumor is that she told John she wrote it about the family dog). While all of this was going on Muck Fleetwood (Founding member and drummer) also learned that his wife was cheating on him and they started divorce proceedings. Lindsey sings on almost every song, so does Stevie. Christine is lead vocals on at least three tracks. All band members except Christine are still alive.

Alison

MMMF

Ashley

Dreams is always in my top 10 played songs every year.

13 Journals

I need ya'll to start reacting to a classic artist/group at least once a month!

Laura J✨

This was my favorite at 8!! I was lucky enough to grow up with Fleetwood Mac!! And it is the perfect top down car riding song 💖

Laura J✨

Never Going Back gives a bit of The Civil Wars vibes….you’ve got to them at some point - Barton’s Hollow is the album.

👻Shelbie F👻

I started cackling when you got to Stevie Nicks and put it all together with Clara Bow🤣

Laura J✨

I can’t wait until you listen to Silver Springs and react to the live performance!!!! Chills!!! It’s one of Stevie’s songs she wrote about Lindsay B that they had to perform a lot together. It was supposed to be on Rumors

V

Someone has probably said this, but yall need to watch the videos when she’s angry singing staring at her ex in the band the whole time. Talk about legendary

👻Shelbie F👻

I’m seeing Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel in October and this just made me so happy

Rachel Shields

I’m dying over the confusion on who is who. In your defense they have gender neutral names

Rachel Shields

Terry: Are y’all hearing her? I’m 38 and I’ve been hearing her, but so glad you two are

Lynelle Chaba

I’m an older Swiftie and music lover and seeing this made me so delighted that you are journeying all over on this music path you’re exploring! There are so many delightful discoveries in your future!! Stay curious :)

Jessibubbbly

Love this so much!!! MMMF!!!

Mikaila Roberts

You guys I can’t even explain how watching this made me feel. It’s so life affirming and beautiful to get to see people hearing Stevie sing for the first time. And so cool to see how you totally get the brilliance right away ♾️

Amy Eales

Idk how this happened but this is my favorite album and I’ve been listening to it on adhd obsessive repeat for weeks now and then you guys cover it 😅 my fiance is 47 and he actually got to see this performed live. He was telling me so much of the background of Never Going Back Again (he’s a huge music nerd, immensely talented). That guitar part is damn near impossible to play. And when Terry mentioned “oh that sounds like two guitars,” I HAD to tell you. It is two guitars, but it’s him playing both. He had to play it twice. EXACTLY. The. Same. But one time on each part and overlay them. The tempo, flow, beat, nothing could be off or they wouldn’t overlay. The skill is insane. Just felt important to let people know 😁

Jenni Lynn

Florence + the machine cover of Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kate

You guys have to watch Harry and Stevie singing together

Ryan

Omg this is my favorite album ever made I am so excited!!

Jo

If you guys ever decide to do movie reactions, I am begging y'all to react to Almost Famous.

Ryan

Y'all should look into Daisy Jones and the Six because that book/tvshow/album were inspired by fleetwood mac!

Ryan
>>173018447

I feel like a good thing for them to look at is who wrote it to at least see if it’s Stevie or Lindsey !!!

Andrea Parks

Listen to Beautiful Child by Fleetwood Mac…. The harmonies are UNBELIEVABLE

Alexis Luna

This was so fun! MMMF 🫶🏼

Jen ✨

I am here for this journey.. Now yall know why Taylor references her.. Look at young pics of Stevie.. And she’s an icon.. like Taylor..

Nikki

Yes Part 2!

Lendy Mason

Y'all need to listen to the added song 'Silver Springs' from the Rumours Deluxe edition and watch the live video of Stevie Nicks singing it AT Lindsey Buckingham! You'll have chills!

Laura J✨

I think you’d love Crazy Love by Poco, please put it in the wheel. The harmonies and guitar from 70”s soft rock is where it’s at!!

Jessica

I’m so excited you guys are reacting to Fleetwood Mac! As an elder millennial, they were before my time too but I got into them in the 90s when their live special The Dance aired on VH1 (which had the Silver Springs performance everyone is saying to react to). One of the best things I’ve done is see them live before Lindsey was no longer in the band and Christine passed away. The five main members you’ll need to know are Mick Fleetwood (drums), John McVie (bass), Lindsey Buckingham (vocals and guitar — and a PHENOMENAL guitarist at that), Stevie Nicks (iconic vocals), and Christine McVie (keys and vocals - and as others have said so underrated!) Christine’s voice was softer while Stevie’s has a rockier grit to it, IMO. Christine’s the lead female voice on Don’t Stop and sings lead on Songbird, You Make Loving Fun, and Oh Daddy when you get to those. You’ll be able tell the difference between her and Stevie soon. There’s a LOT of drama and lore with this band but John and Christine being married and divorced and the tumultuous relationship between Stevie and Lindsey (to this day 😬) is mainly the root of it. Dreams went viral on TikTok with the guy drinking cranberry juice while skateboarding. And I know you guys are young but Don’t Stop was Bill Clinton’s campaign song so maybe you’ve heard of it because of that. My guess is you’ve heard Go Your Own Way before in some way and MAYBE Gold Dust Woman. Have fun with it! There’s so much more good stuff to uncover!

Shellbee

So great! What a band. Definitely do Silver Springs and then the live performance. Oooooooooof!

Emily

Wow I can’t believe you hadn’t heard this before! This is one of the best albums of all time 🖤 glad you’ve gotten the chance to listen

Meredith V.P.

Christine and Lindsey sing on Don’t Stop. You’re about to have your mind blown in Part 2.

Meredith V.P.

Silver Springs video must happen

avenraine

I’m so glad y’all are listening to Fleetwood Mac, they’re a staple of my childhood and when Rumours came out, my grandparents had just gone through some traumatic sh!t so they bought a cassette of this album (my grandpa LOVED Stevie Nicks) and listened to it on repeat while they drove cross-country to San Francisco and ended up staying there for three years. I love this album for all of the memories attached to it, and seeing y’all listen for the first time makes me appreciate it all over again 🥰

Tesla

Oh my gosh so excited yall are doing classic rock! Maybe someday some more bands! Tom petty, Led Zeppelin, guns and roses, the eagles..so many others! I think yall will love this genre 🥹

Emily Beth

I’m so excited! Top 10 album all time. But you really have to do a one off for Landslide. I would love you to do that studio version, live, and a cover or two. Smashing Pumpkins had a huge hit covering Landslide in the 90s. One of my favorite FM songs of all time.

Emily Beth

That finger plucking guitar is so good. I just can’t. All the smiles. MMMF!

Isabel Victoria

I’m dying at yall not knowing who is singing 😂🖤

Trishgal

I am so effing excited for this journey!! Fleetwood Mac is one of my all time favorites and now I need you to listen to the whole discography!!! But also.. have you heard of Marianas Trench?? Please please listen to their album Ever After (2011) it will absolutely blow your mind!!! MMMF!

Trishgal

Also, this is 70s stoner rock lol 💜

Erinek14

I call this California 70s rock. The Eagles also fall into this category.

Erinek14

Also, do you know who is heavily inspired by Fleetwood Mac? The 1975! Do you know who TTPD (and plenty more songs from other previous albums) inspired by? Matty Healy from The 1975! You gotta listen to them! Start with I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It 🩷

Bredivizio

We need landslide!!!!

Nikki

PLEASE do the 1997 Silver Springs live performance, please please please

Benjamin Phillips

Fleetwood Mac is unique. 3 great songwriters and singers. Christine McVie passed a few years ago. Fortunate enough to see them live back in 2015.

lochnessVHS

Trying to figure out the “lead singer “ of Fleetwood Mac has me dyin

Jen Frick

T&K if no one has brought this up yet you absolutely need to check out HAIM by themselves not just in the no body no crime Evermore Track. They are besties with Taylor and you will loooove their harmonies. Taylor is featured on one of their tracks “Gasoline” and it gives naughty Taylor

T

This album & the band are ICONIC & legendary AF. I’m an older millennial & my dad had a huge vinyl collection from the 70s & 80s. I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac. But this album has always held a special place in my heart. Every song is just 😙👌. I only truly listened & understood the lyrics when I was around 18. You know when you’re younger, sometimes you just vibe to the music & sing along without thinking what the words mean. & the lore behind this particular album is just wild. I don’t think I could sing along to a song my ex wrote about me 😂 Like everyone has said, check out Silver Springs on the deluxe & DEFINITELY watch the live performance. Stevie was shooting daggers at Lindsey with her eyes lol. Stevie has performed one of her songs with a very young Taylor but it was the wrong song for Taylor’s vocal range & abilities at the time. As a Swiftie, I have to admit it wasn’t great but she was young & hadn’t fully developed her vocal skills as much. Taylor absolutely got dragged in the media for that. But they’ve stayed friends & in addition to Taylor name dropping Stevie in Clara Bow, Stevie also wrote a poem which is one of the prologues on TTPD (Have you read Taylor’s own prologue for TTPD? You should!). Stevie has claimed You’re On Your Own Kid as the song she thinks of when reminiscing about her recently deceased band mate Christine McVie. When Stevie went to the Eras tour, Taylor’s surprise song was You’re On Your Own Kid + Clara Bow.

I’m not a huge Billy Joel fan, but I have seen him in concert and really enjoyed it. Seeing him with Stevie is going to be amazing!!!

MMMFx2 😁 I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this reaction, so I carved out some time to watch it a second time tonight!! It reminded me: 1- how much I want to see part 2 in full-on dressed-up hippie-mode 2- HOW MUCH I WANT TO SEE PART 2 😁 😁 😁 Love your reactions so much… Thank you for being the thing I turn to when I want my gloomy days evaporate 🫶

Jennie O'Hara

To hear dreams for the first time again 😭

Nicki Barnes

When you finish Rumors I'd HIGHLY recommend you react to 'Silver Springs' which is a bonus track off Rumors. THEN react to this video of the live performance https://youtu.be/eDwi-8n054s?si=Hqe7a51lRnIlTxCY I swear this is where the side eye was invented because Stevie 100% wrote this song about Lindsay and she SHOWS IT in this performance. Love you guys! MMMF ❤️❤️

Tricia

We love a Fleetwood Mac jam session, road trip, just easy listening. Part two please! Love seeing y’all discover great music!

Clare

You guys could watch Daisy Jones and the Six after this (or read the book K) but that was loosely based on Fleetwood Mac, particularly the romance between Stevie and Lindsey. Songs are pretty cool too and along the vibes of thos album 🫶🏻

Clare

Stevie Nicks once said that "You're on Your Own Kid" by Taylor Swift helped her through the death of Christine McVie, and so when she went to see Taylor at the Eras tour in Dublin, not only did Taylor mash up Clara Bow with Lucky One, but she played the whole of You're on Your Own Kid, aswell 🥹

Clare

Rumours is one of my all time favourite albums. I'm so glad you're reacting to it. Cannot wait for part 2 🫶🏻

Sarah

I know a million people are commenting this but seriously. SILVER SPRINGS! Particularly, you NEED to watch the live version from 1997. It is so iconic. Stevie Nicks is just EVERYTHING but watching her face as she rage sings the song she wrote to Lindsey Buckingham literally cannot be missed!

Mandy Knowles

Y'all don't even know how deep this goes!! I was gifted this OG cassette from the 1970's release by a long since deceased and very special human. FM's first album (self titled) is also so special. The song Crystal is one of the best love songs you will ever hear. So excited for your classic rock journey!!! Better late than never 😅😂💕

Mandy Knowles

OMG and You need to watch Daisy Jones & the SIX on Amazon Prime...based on a novel that is based on the story of Fleetwood Mac. It is soooo good with a killer soundtrack. Ah I can't wait for you two to experience this!

Mandy Knowles

Me yelling IT's Christine McVie aka the Songbird rest her sweet soul ✨ hoping you guys got this by the end of the video lolol

Catherine

I love this video so much!!! Songs of my childhood!!!!!

DrEmily

I don’t often feel my age but wanting to reach thru the phone and scream “Lindsay is a GUY!” (and so many other things) may have given me gray hairs. Love that you guys are exploring classic rock and other genres. I do recommend that you check the band/singer Wikipedia page and photos out just so you don’t have to work so hard to catch up. Give the Patreon a couple days heads up notice and we’d be happy to fill in the big issues and a one liner summary about most songs. Enjoy your journey! You should check out others like Heart (talented sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson) with a career spanning decades.

Teri

The 70’s has the absolute best, most original, and diverse decade of original talent in music ever!!! Period!!

Teri

These guys are a very iconic group of talent.

Teri

Lindsay is a hugely underrated guitarist.

Cornelia sundqvist

If you like this kinda vibe you have to listen to Kate bush

Cornelia sundqvist

Also you have to listen to rihannon by Fleetwood Mac! It’s so good, one of my favourites

Lucy Hoggett

You need to watch the live versions, one of my favourites if 1977 Chain live. Unreal!! And the comments on the YouTube video are hilarious 🤣

Jayme McCowen

The way I’ve died when you came to the realization that Stevie Nicks wasn’t the lead male singer lmaoooooooo

victoria gray

You guys gotta react to ABBA!!!!! You’d have a Blast! Spent many nights dancing and singing in the living room with my grandparents listening to Fleetwood Mac and ABBA growing up! Love from Canada!!

Jennifer Barrasso

Oh man, you guys HAVE to watch the live version of Silver Springs. It’ll change your life, especially since this whole album is a breakup album. You’ll get it when you see it!

Nicole Rise

Lindsey sings majority of don’t stop but Christine mcvie apparently does the second verse!! Also where is the part 2 I need it!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I so badly wanted to be like GUYS NO STEVIE IS THE FEMALE VOCALIST hahaha

Janice

Tusk is the follow up and is post romantic breakups. It’s got a darker tone and sound but is AMAZING

Laura Clayton

Yall just started and you’ve got to dig deep into their drama. This group was out there touring and singing breakup songs together about their breakups! It blows my mind! Listen to it like a back and forth Lindsey to Stevie, Stevie to Lindsey Stevie and Mick, Christine and John and they just aired it all . What kind of breakup evolution is this, some kind of super mature magic in it😂 it’s so good

Ash

Yesssss! Need part 2!!! You need to listen to The Chain, Gold Dust Woman and pleeeeeease listen to Songbird! Christine has the most gentle and delicate vocals for this track! She deserves all of the love!!! Please listen!!!

Eileen Toomey

The live version of Don’t Stop is incredible. The runs the brass inclusion ugh it’s so good

Cara M

When the rain washes you CLEAN you’ll know.

Cara M

My favorite memories of my 20’s is sprawling out on a fluffy rug with red wine and beautiful housemates hungover and listening to this album in vinyl. I’m 48, born in 76 and grew up with my parents playing this. To experience it again as a young adult was perfection. Fleetwood Mac has cemented themselves into the interior of my life, now I play rumours for my kids on vinyl, let’s continue the cycle

Susan Ninos

Please! You need to react-watch Fleetwod Mac the Dance! The entire performance is amazing!!!

Jess

My dad and my stepmom always played this album when we would go camping when I was a kid. Listening to this gives me a cozy feeling, and I still remember all the words!

laura

seeing yall experience this for the first time is incredible

Brandi 🫶🐍

I love when young people experience classic rock for the first time and enjoy it. I was born in 1982 and grew up on all the rock gods and legends and one hit wonders.

Riley Statham

Stevie Nicks was in an episode or 2 of American Horror Story

geneva marie

I'm so proud of whoever put you onto the Rumors album this early on into your viral fame. It's how I knew y'all were real ones. ;)

cal

I don't know how I am JUST NOW finding this but as my girl Marie Kondo would say, this sparked joy. ✨ One of the greatest albums of all time. So glad y'all enjoyed it!
