YAY!

Mikaila Roberts

Idk if this is right but I interpret it as: Songbirds get referenced in love songs all the time… it’s like springtime, happy, romantic. “The songbirds keep singing like they know the score, I love you like never before” like even the birds out here got my number I’m in love 🥹

Rebecca

I don't know if you have or not yet, but look up the history of making this album. It's a fucking ride!

Claire Mullins

If y'all haven't read about the history of the band, it's amazing.

Trishgal

I love Fleetwood Mac, so glad yall are enjoying!! Now, pretty please go listen to Rhiannon and Landslide, both have Stevie on vocals and are absolute gold!!

bits

Yesss Thank you!! Please do the previous album, self titled ("Fleetwood Mac"); imho it's better than Rumors. ❤️🎉

Holly T.

You HAVE TO listen to the live version of Silver Springs. It’s a formative experience.

👻Shelbie F👻

Nowwww do Harry Styles performing the chain please I beg

Vicki

Gold dust woman....top tier

brandi

Yall need to hear Silver Springs now, the lore behind the song is wild. Also Edge of Seventeen by Stevie.

Mary (onlyeverthus)

I had to pause this on Songbird because I was like, wait, I know this song, but not by Fleetwood Mac, there's a beautiful cover of this by Eva Cassidy on the Love Actually soundtrack that y'all should listen to. I had no idea it was a cover until just now 😅

Trishgal

They had cd players in the 70s 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Eliezer De la Cruz

I think you guys should react to Journey. Steve Perry voice is one of a kind.

Lauren

song reminds me when naya Rivera rip naya sung it on glee

Laura J✨

When being born in 1972 finally works out 😂 I grew up on this band like most of you have with Taylor.

Erica Van Pelt

The Chain is one of the most underrated songs ever written.

Laura J✨

Annie Lenox would be a good one

Jo

You guys should react to The Good Witch by Maisie Peters

Lendy Mason

Yes, do not sleep on Silver Springs!!!

Megan

🤟🏻

Mary (onlyeverthus)

Okay, done with the video and man, I didn't realize how many of these songs I'd heard before, and that they were all from the same album. Definitely top tier. And also, a suggestion that doesn't have to do with Fleetwood Mac, lol, but now that Taylor owns all of her music, I was thinking something that could be super fun for you guys to do is listen to and compare the original and Taylor's versions of the songs from Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and 1989, because while the songs are largely the same, you can definitely hear the difference in emotion in the way she sings them in the originals versus the new versions, especially the sadder songs like Dear John, Last Kiss, and All Too Well.

Lendy Mason

Listen to it and watch the live performance and the story behind the song!

nikki

I am begging you to listen to Rhiannon (Stevie sings it). If you love Stevie’s tone and vocals, you will love that song so much. There are so many more songs by them for you to discover. You should really keep going!

Brieanne

The Chain is one of my favorite songs, but this whole album is amazing!

Laura J✨

We did not have cd’s in the late 70’s. We had vinyls, cassette tapes and 8 tracks and Jukeboxes at waffle house

Erica Whittaker

Landslide will forever be my favorite Fleetwood Mac song and in my top 10 all-time breakup jams

Emily Beth

Guys, I was literally driving home from a long week at work wishing you would release this today. Yay!

Emily Beth

But also, you have to stop assuming any amazing female vocals are Stevie. Stevie and Christine are both phenomenal. Here’s the way to tell:

Emily Beth

If it sounds like a beautiful songbird speaking English—that’s Christine If it sounds like an amazing woods witch with campfire smoke in her lungs and dancing under a full moon—that’s Stevie

Emily Beth

Also, as much as you love this, you really need to try out Carole King’s Tapestry album. It’s classic. You probably know a lot of covers of the songs

Emily Beth

Also Carly Simon and James Taylor

Migs

Silver Springs: a must listen! It was left off of the Rumours album originally, but it's now on remastered and deluxe versions

Emily Beth

My parents graduated high school in 74, so while I am an elder millennial, they thought their most important job was to teach me good music, and this was certainly re curriculum. Thank you so much! And also, Daisy Jones and the 6 is a fiction book that Amazon made a series. Loosely based on Rumours fiction. It’s so good. Elvis’s granddaughter plays the lead, and surprise—a Presley can sing. The soundtrack is phenomenal. I’m starting a rewatch now. Y’all should react to the soundtrack

Meg

Omg you HAVE to watch the live performance of Silver Springs (after reading up on it because the teaaaa)

Brandy

As multiple other people have mentioned y'all HAVE to listen to Silver Springs by fleetwood mac. It was a song Stevie wrote about Lindsey that initially didn't make it on to the Rumors album. It was only released as the B-Side to Go Your Own Way. Then they performed it live in 1997 and it is possibly the greatest live performance of all time. You can FEEL the emotion from Stevie as she sings the song directly to Lindsey and he stares back at her. He's literally singing backup vocals to the song his ex wrote about him. The song became SO popular after the live performance that when they released the remastered version of Rumors in 2004 they added Silver Springs to the track list. Y'all should listen to the song first THEN watch the live performance from 1997. I know y'all will absolutely love it!!

Shannon

Silver Springs, Landslide, Gypsy, Rhiannon, Say You Love Me, Storms — other recommendations:) some of my favorites! Or album wise they’re self titled!!! (first album with Stevie and Lindsey!) Like others have said there’s a popular live performance of Silver Springs that’s a must watch! Landslide is also very popular, I’d be surprised if you haven’t heard it.

Lindsey

You need to watch Silver Springs live 1997 then immediately watch Go Your Own Way live 1997.

Mary Beth S.

MMMF!!! This is the most fun ive

Mary Beth S.

MMMF!! This is one of the most fun reactions I've ever seen y'all do, SUCH a good time. This album is top tier. I second all the comments about Silver Springs, read up on the tea, listen to the song, then watch the live

Aliblossom

You need to listen to Harry Styles doing a cover of The Chain in BBC live lounge. SUPERB. And yes, live silver springs is A MUST!!!!

Liam McCrae

The air guitar is so real

Bev Rousch

Superior album. Please please watch Silver Springs because I watch it 2 thousand times a year still.

Jessibubbbly

Terry gets it!!! A pale shadow of one’s former self.

Tarynn

My show is on!!!

Christina

I loved this reaction. Fleetwood Mac is great old school music. Stevie Nix also has great stand alone music.

Meg

Since you loved this album I bet you’d love the Daisy Jones & the Six show!

Katie🫶🩷

“And I wish you all the love in the world But most of all, I wish it from myself” I hope you are so loved, but I hope it’s me that loves you the most🥹

KC McAuley

There are many, many great covers of Songbird. But do yourself a favor and listen to Eva Cassidy. Voice of an angel who left us all too soon.

Mallory

SO glad you’ve discovered the magic of Fleetwood Mac and Rumours

Lauren

You should do the eagles

Kristy Miller

You have to listen to silver springs. It’s almost Stevie’s response to ‘go your own way’ If you watch them sing them live they almost sing the songs directly to each other.

Brooke Byrne

Was not a throuple. Stevie and Lindsey (the guitarist) met in high school and started a band, joined Fleetwood Mac later. They dated for like 8 years. Their breakup influenced a ton of this album. Lindsey had a relationship with the pianist and other vocalist on the band Christine McVie also. The drama caused them to breakup and get back together a lot over decades and the drama continued even up until 2018😅 Silver Springs LIVE in 1997 specifically, it’s the best version. This song is super important to Stevie, it didn’t make it on the album and she wanted to take it with her when she went solo but the band wanted to keep the song. It was released later. The intensity she gives when singing it directly to her ex, ooooooffffff🥴

Amy Eales

Went to a candlelight concert tribute to Fleetwood Mac Friday night. String quartet. Beautiful and amazing. I also left engaged 💍🥰🥰🥰

Clare

About to type that i once read Gold Dust Woman was about Stevie's addiction to cocaine... then you started to look it up 🫠🤣

Amber Minton

MMMF!!! Im so excited you guys got to this! One of the best albums of all time. Songbird was written and performed by Christine Mcvie, one of the few that made it on the album by her ❤️

Elizabeth Christie

My brain melting when I realized you weren’t going to do silver springs at the end. Pleaseeeee read the drama and go back and do the song and then the performance!!!

Kylynn Walton

Gold Dust Woman is OTHERWORLDLY getting to watch her perform it live. I got to see them in 2019 and it is still one of the most magical things I have ever witnessed.

Brianne S

Songbird is the song I walked down the aisle to!

Betty

Did I miss silver springs?

Casey Malue

Everyone commenting about missing SIlver Springs... that song was never on the album lol it was left off. It was a single on the 7" with Go Your Own Way but not the OG Rumours only the Deluxe in terms of albums. I'd recommend listening to The Dance 1997 version though rather than the album version. It's way more emotion and better IMO!

Laura Weston

Please for the love of all that is good and 70s, react to Stevie Nicks 24 karat live tour. It’s Stevie PERFECTION 😭 the woman is an absolute QWEEEEEEN 🎶

Jess

You have to hear Rhiannon, Gypsy & landslide ❤️

Jess

You have to hear Rhiannon, Gypsy & landslide ❤️

PiPi

60 year old listener here - love you two, and loved this! In the 70's this was an unbelievable album - one of the highest selling albums of all time. And, remember, there weren't computers then or anywhere near the technology that exists today. Such a big deal that is was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress. Stevie Nicks became very close friends with Taylor Swift over the years, and at age 77 she was at one of the Eras concerts to support TS. Lastly, I believe Lindsey Buckingham is one of the most underrated guitar players ever - he's amazing. Listen to "Big Love" Live at the Bass Performance Hall by him, really displays his beautiful guitar playing and cool voice.

Kayd maynard

Ya’ll really need to listen to Landslide and Rhiannon! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Katherine B

Everytime yall say “Steeevie!” In Songbird instead of Christine; a star in my heart sky dies.

Jillian Brooke Wyatt

It’s Christine McVee on songbird. Look up the band’s romantic relationships 😉 it’s a fun rabbit hole

Shannon

Listen to the Greatest Hit Album!! Then landslide by Stevie Nicks.

Shannon

Stevie is still touring!!!

Hannah Voss

If you can, you guys have to catch Stevie on tour! You will not be disappointed! She’s still magical!

Asha Eva

SILVER SPRINGS IS A MUST LISTEN!!! Especially the live version she tears Lindsey to shreds right there on stage 😆😆

Teri

I Love the electric guitar solos.

Teri

OMG Kaniyia you’re killing me, I’m dying!

Erinek14

Lindsey is recognized as one of the best guitarists around. His solos on this song are sooooo good live. It’s crazy his skills

Jessica

You gotta put The Chain reaction on YouTube. It'll do numbers. Older people love nothing more than young people discovering music from their youth. I can co-sign that as a middle-aged person. lol

Mel86

You should check out tom petty. Him and stevie have a song together

Meg

You should check out the Daisy jones and the Six album! The show is based on a fictional version of Fleetwood Mac and the music is AMAZING. The lead actress/singer is Elvis Presley's granddaughter.

Jayme McCowen

K looking at T like he was nuts for thinking they were listening to records in the 70’s and not CD’s is giving me life

lochnessVHS

Watching y’all react to songs that have been a part of my life since I was in diapers is an actual trip!

Aimee Boustani

I love y'all sm and watching you experience my favorite album is PURE JOY

Karly Green

Stevie singing back up to this song is diabolical! You should react to the live version, she looks miserable

Hannah Cohen

The Christine McVie erasure was crazy guys please read the Wikipedia lol

Nicole Rise

Ope I found the part 2 THANK GOD

Nerdy Ginger Kid

Maaaaan this brings back so many memories. this was what I woke up to every Sunday when I was a kid and it let me know it was time to start cleaning cause Momma was cleaning.

Erin Knickle

You should watch Harry sing this on the radio 1 account. Or some of the songs he’s does with Stevie

Viviana Cruz

This is one of my favorite albums!! There’s a great documentary about the recording of Rumors, would love to see you guys reacting to that! Lots of great stories

Jennifer Adams

Terry, you’re talking about lore and noticing number patterns. I think you’re actually a real Swifty possibly of the Easter egg variety or theory variety. I’m not an expert. You should probably get diagnosed.🤣🤣🤣

Braxton Robertson

You guys should watch Kansas State University Marching Band’s 2024 performance of Fleetwood Mac! We played “Go Your Own Way” as our closer and it was ELITE!

Brianna Pop

Okay so the quick version of who sings what on Rumors and why: Fleetwood Mac was founded by Mick Fleetwood (drums), John McVie (bass), and Peter Green (vocals/guitar) in London 1967. They have gone through many changes in band members but Mick and John have always remained and are who the band is named after. John's wife Christine (vocals, keys, guitar) joined the band after Peter Green left in 1970. They were primarily a Blues band while in the UK and eventually transitioned to the US full time in 1974. That's when they also heard Stevie Nicks (vocals, percussion) and Lindsey Buckingham (vocals, guitar) and added them to the band. The lineup of Mick, John, Christine, Stevie, and Lindsey is their most famous lineup and the one responsible for Rumors. Stevie, Lindsey, and Christine were the main songwriters and can typically be heard singing their own songs (ex. Lindsey wrote "Second Hand News", Stevie wrote "Dreams", and Christine wrote "Songbird"), which is why there is no one "lead singer". During the writing of Rumors, Stevie and Lindsey were dating but broke up because of possible cheating turmoil, Mick was divorcing his wife, and John and Christine were divorcing because Christine fell in love with the band's lighting engineer. So yes, all the songs are pretty much about each other and they were all forced to work together and sing songs about themselves. But they were committed to the work more than anything and came together with that shared goal and created one of the most iconic albums ever.

Lindsay Douglas

Did I join your patreon just to watch these Fleetwood Mac videos? Absolutely I did. 😍

Annastasia Beaverhausen

Watching y'all discover Stevie for the first time, and really feel her emotions through the music, has made me smile so much. Y'all appreciate the true genius she is. Thank you

Ernie Baby Billy

You need to listen to Eva Cassidy’s version of Songbird. You will weep.

Ernie Baby Billy

You also need to watch the live show from the Fleetwood Mac reunion tour. You need to watch Lindsay sing Bleed to Love Her while staring at Stevie the whole time. Earth shattering.

cal

This is the correct reaction to The Chain. MMMF!

Kell Bell

I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t react similarly to The Chain.😂 Y’all probably know this by now (I’m rewatching old content), but the song is basically about the fact that, in spite of the breakups of the mcvie’s and Stevie & Lindsey, the chain that holds the band together can’t be broken. They’re saying they’re going to work together and keep the band together, despite the difficult emotions it takes for them to do that. Another cool fact… it’s the only song on the album that’s credited to all five of them and it was literally created from fragments of songs written by each of them. The song was meant to be a symbol of how all of them were like broken pieces that only worked when they were put together. It’s a great song even when you don’t really get what it’s about, but man, does it hit even harder when you do! And not dirty Myrtle! I didn’t know y’all knew about all that!🤣🙌🏽
