This was wonderful and I love watching your love for Fleetwood Mac continue to grow! I think this song and You’re On Your Own Kid could be sister songs, with both touching on pre-fame life and being on your own. Plus, as you saw, Stevie had her late friend in mind with this song and she also said You’re On Your Own Kid helped her cope with Christine McVie’s death. So I tend to connect those two songs in my mind. I recommend adding Seven Wonders to your list. It’s another Stevie-led Fleetwood Mac song with lots of great group harmonies I think you’d like.

I don’t think you’ve reacted to any of these, but I would love to see it Stand back by Stevie Leather and lace by Stevie Nicks and Don Henley stop dragging my heart around by Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty Hold me by Fleetwood mac (lindsey and christine) and tell me lies by Fleetwood Mac (that song has so much Christine and so much harmony!!) As an 80s girl, these were the songs that I loved so much

I have listened to that song for decades and never knew what it was about. Wow. Way back before we had the internet, MTV was the place where we watched music videos. The “world premiere” was the first time it was shown to the world. In Taylor terms, it would be like a big countdown leading up to the video. It wasn’t like it is now, where u could pause it, back up and rewatch it. U had to wait for them to just show it again. There was no genius for lyric explanations either. I feel very, very old now. 🤣 MMMF 😁
