Terry had the correct reaction to gravity. Devastating. A lot of people liken the song to domestic abuse or addiction. If you are interested, in 2012, dancers, Kayla and Kupono did a contemporary dance to this song on So you think you can dance and the interpretation was addiction. It is absolutely iconic and devastating. I highly recommend. This song makes me cry every time from a previous narcissistic abusive relationship.

They also collaborated with Jay z mixing their songs and his together. Also Evanescence songs "Going under" and "Call me when you're sober" are great songs as well. For Alanis a good one is her live at the Grammys performance of her song "Uninvited"

Numb, crawling, given up, a place for my head, and soo many other songs, they have such a strong discography. Especially on Hybrid Theory and Meteora, but the rest of their albums were honestly really good imo. And to bring you up to speed on linkin park, their new lead singer is Emily, Mike has always done vocals and rapping. Chester unfortunately passed in 2017. I’ve been a huge fan of Linkin park since I was a child. Chester’s passing was a really rough and emotional one for me and a lot of others.

Speaking of Alison Krauss, she did an incredible album called “Raising Sand” with Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin. It doesn’t make sense on paper, but their vocal melding is masterful. “Killing the Blues” is a great example. “Sister Rosetta Goes Before Us” really shows off Alison’s vocals.

Nostalgia bomb 😂 Y'all should really do Sara's debut album, Little Voice, it's so good. Also y'all would love Nickel Creek, they've got the same sound as the Brad Paisley/Alison Krauss duet, but I don't know if enough people would vote for them 😫 They're bluegrass too, and their debut album was produced by Alison. Parting note: 90's and early 2000's country will FUCK YOU UP. Like, rip your heart out and fully stomp all over it. There were some damn heartbreaking songs in that time. But the pain is so so good.

If you need all the lore, lyrics broken down, need to know about their Anywhere But Home concert tour video (that I still own on DVD), anything, I got you. Knowing this song was after something her husband had said before they ever dated or got married makes a lot more sense when you find out he’s a therapist. Also rec Everybody’s Fool, Call Me When You’re Sober, and Good Enough music videos—they have the making of videos/bts, too. For real, though, give me ALLLLL the Ev reactions. She influenced everybody. It was global & everywhere & still rocks. So much gossip about her relationships! - Reba in the song is the baby sister & she took out 🔫 her own fiancée (who’d also…w/the wife), the Wife (the cheater w/everyone) of her older brother (the “He” in the song/Raymund in MV), & also the big bro/Raymund’s best friend Andy (bc he’d…also slept w/Wife). So her big bro/Raymund took the blame for Andy (the only body they found) & was h*nged for it. Reba is the absolute Queen of Country. - Sara is amazing, I highly reccomend “King of Anything”. - as for “Whiskey Lullaby”…I tried to warn you! I said bring a box of tissues! I highly recommend Evanescence album reacts, and going down the rabbit hole of live performances because Amy’s voice is absolute perfection. Every single album has zero skips for me. She has done some great collabs also. Also if they ever do a concert near you you MUST go. There is something so healing about their energy. I saw them a couple years ago for the first time (first time they had been back to Adelaide in 20 years) and my inner child was in her element and feeling heard and seen for the first time in a long time. Anyway, I digress.
