Hey! If you haven't seen them yet, please check out the latest sets with Midna and Samus. I tried some new techniques to enhance the characters' faces, so yeah, the style has changed a bit. And I wanted to ask you—do you think it looks better or worse?

I'm not very good with noticing details, so old Samus set looks awesome, new Samus set looks awesome too) I think new faces looks more "contrasty" but a bit of details from your side would definitely be appreciated for making more educated decision.

After very thorough investigation I clearly identified difference in style)) Although I like the old style, new one is definitely better

Pichu Pikachu

For Samus, I believe older style was better. Newer Samus set looks ok in few cuts but overall not as uniformly pleasing as the older style. Does Midna have reference point?

Pichu Pikachu

Hm... then again I guess most of people like the new style better so... the MOB has spoken :)

There's no direct reference but if you'll compare Midna's face to Jade's (image 2) you would notice that Jade's face looks more "drawn" than Midna's. I like that style too but it has less sharp details around eyes and nose, skin also looks more simplistic on the face and more detailed on the body. So I would say new face style fits better but both of them are great

People tend to get tired of the old and like the new. If you look at the same style for a long time, it will become boring.

If you hadn't mentioned it i most likely wouldn't have noticed. But now that i've compared some sets i have to say i like the old ones better. Especially Nyotengu comes to mind. On the other hand Midna turned out to be good, so there you have it...

Aardvark Twelve

Comparing the face of Nyotengu in the sets on 5th November vs 24 December 2024 (if that's a fair comparison of it) the new style is a million percent better for me. Thank you for making that change.
