It's SPOOKY SEASON! October is the perfect time to look back and see the scary, scary things that were happening in the world of wrestling.

Including this match! Between THE GIANT and HULK HOGAN (not Hollywood!) in the year 1995. This is right before the retro review we did a couple weeks ago, where we were introduced to the Darkside Brother. Sadly, no Darkside Brother on this, but somehow there are Monster Trucks. Nothing makes sense. Enjoy!

Just to explain it - Giant wins by dq here not Hogan. Jimmy Hart as Hogan's manager attacked the ref so Hogan got dq'd . It's only on the next Nitro that Hart reveals the title could change hands by dq during this match.

MVP of nitro those 1st 2 years him or Dean Malenko and his steller in ringwork as the 1st junior ace One of my favourite TV matches ever is his match vs ROADBLOCK on the go home Nitro before Halloween Havoc 96. It takes 3 attempts to put this giant man in the rack which makes it more impressive and a bigger pop when a lesser man would of just given up and hit the bionic forearm and pinned.

The Yet-ay was mean to be Giant Gonzales but he got sick a week before the event so they wrapped Ron Reese in bandages put him in lifts and gave him a skull cap so he looked taller than The Giant and sent him out there. The plan was to unwrap the Yeti later to reveal Gonzales skin suit and all but obviously that never happened.

Hulk Hogan, ring general, SLOWLY (with the ref) guiding a very, very, very jolly green giant through probably their first match is something. It's almost kind of charming how basic this setup is. Bearhug bearhug more bearhugs, chops, go back to that, let me kick out of your move brother, repeat. Frankly, this would be a memorable bad match even before the YEETTIII comes out and makes it even more special. Maybe Giant figured out his endless face/heel turns from how Luger did it here.
