They wanted to make it a Kiss themed show with a concert and stuff and then you wonder why Eric was let go with an idea like that.

Also, there was supposed to been like a Kiss stable that would've been: the Demon, Vampiro and ICP. Which probably does explain why Russo put the Demon with the Dark Carnival as a wink and nod to that.

The final three-hour Nitro and whoa boy it's a stinker. Calling Russo a hack is being too nice to him.

They should have had Tank randomly come out and punch Doug Dillinger every week.

There's at least another moment where during a battle royal of some sort, Tank randomly wanders down the ramp, punches Dillinger and casually walks back up the ramp and through the tunnel.

The "parking lot" is just the rest of the Astrodome because they're not using it for the broadcast. And yes, this is the Houston Astrodome. The same Houston Astrodome as the host of WrestleMania X-Seven.
