Some runs in pro wrestling are just better watched all in one go, and that's what we are doing here on this edition of Watch This. Back in 1999, the Public Enemy were making a name for themselves, so much so that they garnered interest from the WWF and got themselves a deal. They then went on a historic run, which we're all going to watch together!Watch This!

natey boi

i read the title and immediately said “no.. NOOoooOOOoo!!”

Vincent Maurath

Please do a Doug Furnas and Phil Lafon match for watch this

bonerific

update: i was absolutely right, these guys blow

bonerific

he's going crazy with it

James Alvarez

The idea of Johnny Grunge nervously doing his absolute best [which includes a 2k Comeback] because he’s working Owen Hart will be making chuckle for days

Two-Tone MoonStone

It’s crazy that getting beat up by the Acolytes is the least embarrassing thing to happen in this run lmaoo

Jack Kinghoff

Why was everyone gut kicking off Irish whips in ‘99??? Drives me insane

Mah-Dry-Bread

Good lord, young Jeff just launched himself with zero regard

AL? Kidneys

These guys might be some of my least favorite wrestlers of all time. This is going to be a treat

BigJ

Time to watch some shitters get their asses whooped.

Steele Lukas

Hell yeeeeahh. Also dunno if you guys saw but WWE Vault uploaded a dark match between Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill against the FBI from MSG. It’s only 5 minutes but still 👏🏻👏🏻

initialdavid

Jeff Hardy randomly pulling a Phoenix Splash out of nowhere is crazy

JP Tuesday

Furnas/LaFon 96-97 run compelation?

Mayfly

Why we hating on public enemy out in these comments man? These dudes were over as hell in their time, it’s not their fault JBL decided to take liberties crazy

Mayfly

Okay that Hardy boys match was a little crazy

JackRyanForPope

Well. Somehow I forgot any of this happened despite watching Raw at this time and remembering Heel JR quite well. Happy Pride Month!

Tyler Mathieson

He was like "I'm getting crazy ribbed by this dude if I don't do something...fuck"

JonHughes411

I was just about to say that it looked like Faarooq was being a lot nicer to Rocco than Bradshaw was to Johnny. Maybe their issue was mainly with him. *Bradshaw brains Rocco with a chair* Never mind… Hahaha.

Tyler Mathieson

I thought the Acolytes match would have been the cherry on top, but the four team tag and one of the Hardys getting thrown over the table to the floor to then be put through the table was something else

Tyler Mathieson

That match happened on my 7th birthday, worst present I ever got

PT

Better question: How the hell did the Hardys (mostly Jeff) not DIE during these matches?

Slade Richards

I imagine the present 4 years prior was a close second

Clay Goodman

Double Stone Cold's on the CRT, WHAT?, I said Double Stone Cold's on the CRT. Oh. Hell. YEEEEAH!!!

Trafficcoen

I'm pretty sure it was said that the Dudleys got the cold shoulder from the locker room when they came in because the tag division assumed they'd have issues with them like they had with PE

WWF No Mercy

I was today years old when I learned that the Public Enemy stuck around for a few weeks after getting fucked by the APA. Genuinely thought they got fired immediately after that match

Treadcutter213

Whole lot of CTE on the CRT in this one boys.

Noct

I can't believe the boys are going to Nastyville.

KingKZ

Can you even call this a run? It's more of a jaunt.

A Diamond Cutter Upside Down Is An RKO

I don't doubt that for a second. They also came straight outta ECW rather then WCW so Vince and Heymen having a working relationship and both hating Bischoff maybe got them booked a little better from the jump. Also the Dudlyz can both actually wrestle. lol

super duper fly

I'm convinced Public Enemy did influence or help out the Hardyz

Mattie

There like the Dudley boys if they were fat and had no talent or any interesting qualities and if the Dudley's also had a shitty entrance theme and a shit gimmick.

Old Al

Look At Edge

VacuumWhistler

I havent even started and we have 35 minutes. WHAT A BLESSED DAY

Hank Kronenberg

I love how this is just a mini-SGH because instead of just one match it's one tag team's short lived run in the Fed.....for unfortunate reasons.

VacuumWhistler

This is so fucking funny, holy shit.

FalconX9K

There's a weird alternate timeline where The Public Enemy had The Dudleys spot in the TLC trilogy

Nathan Pierce

All timer collection must buy now no returns

Hot and Cold Aaron Cox

Good to know Jeff would die on bumps in every single match since the beginning

Veeeeeeeera

I’ve always heard that Rocco especially didn’t even realize they were being intentionally stiffed by the Acolytes, he was so used to working with clumsy/reckless fuckers.

Jerel

That P.E vs APA match felt definitely like good night for wrestling. So much so that P.E. decided let us piss of the APA tonight. Lol

Garrett Kenney

That 8 man tag finish was the most obvious "Fuck You" that I have ever seen in a wrestling ring. I could not stop laughing.

A Diamond Cutter Upside Down Is An RKO

I had to run this back and I've got to say, I want to see the alternate history in which they don't try to big league the Acolytes. The fact that they were getting raw promos and segs, maybe Heyman vouched for them or something. Maybe they wanted to get the Tag Division a little hardcore flavor they were just a year from the first TLC after all.

bonerific

do they still suck in this timeline, or can they actually wrestle

A Diamond Cutter Upside Down Is An RKO

They still suck but their inability to actually bump means the ladder car crash spots look even more fucked so it's still very entertaining.

Badnewsbrown202

I hate to admit it, but I love these guys lol. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, because I grew up watching ECW Hardcore TV.

Hobo Joe

This was a dope format for Watch This. Public Enemy... not so dope

Antonio Verde

I believe Brood getting kicked out immediately leads into the most unintentional funny moment of the attitude Era - the Gangrel/Brood promo on the first smackdown.

NINJAFNSHOGUN

Wow this made me say can't wait for these dudes to hear the APA song when ever I throw the pod on especially the nasty boys match in WCW

polo bear

Public Enemy are just Dudley Boyz (the long way) when you think about it. don't think about it

Cad Chamberlain

That last match with the Hardy Boyz was kinda hot ngl

The Real RollerCodster

How could you guys skip over the GOAT Val Venis's match!? What's wrong with y'all!? The Hardy's looking like the young bucks here 😆 The dominator is definitely one of the goat finishes in WWE for sure.

Scott Cramer

during that Owen and Jarrett Match they fully took Roccos name from him lol
