I started watching Nitro from the beginning a while back having never seen pretty much anything from WCW before, and seeing the progression of this storyline in real time was crazy. I fully understand how this changed the business back then. When Scott Hall first came down through the crowd, you could feel how everything about this guy, and later Nash was just totally different from everything else on the show. There wasn't an inkling of a hint that Hogan would be the third guy. There had been tensions between Macho and Luger for months, even between Sting and Macho (if I remember correctly, it's been about a year since I watched). I can see why everyone thought it would be Luger. People make fun of Heenan saying, "Whose side is he on?" when Hogan is coming down, but it makes total sense for Heenan to say that given his disdain for Hogan. If anything, I feel like it would have thrown people off the scent more. Just great stuff all around. Also, shoutout Woman in that dress, I mean that with 100%, with a 1000%, my goodness
