What do you do when your biggest star is injured and advertised for the main event? Well, there's one idea, at least.

WWF Survivor Series 1999

On this edition of SGH, it's SURVIVOR SERIES season, so thanks to your suggestions, we decided to watch WWF Survivor Series 1999! The WWF is trying to figure out how to keep their top acts bodies from falling apart, and also trying to find ways to make new top guys. None of that matters when you're still selling out buildings like this, so we don't have to worry about that right now, right?!

The Rock is set to take on Stone Cold Steve Austin & WWF Champion Triple H in the main event, but something tells us that plan may change. Also, absolutely all of the 'Survivor Series Style' matches you can dream of, with all of your favorite WWF stars!Watch here!

A Diamond Cutter Upside Down Is An RKO

This is the fourth or fifth Survivor Series we've watched for SGH I believe. Gotta say, didn't realize how all over the place this PPV history is. Clan Matches, 1v1 tournaments, FFA. They about to start capturing flags in a minute!

joshkots

Holy shit what an awful show LMAO THANK YOU BOYS for keeping it entertaining

Treadcutter213

Real world answer to the boys question, yes getting hit or kicked in the groin/perineal area hurts regardless of genitals due to the sensitivity of the tissue. Kayfabe answer, no. The ladyballs are on the inside causing any low blow to deal zero damage.

Steele Lukas

So we know that a young CM Punk in training saw the Chyna vs Jericho match and said fuck it, that’s gonna be my finish.😂😂😂

D.J.O.

Val Venis, Mark Henry, Steve Blackman and Gangrel might be the most oddest fucking team of all team. Lol

John Nickell

This was in Detroit. Man I miss the Joe

PT

This was a shitty RAW you had to pay for with some especially terrible filler. This company was hot though! This will never happen again!

Badnewsbrown202

How did I not know Chyna did the fucking Pepsi Plunge,, holy shit lol

Charlie Hopper.

8 year old me watching Chyna do a pepsi plunge off the top rope: holy fuck, that was awesome!!! 34 year old me watching Chyna do a pepsi pluge off the top rope: holy fuck, that was awesome!!!

FalconX9K

The Acolytes coming out to Blow Me Away would have changed the business

FalconX9K

Wow, Shawn Stasiak did an F5 the long way

Sorry it’s a deadlock reference

Bah gawd that Jericho Chyna match is underrated 1 star from Meltzer and a 5 on cage match. That shit was awesome!

PJ Pirinen

WHOO-HO-HOO! YEE-HAW! WHEEEEE! ...and that's the word... of da Grandmaster.

Osmomandias

The big three match we never got

Terence Wiggins

Every time Jawnny says "6 7" it sounds like his Paul Heyman impression

TopDegenerate

anyone else having trouble fullscreening videos on desktop? It just will not work for me, and keeps resetting the video

Mah-Dry-Bread

Meat's theme sounds way too much like Sami Zayn's heel theme

FalconX9K

2:16:34 Finally Has Come Hockey The Rock Back To Town

Mah-Dry-Bread

Holy Shit! I knew I recognized Tori's theme, they reused it for Tucker way back in NXT before Heavy Machinery was a thing!

Viewtiful~

Bulldog not coming out with a v neck sweater is a missed chance lol

D.J.O.

JR being overly concerned for Steve Austin’s well being but more so the future booking was one of the most hilarious bits the boys did.

Viewtiful~

Crash Holly looks just like Adam Priest wait lmao

Trevon Burtch

I remembered this show being awful and it ended up just being average.

Josh Bailey

The Pepsi Plunge in '99 was so nuts but I'm surprised that no one is talking about how bad that shit looked. they didn't even show a replay of it lol

Happy Tiger Snugglefur

James got the Black shirt, Gold Chain and Orange/Blue lighting looking Clean!

That Jabroni Named Al

Rikishi isn't even on TV yet at this point, and I only know this because it was part of Foley's "proof" when Rikishi did it for the Rock

That Jabroni Named Al

I can't tell if they're joking or not, but Boss Man IS next in line for a title shot in a dogshit match at Armageddon after this lol

Mah-Dry-Bread

I got so pumped when facepaint Mideon came out, you have no idea

Mah-Dry-Bread

Man shout outs to Mideon for how high he got up on that chokeslam. Mideon is not a small dude

John Doe

So as they brought up Pepsi plunge, I was like... OH SHIT SHE DOES THAT HERE, this is gonna be great! I think I never saw it live, I just remember reading about the finish in WWF magazine. Now I know why no one talks about it, its nearly unrecognizable as a pedigree, lmao. People talk about it being rough on your knees, Chyna damn near Sid's her left leg. I don't think anyone had to talk people out of doing that move in the future, they took one look at that and said NOPE.

John Doe

Alright just made it through the main. Holy shit show looks lost in a couple of big spots. There's a few moments in the ending stretch where it looks like he's either way too early or super late on stuff. Show and Rock can't figure out if they should meet in the ring or out of the ring after show bumps the ref, and their brawl is really awkward, seemingly teasing a table bump that never happens. Rock and Show keep super obviously looking back to HHH or the entrance in this entire exchange, and Show seems like he's having trouble keeping things in order. Then the finish is Vince swinging at HHH, HHH ducks, turns to Show, and Show just...stares at him??? And HHH waits a beat, says fuck it, and turns around on his own??? Was this the finish or was this HHH powering through a botch?

Hank Kronenberg

I thought Stone Cold getting run over happened at the very end of the show so that way it would be a cliffhanger that you would need to tune in to Raw for the next night, but no they do that during the middle of the show so that it would lead into who would take over for the main event title match instead.

the big amish nick kurtz

"it's like when you see an angel and your eyes can't comprehend what's going on" - james darnell on the 6 7 position

ConsulttheBones

One of the Mean Street Posse (I don't know their names) doing a crucifix to Gangrel is a really good bit

JonHughes411

I’m so glad I’m not the only one to think that. Hahaha. Definitely should have pinned him off of it.

JonHughes411

Jesus Christ… That show sucked so much ass. We need more of this shit for SGH. 😂😂😂

Son of The Andrew The Test The Martin aka The Foking Cleaner

“He had plenty of time to move out of the way of the car” and the bit of him leaving right before shittermania 2000 and leaving triple h in the main event scene made me think of Foresight Steve Austin vs Hindsight Hulk Hogan

Esteban Duque Ortiz

I need every episode to have Jawnny doing a JR impression fuckkkkk, I was dying when JR was checking up on Austin!

CJExtreme98

on paper i wasn't too interested in this one but turned out to be really fun. hell yeah

Marcus Summers

Holy shit, they could not have been pointing the finger at Billy Gunn any harder. He's gone from every DX appearance before Austin gets run over, comes out late during the Outlaws entrance, missing the belt, and King pointing out it was somebody blond. I think if he doesn't get hurt and kicked out of the group they probably just stick with him instead of pivoting to Rikishi

Angel

Remember watching this live and being so confused for how the main event goes but interested because it was unexpected. It’s a shame we never truly got a HHH/Austin/Rock triple threat match

Angel

PS: Big Show vs Bossman is the eventual WWF title match at Armageddon. The most Sunday Night Heat ahh WWF title match

Sorry it’s a deadlock reference

yeah they definitely learnt to not do it from the top rope because of this spot XD too much time falling creates to much separation. still a fucking crazy finish in 99 tho

Snappums

Wow I didn't even consider the lack of belt incriminating him.

Max

love watching PPVs from this era because you realise just how terrible this company was, forever, and yet we loved it because that's star power baby. I knew Big Show did the funeral stuff and won the title aorund this time but I never put two and two together that they just went straight into it... jesus

KingDonnybrook

The arena likely supplied the black drape for the hockey boards, which is common for most venues that have boards in the concrete

Jef

“BossMan should get a shot” they said jokingly…

Wolfgang Xander

Ain't NO WAY Chyna invented the Pepsi Plunge.... WHY NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THIS?! Deadlock doing lord's work.

M

aint no way tony's last sgh is 6 7

Essie
