It's November 4th, 2004, and for Kurt Angle, it was supposed to be a regular day in the ring, but what nearly happens could have changed the careers of him & his "opponent" forever!

On this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we're going to take a look at the infamous incident between Kurt Angle & Tough Enough Season 4's Daniel Puder. Puder, who is definitely from the UFC, has become a fan favorite as of late on the SmackDown-exclusive "Million Dollar Tough Enough". Al Snow has brought Kurt Angle out to teach these guys a lesson in what it takes to be a WWE Superstar, including doing squats, running, eating pasta, and drinking milk. After Kurt puts them through a session of burpees, he asks any of the competitors if they want to get in the ring with him. Daniel Puder is the man to step up to the plate, and everything after that is history. Also on this episode, Booker T is getting ready for his PPV title match against JBL, but JBL & his "Chief of Staff" Orlando Jordan have come up with a plan to try to take him out before then. Josh Mathews interviews Orlando Jordan before his scheduled match with Booker T, and Orlando & JBL's attitude sets Josh off, leading to him teaming up with Booker T in the MAIN EVENT of this SmackDown to face JBL & Orlando! We also can't forget that Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak are on this show. They take on the team of RVD & Rey Mysterio! Spike Dudley & The Dudley Boyz look to take out The Big Show before Survivor Series, and Jackie Gayda looks to defend the honor of her man, Charlie Haas, against Dawn Marie in an Arm Wrestling Contest. 2004 really was special.

My favorite episodes of the pod when they watch the worst episodes ever man. Makes the best podcasts. :)

That ace combat game is actually really fucking good and has a beautiful ending the music in those games makes you really immersed

theonlywildman

Honestly almost all of the ace combat games are like this. Big recommendations to go play more ace combat

Garrett Kenney

So apparently Josh Matthews has a singles match against Orlando Jordan the following week...AND WINS!

Eugene Earst Elmsley

To train Bryan Danielson, Shawn Michaels made him eat pasta and milk, then do sprints and squats for 10 hours a day

Should’ve had the Ultimate Warrior as a tough enough trainer. “EAT THE PASTA AGAIN, IM FIFTY FUCKING YEARS OLD.”

Yo, since there was an Ace Combat convo lemme just give you a description so everyone has an idea of what they are. Imagine Metal Gear, but planes. Not a perfect 1 to 1. But Ace Combat is wild! Also the soundtracks are my pinnacle of video game soundtracks. Not a series for everyone, but the music is 1000% a recommendation.

Veeeeeeeera

Three things. 1. I heard Puder suspected the milk and pasta was supposed to make them bloated and sluggish for a later challenge so he was just kinda playing with his food not eating it unless Al Snow was right in his face. 2. Daniel Rodimer is currently in jail for murdering a guy who allegedly offered his (adult) daughter cocaine at a party. 3. Despite Marty Wright being cut for lying about his age, according to Dave Meltzer at least three guys who made it to Smackdown lied about having a college basketball, college football, and/or arena football background — he couldn’t find any of their names on the past rosters of the teams/leagues they mentioned.
