"Far as I know, that's Razor Ramon!"

On this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we take a look back at this episode of WWF Monday Night RAW from September 30th, 1996. Everyone has been glued to their screens, waiting for the returns of Razor Ramon & Diesel to the WWF. Everyone thought they were long gone, taking over WCW as Scott Hall & Kevin Nash, but Good Ol' Jim Ross has come up with an unbelievable plan which involves bringing the very real Razor Ramon & Diesel back home. We've seen glimpses of them, and last week on RAW, JR re-introduced The Bad Guy to the WWF! It is 100% without a doubt a man named Razor Ramon. We're blessed with the in-ring return of Razor Ramon here on RAW, as well as promised an appearance by Big Daddy Cool, Diesel! Gorilla Monsoon, Jerry Lawler, Kevin Kelly, and really the entire company all have an issue with this. Gorilla Monsoon goes as far as to come out during Razor Ramon's match to tell JR that the WWF had nothing to do with this, and that this is very obviously NOT Razor Ramon or Diesel!Undertaker & Mankind are getting themselves prepared for the first ever "Buried Alive" match at In Your House, and what better way to prepare themselves than to hang around in a graveyard and mess with some dirt? Also on this episode, Stone Cold Steve Austin goes one-on-one with Jake Roberts, The Godwinns take on The Grimms, and we can't forget our huge main event! Shawn Michaels teams up with his mentor, Jose Lothario, to take on the team of Vader & Jim Cornette! All of that, and much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!

JR was so fucking annoying this episode it had me wishing we were watching 2007 RAW again…

PT

It's a wonder why Nitro was kicking this show's ass! This episode is an extinction-level event. At least Stone Cold will happen. And this was only an hour long.

The boys better be ready for 3,000 ChicoMengBadGuy Patreon shouts out.

Chicomang Badguy may be the best bit since Bobby Eatonthepussy

YouTube won’t let me watch says I’m not logged in but won’t let me sign in

Angel

It’s been a while since I laughed this hard. How is the Fake Razor impression somehow funnier than the real one

Punisher Dice Morgan was digging a hole because Hashimoto told him his money was buried there

I can see why WCW was killing it. This was the competition.

ceeankay

I had just turned 8. I was watching WCW, not THIS shit.

BigJ

You boys were doing the belligerent JR bit for so long, that when I watched the actual JR be a belligerent heel all I could do is laugh at it.

ColdStoneSteveAutism

“That’s not Razor Ramon” “It is Razor Ramon” “…that’s not Scott Hall” “I didn’t say Scott Hall I said Razor Ramon!”

BigJ

Jawnny forgot to mention nWo voice guy also did the "the following broadcast..." intro for newlegacyinc.

Hulk Hogan leaving WCW because he couldn’t hit the piledriver on Miss Elizabeth then going back to WWF to form the OWN with fake Diesel & fake Razor would’ve changed the wrestling business forever lmao. WWF could’ve ran an angle teasing a third man & signed Tiger Ali Singh to play Bollywood Hulk Hogan. “Let me tell you something my friend! Your computer has a virus dude!” ☠️

Veeeeeeeera

Insane fact, Scott Hall was never in a Royal Rumble but Razor Ramon still was. I haven’t watched yet but I learned not that long ago that Rick Bognar did a Razor Ramon parody called Slice n Dice Ramirez on some ECW shows and it got over, and he was playing the fake Razor on Raw very soon after.

JP Tuesday

Austin started wearing the knee brace after IYH: Final Four. He injures his knee when he was eliminated from the match.

geeman360

Dude the fucking “But can we talk about the contradiction?” reference fucking killed me lmao I hadn’t thought of that video in years. This whole episode was fucking hilarious

HHH stealing Mr Perfect’s line about nobody beats Mr Perfect. And uses it on Shelton Benjamin in 2004 🤣😂
