"RING OF HONOR!! R-O-H!!"

On this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we're headed back to July 11th, 2005 to re-visit this much talked about moment in wrestling history. The Edge/Matt Hardy/Lita drama is still unfolding at this time, with Matt Hardy having been released due to it all. But, on this episode of RAW, Matt Hardy is back for revenge! Matt shows up, attacks Edge during his match with Kane, and shouts "COME SEE ME AT RING OF HONOR! ROH!" into the microphone.John Cena recently joined the brand, and is already at odds with current RAW General Manager, Eric Bischoff, who looks to make an example out of Cena via Chris Jericho. This isn't the only person Jericho has a problem with, though, as Jericho interrupts Carlito's "Carlito's Cabana" talk show. They both argue over who should interview Shawn Michaels about why he attacked Hulk Hogan, but ultimately, the original wrestling-talk-show-host "Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up to steal the spotlight, and will have HBK on his show later tonight!Speaking of Carlito, he will be defending his Intercontinental Championship against Shelton Benjamin, the man he cheated out of the championship at WWE Vengeance just a couple weeks ago. Kurt Angle hosts his Gold Medal Invitational, where "Famous Teacher Who Got Fired" Matt Striker accepts the challenge. Also, Chris Masters looks to get revenge on Tajiri for spitting green mist in his eyes, and we get our first elimination segment for the 2005 RAW Diva Search! All of that, and so much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!

John Nickell

James favorite segment the Carlito's Cabana. Can’t wait to hear his thoughts lol

Venusflychap

not watched/listened to the full pod yet but i remember the lita byte this thing with matt and it was so awkward to watch

Treadcutter213

Johnny meeting Alabama Kane has me dying

Jubs

Speaking of shooting, I can't wait for them to review the May 3, 2012 episode of TNA Impact where Ric Flair shoots on Gut Check and gets Alex Silva a job.

WalkerOfTheNight

Johnny meeting a random guy in a Kane mask and Lonely Kane was 10/10

Belf

Realizing I was way more stoned than I thought I was last night because I legit thought that Carlito and Shelton match was COOKING Genuinely thought the same about the Masters/Tajiri match and now I don’t know what’s real anymore

PT

There were many choices for possible pod art for this episode. And I admit I am shocked you didn't make them draw Snitsky and feet.

Joe Gonzalez

I was at this show! After Matt’s cry out of “ring of honor” I started yelling out the matches for the upcoming ROH shows. People laughed at first and then didn’t care. Then definitely went home and posted about it on the boards.

My Mom blew Ryback in Hershey PA #feedmemoms

I can’t believe this was the first show I ever saw in person. I was 6 lol the dark main was Cena/Batista vs JBL/HHH. I don’t even remember piper being there but it’s crazy I was there for this. I oddly enough remember the tajiri Chris masters seg, though lol

Nick Cumberbatch

There were rumors that it was Paul Heymans voice behind the WWE intro.

natey boi

december 04 lita was winning the women’s worlds championship against trish in the main event of raw and 7 months later everyone is calling her a slut and snitsky is sniffing her toes- fuck this company. wcw should’ve won the war.

Rich Pearsall

Continental Airlines Arena in New York?! Jawnny must be blocking out all the Stanley Cup banners the Devils won there.

Nick C.

It's a tragedy that Turner sold off WCW just a few months before launching Adult Swim. You know we were denied some great cross-promotional bits and cameos if Williams Street could've worked with WCW talent.
