This is a true story. I was just a kid of course and I had my dad rent this for me from blockbusters. Back in the day, early 2000's. It was infact the uncensored version. I saw Mae Youngs saggy tits and it was one of the first times I saw boobs as a child. Seriously. I remember being a dumb kid and getting caught by my mom while she was walking by. I got in trouble and mom learned about how 'bad' wrestling is. She asked me what it looked like, and my response was "they looked like Sorry pawns".. like the board game. Story is true, as the sky is blue.

Just in case anyone was curious about the bikini contest from the original broadcast: when Mae exposed herself the first time it was censored but when Mae is revealed as the winner that was when you saw them. Which is why there was a quick cut in the Peacock/Network version

Dude, I choked once. Literally couldn't talk, could hardly make a noise. It's surreal panic moment where you just kinda suddenly come to terms with the fact that you may be about to die. Thankfully I was on the couch eating with someone so I could just wave for attention and we quickly did the heimlich and I was fine, but it's a little traumatizing. I learned my lesson about not eating dry chicken without having water first. For what it's worth for those of you who are lucky enough to have not choked, pretty much the moment the person has their arms around your belly you're gonna cough up the food. The heimlich maneuver is really easy and fast. It takes like 2 seconds and you'll be all good, no need to panic getting into position for it.

So what happened with Kane's pyro I don't think was that they fucked it up, they likely had a fire blast in the lighting rig like for Jericho's entrance and the concussion blast was what was under the ring (and why the smoke came out from under the ring)

Its crazy how obvious the switch out of the barbed wire is too, the shoot barbed wire gets all untangled from the board and the fake one is all pristine and plastic looking. my headcanon 100 percent was that Hunter was like "Im not fucking letting you hit me with barbed wire".

I remember going over my brother’s friend’s house for most of the WWF PPVs at this point because we couldn’t buy it on a consistent basis so we went to said friend’s house, paid $5 and had a good time. In fact, my brother and I knew it was Taz before they did because we were watching ECW on local tv (it would come on Fridays at like 1 or sometimes 2am). Man, such good memories.

In terms of match card, this is probably one of the all-time greatest Royal Rumble events! Start off hot with the Tazz debut, one of the greatest and craziest tables matches ever! (D-Von in half a second avoiding Jeff Hardy's dive is an all-timer moment) an insane bikini contest two short but hard-hitting title matches, the most infamous world title match to ever happen on the Royal Rumble PPV and while the 2000 Rumble match definitely fell flat because of the lack of star power, you still get a few all timer moments out of it and it ended on a high note with the Rock winning so, while I get the hate the match gets, with what they had it wasn't a bad way to wrap up a good show.
