We had to do it. We had to read the book. We had to access this pure stream of Britainology from the source. And in truth it was a strange experience—not altogether horrible but also at times deeply, deeply stupid. We hope you enjoy this recounting of the time Milo and Nate both read Prince Harry's memoir.

At work in my tedious email job the appearance of this has lifted my spirits immensely

Love how Milo’s education comes out as specific Greek mythology jokes/references that no one bites on

I was hoping for the Hooligans of Buckingham

Harry really has a strong Jaden Smith energy throughout this book

Nate's British house is so old, there are the bodies of two little princes in the air cavity wall.

re: war comments from hazza, if you watch the colbert interview as well, he is clearly marketing himself for the american “we love the veterans and baddies must be killed like chess pieces” public

I don’t want to get too defensive of slurs but on the p-slur thing one of my good friends went to Repton and just based on how sheltered and innocent she is I could absolutely see someone in that environment not really understanding that it’s a slur

Almost 42 minutes in when Milo is talking about the Queen Mother and says, “her and Prince Margaret”…

I wonder if Harry didn't use the term 'machine gun' because he knew this would be consumed by a mostly lay audience? I guess when you're the prince of a country without a lot of guns around, assuming most people think your carbine is a machine gun because it has a fire selector is probably about par for the course. I dunno, maybe I'm giving undue credit...

Totally unrelated to the episode, based solely on having just turned on the TV and being reminded that this show exists, but can I strongly request that you do a Britainology on Naked Attraction? It’s got that powerfully British energy of ‘ostensibly about sex, yet somehow powerfully unerotic’ that I find strangely compelling.

Do they not do home inspections on purchase in Britain?

59:00 so you're telling me the UK's supposedly awful libel laws aren't actually worth shit if you need them? amazing

Okay, hearing Prince Harry talk about Family Guy has given me a head injury.

The image of some random British soldiers going "oh, you want to be one of the guys? Here, you can carry this heavy ass piece of shit then" and handing him the SAW is pretty great.

This book hardened me on the Royal family as an institution and softened me on members as individuals. If the Royal family didn't exist as an institution then this kinda dopey guy would have been able to just live a normal life and actually do what he was good at and made him happy
