These are the drawings for the canyon village I'm working on. Gonna get started on coloring this today. Let me know what you think so far!

Looks really good! I already have an idea or two!

So it can only be accessed by travelling down the river, through that tunnel on the far side (or potentially by enthusiastic use of ropes or the Climb skill)?

(It wasn't a gripe, by the way, just a query! On looking more closely, though, I've just spotted the staircase next to the warehouse/storehouse in the middle.)

Maps like this, I would also love to see the "approach" of upriver a bit more. It's really fun to players to log on into a map and not know what is around the next bend.

This is awesome! I can't wait for you to finish. While I have no mountains in my world, there is deep valleys between the hills I can stick this village in.

I'd probably do stuff like that more if it weren't for the fact that I'm already making maps that are around 4-5x the size of everyone else's maps. Since file size affects load time so much on VTTs, I try not to add in too much outlying terrain unless the map isn't that big to begin with. I'm really looking forward to the time when VTTs get more efficient or everyone has fiber so that's no longer a problem.
