[Background Blog] Website Overhaul Project (Patreon)
Content
Hey Patrons, Compymono here. It’s been a while since I’ve done a standalone background blog so here’s a deep dive into one of the projects I’ve been working on lately.
Over the last month or two I’ve been getting the Pawprint Press and Studio Klondike web presence up to snuff.
This all originated from being tasked to work on page designs for account.pawprint.press— the new news, rewards, and ticketing system for Pawprint Press.
Alas, I am a sucker for going down design rabbit holes and ended up being inspired to tackle a long list of other web tasks I had left on the backburner, for well… years at this point!
Not all of these have been announced publicly, but here’s a rough rundown on the sites I’ve worked on the past month:
Nekojishi.com
LinAndPartnersLLP.com
pawprint.press
klondike.studio
BeekGame.com
Astatos.com
account.pawprint.press
Resurrected Sites
The easier—but long overdue—tasks, both the original Nekojishi and Lin & Partners teaser sites needed to be brought back online.
The Nekojishi site was a quick task, I migrated the site from using HTTP to HTTPS— which was preventing it from being displayed to users.
I also updated some dead links, old emails, and formatting issues on a few pages.
You can view the live site from either: https://nekojishi.com/ or https://nekojishi.games/
Next up was the Lin & Partners teaser site we originally launched in late 2019. The website was hosted through a service which has since gone defunct and transferred to a new company, breaking the website.
Luckily we had a copy of the full source code available, including the ARG mini game. For this, I re-hosted the site on our current service and updated the leaderboard code too. (I was also able to fetch the old top 10 data so it should appear the same as before)

Updated Sites
Both pawprint.press and klondike.studio were made with Wix— a while ago we dropped pawprint.press since the renewal fee was relatively expensive, and I stopped working on klondike.studio since it was really cumbersome to update via Wix.
pawprint.press — For over a year now this site was on a placeholder landing page with the comic archive no longer accessible.
The new design closely follows the design language of store.pawprint.press, taking the colours, fonts, button designs, and general layout.
I also built a new comic reader, with heaps of solid improvements over the one from the previous Wix site.
Language selection dropdown
Left-to-right + Right-to-left reading directions
Improved UI and page navigation
Currently the new Pawprint Press comic archive site is live, with Nekojishi: The Divine Battles, and Astatos: Flippant Academy readable.
Other series from the old site will be added if we still have active licenses for them. (K-9 In the Werewolf Squad, The Spicy Ninja Scrolls, etc.)

klondike.studio — For consistency across our websites, the general layout was copied from pawprint.press with updated theme colours and fonts.
A new games section includes basic information pages for each of our titles, with relevant links and screenshots.
You can view the live site from: https://www.klondike.studio/
And don’t forget some fun 404 pages for both sites!
BeekGame.com — While still functional with some broken formatting, and contents that hadn’t been updated for the remastered version of the game.
In this design pass I updated the mini game graphics, added in new sound effects, added new links, and included the key artwork and trailer from the Remastered release.

New Sites
astatos.com — Since 2019 we’ve owned this domain never built anything on it! With Chapter II out the way and a few players interested in proper character bios, it was a good time to put this one together.
For this site, I wanted to replicate some of the UI feel and animation style from the game itself. Including fonts, layouts, hover animations, sound effects, and dynamic music.
The Hero database section has new character bios and the artwork for every Hero Card and character in the story. (It’s also the first time we’ve been able to show the feet of every character too, as they’re cut-off within the game itself)
Use the side buttons to change your alignment between Makari-Hari’s side and Mukaki’s Side, swapping the site theme and card artwork.
The media page features trailers, soundtrack videos, and screenshots released for the game.
The news page features a copy of their-game news pulled from the game server.

account.pawprint.press — The new account and customer service dashboard for the Pawprint Press store! The base functionality was already developed out by another team member from Pawprint Press, but I went in and updated the UI design.
I also specifically migrated the Pawprint Powerplay rewards program to our own backend; overhauling the referral program and general design layout in the process.
Since it was a little tricky to migrate the apple and google wallet cards, I added a function to let you download and share your membership card, featuring any of the artworks you’ve unlocked so far~

And that’s the last site I had to update! It was quite a lot of work (and long nights) but I managed to get it all done while working on my other work. I’ve seen people be pretty happy about the new Astatos website, along with having the old Nekojishi and Lin & Partners websites brought back— so the huge effort was worth it!
