Thank you for your patience with this one. 'Twas a beast of an edit, but we got there :) I've also had to switch video hosting from Vimeo to Youtube. So please let me know if you have any issues viewing. Vimeo told me I was exceeding my bandwidth allocation - too many people watching haha! Good issues to have!

Also, give Richard’s album some love. It's great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii7CktJ57s4

You’re an absolute legend mate, love this series! Stay Blessed Ed 👊🏽

Freddie Wootton

Looking forward to this with a cuppa, loving the adventure so far Ed 👌

Freddie Wootton

I love the around the world stuff, but I think It’s also lovely to have an adventure so great close to home

Eiffa Pearson

I had an issue with not being able to watch in full screen that I didn’t have with the older videos. Otherwise another amazing video

Phil Dennis

The way you adopt such a minimalist approach with food, buying from charity shops, and using simple equipment is inspirational. Thank you for another great video.

Jack Hocking

Out of curiousity, what time of year was this filmed? Thoroughly enjoying this series!

jon hawkins

Love the video, And fair play to you for just jumping in a kayak and doing it! If you're gonna do another kayak adventure or any paddlesport adventure, I'd Suggest doing a course with Canoe England, just the personal competancy one. All it does is give you confidence and some more awareness of kit and rescues you might need to do while you're out in a watercraft. Love the videos and can't wait to see this daventure as it comes out

You can try opening it in YouTube, it's an unlisted video that you should be able to click through to watch there.

Taylor Bunker

Switching to YouTube is better in my opinion. Casting Vimeo to the TV was always a nightmare.

DL1JPH

Vimeo has been nothing but trouble with unreliable streams and various issues getting things to play at all... So this is good news. Right, on with the video.

Tj

Only thing I’ve had issues with is it wont let me watch full screen for some reason. So addicted to this little series haha

Nicholas & Heather

I would say a lock is a part of the river. If you absolutely had to get out and back … it’s different from skipping a part of river

Clicking on the word ‘YouTube’ in the lower right corner took me to the video on YouTube where I could watch it full screen.

BOB BISKET

I’ve become a YouTube member too now

Andrew Brann

A point on your error. Where the locks were built are likely historically within the natural floodplain of the river and are therefore sort of the same thing as walking on the dry ground at the beginning of the river. Hydrologically, the river is likely still flowing in the ground beneath where you are standing in both cases.

Dean Barnes

Amazing, I’m local to the Oxfordshire area you passed through in this video was nice seeing some familiar sights! You are smashing this series a major broadcaster needs to pick this up asap!

Eliska Smiga

Great video, as always. In it, Richard mentioned at 9:50 an album he had done and I must say, I just finished it and it's some really great music!

Will Harrison

Loving the videos mate. Keep up the hard work with the editing!

kyle jones

With regard to the drone, I love the fact it does not follow you and you instead show the outstretched backdrop of the English country side! It’s what makes your videos feel so nostalgic!

Warren Snaider

Another brilliant presentation. I had wondered about the aerial shots so the explanation was wonderful. The best parts about this video for me were the camaraderie of people on the river and the number people who were following you on social media. I gave a few bucks to the River Trust last year so I suppose, since you have twisted my arm so aggressively, I should give a few more bucks this year. It's not tax-deductible for those of us in the USA but still a worthwhile organization. Stay well.

Yeah, oddly the first drone I ever used, the very entry level DJI Spark, did have a follow feature, but it just plonked the subject in the middle so the shot looked awful. It also moved around erratically. I prefer the way I fly it manually because you can control the frame, however it was much easier on the unicycle where I going use my hands - will have to try operating with my toes haha

Nothing but trouble for me too. Cheeky of them to be saying they’ll cut of their service for me now that my bandwidth is ‘too’ high, when I’ve been paying them for years to host video

For all their faults, YT do seem to have a good handle on their infrastructure, which is nice. I even got to watch the video without half a dozen interruptions... Which rather helped, especially since you did a great job editing. You captured the serenity and slow pace of paddling along a river perfectly, yet the video never felt boring at all.

Thiemo Fischer

you absolutely compensated from being outside the river by falling in the river. the scales balanced out immediately

Sara Tomko

Such a fantastic video, love your editing style. Great work, Ed!

James Lombardo

If only you could find some vibram barefoot toe shoes at the shops. Think they’d work with your wetsuit booties too. Keep up the great storytelling and adventures. Thanks!

Warren Snaider

I've started watching "The Marlow Murder Club" and it's set on the Thames. You've already gone by it and I hope you'll be able to tell us about the murders as you paddle along. Kidding. But I will look forward to seeing your view of Marlow as you pass through it.

Christoffel Janssens

Hi Ed, great series. I enjoy watching you and dreaming about being out there myself. About those wheels on the kayak, I’m wondering if you can’t just turn the kayak over and attach them where you want? And then turn the kayak back on it’s wheels? I’m no expert. I’ve got no experience with kayak’s but that seems easier then lifting the kayak and putting these wheels under… looking forward to your adventures. Greetings!

Ted Neath

I've started watching your videos with my hubby and 9 year old. It's something we can all enjoy together. Makes us want to get out on our own adventures soon.

Ted Neath

Ps my son wanted to see his name on a future episode, hence the profile name. I could have been a man with a hubby of course 😁

Adam Gray

Another great video Ed !

Jo Mannisto

My favourite part of these videos is seeing the kindness of others along the journey

Simon Rowswell

Absolute brilliant Ed you have experienced a journey that most won't 👏 your a amazing young man

Mms

Great video Ed. Really enjoying the series. Subscribed today because I couldn’t wait for episode 4. Just a thought after watching you struggle with the wheels for the kayak: could you turn the kayak upside down and secure the wheels with it flat on the ground and then flip it back once the wheels are on?
