I'll be honest, this update has been started in fits and starts. I've been dealing with a lot of RL bullshit, which has hindered progress. The weather has also been absolutely roasting over the last week or two, which has made working hard. My office has hit over 30C numerous times, which is too hot to be rendering in as that kicks out a load of heat. If you know what UK homes are like, you know how grim 30C can be to deal with. My thermometer claims it peaked at 31.4.

So yeah, I've not got as much progress as I'd have liked, but I have managed to get a decent amount. The first beta is almost ready, which is good, as I was aiming to get that out possibly this week, but maybe next week at this rate.

I also have a couple of polls coming up soon. One for July's 4K wallpaper, as well as the one to decide who will get bonus content in V0.6, so keep your eyes out for that.

I'll also be putting out the first set of preview images soon as well! So, lots of things to look forward to for supporters coming up!

The temperature is currently sneaking up in here again as I write this, so I'm going to try and get a couple of renders done before it gets too hot again...

I feel ya, I'm in the mid-west and we see mid 80's F. 30c everyday.

I personally have NO idea what UK homes are like, but I infer from your note that they are not air conditioned. Now most Americans will offer sympathy and tell you about our beastly heat (here in Albuquerque it is forecast to break 32° C for the next week at least) but like almost all American homes mine is air conditioned, so it is only hot if I go outside. I am sorry to hear that you are suffering, and I will remember to grateful for your effort when I get my next installment.

UK homes are designed to trap heat in. They're brick made and insulated, meaning that the brick heats up and retains heat. They're just big boxes of heat after a couple of days and then take a few days to cool down again once the weather cools off.

I live in a brick building that is really old and I can attest to how they cool. Thankfully we have ac when the unit doesn't fail or power doesn't go out. Do what you can, when can and try to stay cool.

Ya I’m down in Florida. It’s in the 90’s here and the humidity is awful. We had an index of 104 a few days ago. Thank god for good ac though 😅

I really understand. The UK never had to deal with these kind of temperatures in the past. It was always cool or cold and rarely ever hot. No one built a building to stay cool. Of course rendering is like turning on an electric heater on top of the already high temperature. Near where I am the inland temperature can often reach 40°C in the summer (or higher). The high inland temperature fortunately has the effect of pulling in cooling fog near me, and my house stays around 21° to 21.5° all summer. If I leave my local area, it is a whole different story.
