I swear, every time there is a family gathering or celebration the verbal smackdowns are epic. At this point, I find quite interesting, the Empress loves and stand up for Shaoshan, really the only person who cares without reservations, secrets or hidden agendas. Her mother is starting to notice the Empress is replacing her. She was not allowed to stay when the conversations were going on. Shaoshan is now part of a different world.

This is big, having the emperor in your own residence. Yeah, he truly value Buyi as an adopted son. Emperor doesn’t really leave the palace for safety issue unless for important purposes. Having him here with his empress and his consort, the Cheng family just got even bigger in status.

Wow, this episode was something indeed! It was good to see Madam Chunyu (Buyi's "stepmother") placed under house arrest, if I can call it that, and the Old Princess Consort Ruyang divorced and sent away to recuperate in Sancai Temple. I hope they can marry peacefully now and that those annoying ladies won't bother them anymore. I agree, this was one of the best episodes! P.S. Oh, how I missed this drama! I am slowly catching up now that my uni finals have ended. So much content has been added over the last month. 🤗

Absolutely loved this episode! Always have to love when the bad guys get put in their place lol. I am glad you are finally able to catch up a bit!
