I think that General Wang might not like Ling because of that letter from the Crown Prince. Not sure if that's a sort of envy for Ling being chosen by royalty, or maybe he thinks he's there just because of some curried favour instead of actual skills. But either way, I didn't like the look on his face in the end. Totally agree about Madam Yu — she has so many layers, and considering her husband is somewhere in the imperial court, I guess she might be one of the main villains of the story. And I am happy they found a way to keep Tingyun and Ling together, but I didn't expect it to be a marriage proposal from her! However, I did notice he wants it to be more about feelings rather than just mutual benefits. In my opinion, that's why he was so pensive about it all.
