The Story So Far...

Use the civilans and Scribe to distract the likely converted Serenity Style and Painter while you and Serenity Melody go after Songstress

"Okay," you say as the two of you find a private spot to talk and plan. "We need to hit the Desire with everything we've got. Otherwise..."

"Otherwise we go in another team's score book, huh?" You can tell Melody is smiling, even with the mask. She has smiley eyes.

And she's right. If you run now, not only will you be disgracing your duty as Serenities, but you'll also be making it clear that you need another team to come in and save you. There's no official score card between Serenity teams, as far as you know - but you also know exactly how many times you've saved other teams, and how much each one of them owes you. And you definitely like that number being higher than the amount of times they've saved you in turn.

"Nah," you shake your head. "It's not about that. We got this. We're the Arts, we can handle an Art Desire."

Melody finds a seat and kicks her legs. "Yeah. We can at least weaken her." You give her an annoyed look, and she shrugs. "I mean, as long as it's not the Daylights, I don't mind…"

You snort. "Okay, fine, yeah, if we screw up - and we're not gunna screw up - then I hope it's not the Daylights who get sent in after us."

"Oh?" Now she's grinning. "I figured you'd prefer them over the Seasons."

The Seasons? Ha! "If the Foundation is dumb enough to send those rookies, we'll just corrupt them ourselves. I still owe Summer..."

"There's the D I know."

You roll your eyes. "Aaaanyway, here's the plan." This is usually Style's job, and might be why you're struggling right now, but it's fine! You can do this. You're a planner. Come on, dance routines are all about planning. You've got the credentials! "First, we send Scribe with the others as a distraction..."

Melody looks at you funny. "You mean we're the distraction, right?"

"… Why, what'd I say?" You blink, honestly confused. "Anyway, we won't be a distraction 'cus we're gunna win."

"Yep, still the D I know," she sighs. "So they go out one way, we go out the other?"

You nod. "Right. They'll be heading towards the exit. Scribe can still get them there, and it's not like they can stay in here either way."

"Yeah. If we win, then it's all fine. If we don't, then there's not enough food and water in here to last the day." She's in sync with you. "So all or nothing, huh?"

"Always." You're not really a half-ass it kinda girl. "If we can seal the Desire, then we win, right?"

"That's the general idea." Melody folds her arms, thinking. "Okay. From what Scribe told me, the Desire herself seems pretty distant. She didn't engage you guys in person at all, it was all security cameras and taunts from her stage. If we can actually get to her, she might not be any good in an actual fight."

"Well that's where I come in!" You jab a thumb towards yourself. Hey, you're absolutely the best front line fighter in the team, and you know it. Only Painter and Style can really keep up.

So if you're going to have to fight your way through those two, there won't be a better time to prove you're the best! Ha, you're feeling pretty good about this all of a sudden. And even if they're off chasing the civvies, that'll just give you a free shot at the Desire. If you can reach her, you can win, you're sure of it!

"But you're compromised." And Mel brings you straight back down. Tch. "Do we really want you to fight the Desire?"

"What, so you think you can?" You give her an annoyed glare. "You're just as backline as the Desire!"

"Hey, Song for Song, I can beat her!" Melody looks just as eager to prove her dominance in her field as you are. "This is battle of the bands time!"

Tch. Well, one of you will definitely get her shot, at least. It all depends on what you see out there once you break out of the Seal.

So, speaking of - Pst! Hey, SongsTress voters! Now that Dancer has blabbed her side's plans to you in the audience, what kind of Ambush has the Desire prepared outside? Once again, it's up to you!

(Now's your chance to determine the flow of the final fight! Will you give advantage to SongsTress, and have her perfectly predict it all, or will you give our girls in white a fighting chance! The choice is yous! Comment below with suggestions of what you'd like to see happen next, and I'll put it to the Vote on Wednesday! Bear in mind that Patreon Votes have a 140 character limit, so try to keep your suggestions below that.)

Advantage SongsTress. Split the two groups up when they exit the seal… Then finish Scribe and the civilians. Get a nice power boost before finishing off the Artists.

Advantage Songstress! Have your speakers set up right outside the seal and blast those pesky Serenities full force when they step outside.
