Hey folks!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes over the week - I had a great time! And that big project is coming along nicely! Now maybe if it'd just cool down a bit outside...

Oh well. This week, enjoy the tale of a hacker who gets in a bit too deep at the new local casino! That can really only end one of two ways around here, right?

“I’m in.” April grinned, her fingers taking a quick break from flying over her keyboard to flick back her black (with a blue streak!) hair out of her face. She’d always wanted to say that.

There was no one around to hear her say it, of course. That’d be stupid. She was hacking into a casino, that was breaking, like, a ton of different laws, and much more importantly, it was going to piss off the kind of people who owned casinos! She didn’t need witnesses who might blab about any of this stuff. This? This was a solo op.

And it could pay off big time, in addition to, y’know, maaaybe saving her girlfriend from whatever was going on with her.

Cuz, like, Jackie had been acting strangely for weeks now. Calling off dates, not answering her phone, disappearing for entire days without a word… Stuff that was just completely unlike her.

At first, April had suspected… Well, y’know, that she was cheating on her. Obviously. Who wouldn’t think that? But investigating her phone, and then her computer, and just kind of snooping in on her life in general, revealed no sign of a third woman. Or a man, for that matter. Jackie was acting completely normally, aside from all the, you know, the disappearances. And the work ethic, she’d suddenly gotten really fired up about getting her work done.

Yeah, the redhead had gotten a new job recently working at the casino that had just opened up in town. The Bunny Hop Casino. True to that name, it had a lot of women strutting around its tables dressed as bunny girls, offering drinks and more to big spenders. Jackie had been embarrassed to even be associated with the place, but she was just an accountant, not a front of house girl, so she said she just tried to ignore that aspect of the business. Which, of course she did. Jackie was a pretty shy girl.

So then why had April found all of these pictures of her strutting around out front in the casino proper, dressed in the sluttiest blue bunny costume that the hacker had ever seen? They hadn’t even been hidden – there were promos of her up on the casino’s website, and she was on a bunch of their fliers!

Asking Jackie about those things had been informative, but in the weirdest kind of way. The redhead had just stared through the paper as if she couldn’t see what was on it. She’d looked all cute and confused… And then thirty seconds later she’d forgotten April had even asked about them.

That happened five times before the hacker got the memo. Something weird was clearly going on at the Bunny Hop. And since it was screwing with her time with her girlfriend, April was going to find out what. Plus maybe help herself to some of their money, since she was going poking about in their security anyway. It was just efficient, you know?

If she was being honest with herself – and April wasn’t a particularly honest person, so that was unlikely to actually happen – she would have admitted she’d been waiting for something like this. For a reason to actually use the skills she’d been cultivating in cyberspace. For a proper target to present itself. She wasn’t completely amoral – she didn’t want to just steal from someone. But if they messed with her or her loved ones?

Well at that point she finally had an excuse to be her worst self.

Computers had always been a fascination to April. Coding, programming, the way her mind clicked when she worked out how to make a machine do exactly what she wanted… It had always been a thrill, but it had grown downright addictive when she started getting other people’s machines to do what she wanted too. Slipping through firewalls, picking through ports, dancing around security systems… It was like she was a fish finally finding water for the first time. She was a natural.

And she’d wanted more.

Family members had long stopped asking what she was doing with all the hardware she asked for at Christmas and birthday parties. In the old days she would happily tell them, and for most people, her explanations had been far too long and detailed to ever make that same mistake twice. Cowards.

Of course, she wouldn’t be telling anyone what she used her machine for these days. They’d have different problems with her if she did. Luckily, she didn’t need them anymore. Her rig was already built, and running like a dream. She’d tested it on a few smaller scale systems before, but tonight it was really going to prove its worth. Tonight, it was going to help her find out exactly what the Bunny Hop was hiding.

So April had cracked open an energy drink (blue, her favourite) and chugged half of the can (she hadn’t had any heart palpitations today, so clearly she needed more caffeine). Then she’d gotten to work. Now, two hours later, the system was open to her, all the casino’s secrets ready to be stolen.

Y’know, now that she was doing it, it actually was kinda a shame that she didn’t have anyone to brag to with her here. She’d have to tell Jackie all about it later. You know, once she’d sorted out whatever mess the girl was in. Make it sound really cool. Really let her know how in she’d been when she said she was in.

But, right, that’d be later. For now… What did she have here? Security cameras, floorplans, Id database, face recognition software… Ho ho, they had quite a suite of security options here, didn’t they? How fun. Of course, now they all belonged to her! As long as she didn’t do anything that’d alert the network that someone had gotten inside their system, anyway. Then things might get a bit tricky.

For the moment, then, it’d be best to play things safe, and only access parts of the system that wouldn’t raise any eyebrows. No deep diving just yet.

With a flick of her keys, she pulled up copies of the floor plans, pasting them up over her second and third monitors. Now she could see what she was dealing with. The place had three floors. A ground floor, for the casino, the bar, the kitchens, all the things you’d expect from this kind of business. Then above that, the top floor, where you had management’s offices, as well as the VIP suites, hotel rooms, and general fancy accommodation stuff. The place where they kept all the whales. Then, below it all…

April tilted her head, whistling. The basement was much bigger than she’d expected. Half of it was dedicated to a single area, labelled ‘The Vault’, which, y’know, duh. Of course they had one of those. The other half, though, that surprised her. It was a series of rooms simply labelled ‘The Labs’, which seemed much more out of place for a casino. What were they doing down there, sciencing up better ways of cheating at cards?

Wait, why was she asking? She could just take a look! Pull up the camera feed, and…

Huh.

On screen, the hacker watched, curious but confused, as a dozen women, all wearing lab coats over their bunny girl outfits, stood around studying various technological looking experiments, making recordings on clipboards or Dictaphones as sparks splashed and robotic arms moved. Between them, walking down the aisles, occasionally stopping to observe, were stern looking women in black bunny suits and sunglasses. Security of some kind, by the looks of things.

April raised an eyebrow. Well, that answered a couple of questions, but mostly just added a whole heap of new ones. The hell kind of operation was this place?

The security cameras weren’t going to tell her that, unfortunately. No, if she wanted answers, she was going to have to go digging in this system’s files, and she wasn’t quite ready for that. First, she needed to check out the rest of the building.

There weren’t any other surprises, though. A sweep through the vault told her that, yeah, plenty of money in there, god they were loaded. Hopefully they had just as much money available digitally, or stealing from them was gunna be tricky. Way easier to move funds online than it was to actually break into the building and do so physically…

The top floors were just as she expected too. The hotel area was full of rich looking guests and bunny girls supplying them with champaign and, well, other services. Hm, if she could get a decent recording of this stuff, she could make a small fortune off blackmail. Or porn sites. Something to think about.

The Management area was less fun. There weren’t as many normal bunny girls, and there were more security bunny girls patrolling around. A couple of buns in gold suits were monitoring the casino operations, and one woman – a normal woman, in a white business suit, not a bunny suit, and wearing shades of her own – was sat watching them all.

Man, the Bunny Hop really was all about the Buns, huh?

Down on the main floor, business was booming. Gamblers were sitting at every machine, gathered around every table, gleefully spending every chip, and around them the bunny girls flowed through it all like the champaign they were serving. Even from this camera-eyed view, April could see how they were operating, snuggling up to the big spenders, urging them to spend even bigger, distracting them with fluttering lashes and soft soft skin…

Oh hey, there was Jackie! Oh wow, she looked super cute in that blue bunny outfit, just strutting around, shaking that tail and looking for a mark. Actually, scratch that, cute wasn’t a good enough word. Holy crap, where had the girl been hiding those boobs? And that little white puff of a tail really made her ass stand out, wow. Honestly, suddenly she felt like she was scoring way out of her league…

The hacker only managed to pull herself away from the view when her girlfriend actually found a mark, and the sight of her wrapping herself around some rich guy’s arm. That was more than enough of that, thank you. Bleugh.

Maybe she should hurry up and start getting serious on this system. She didn’t want that little flirtation going any further. Jackie was her girl, thank you, and no weird bunny girl casino was going to change that. And if that dude tried anything, his bank account was going to be drier than the sands of mars before the day’s end.

So! Now that she knew the casino’s layout, and had uncovered a few of their oddities, it was time to get down to business. It was obvious this place was up to some serious shenanigans, and she was going to figure them out. Looking through the lab’s files seemed like the place to start. Surely, whatever they were up to was rooted in there.

Of course switching from security to the lab system was easier said than done. That was a whole new hack, one that she had to work quite a few tricks to pull off, navigating new firewalls and finding ways in to a network that was mostly isolated from the rest. Though, he had to admit, even though it was difficult, doing this was still easier than she’d expected. The security was nowhere near the level that these guys could afford – not once you were past the outer layers of the casino in general, anyway. Weird.

But not worth dwelling on. Instead, April started scrolling through the files she had access to. Let’s see, slot machine result algorithms? Funny, but useless to her… Robotics development, interesting, but not what she was looking for… Bunny girl command signal, the heck was that supposed to be…

Wait. What was that supposed to be?

Blinking, the hacker scrolled back up and pulled open that folder. Inside, she found a few design documents for a range of bunny girl ear headbands – one for every colour of the rainbow, how charming. Interesting, though. The bunny ears themselves were mostly normal, save that each one contained a receiver hidden in the actual ear part. The real tech, though, was hidden in the headband itself. A strange mix of circuits and materials that April didn’t recognise at all.

What she did recognise was the file right next to all of that – a program that was running in the background on all of the casino’s machines. Opening it up, the hacker found an odd looking interface, a basic looking silver UI that divided her screen up into boxes. On one side, she could see a bunch of readouts of thing like ‘signal strength’ and ‘control frequency’ - stuff she didn’t quite understand, but could get the gist of. And on the other side…

[You are a bunny girl]

[You are loyal only to the Bunny Hop]

[You will remember nothing from your job while off duty]

[Flirt with the guests]

[Flirt harder with the big spenders]

[If someone wins big, give them anything they want to keep them gambling for more]

… A list of commands. Hm.

April’s eyes flicked between her monitors. The command program. The design document for the bunny ears. A camera feed still showing off some of the bunnies at work.

Curiously, she entered a new command.

[If you’re wearing a blue bunny suit, hop once]

Her eyes zipped back to the camera screen. As Jackie was leaning over to give her rich client a look down her top, she suddenly hopped in place – as did a smattering of other blue buns around the casino. Interesting! April quickly deleted the new command.

Huh. Huh. So it was definitely the bunny ears then. And it was shockingly easy to play with them.

Oh, that was really, really interesting…

The hacker leaned back in her chair, downing the other half of her energy drink, before pursing her lips. Something didn’t feel right here. This was, like, mind control tech. State of the art super tech. This was supervillain crap, even if it was being used to run a casino in the middle of nowhere (casinos were pretty evil, at least). What they were using it for was fine, she could understand ‘cute girls and money’ easily enough, but… Shouldn’t they have better security than this? Surely they must have, right?

Something was wrong, and April’s sense of paranoia had never led her too badly astray. Well, it hadn’t gotten her too badly injured. Well, it hadn’t gotten her killed. Basically the same thing.

So she fell back a little, and tried to work out why this was all so easy. It shouldn’t have been, and that was clearly a problem. She couldn’t be the only person who’d thought of hacking a casino.

And she was right. Something was wrong. It wasn’t as undefended as it appeared. That was true despite the fact that she found the answers she was looking for in a folder labelled ‘CyberSecurityDeets’, which… well that just felt unprofessional.

But here they were. The security measures that should have kept her out – and oh god, that adorable. Apparently, every screen in the casino was also broadcasting low level subliminals to make the guests more willing to spend, and to make the bunnies more compliant with their orders. Yeah, everything on their systems was doing it. Everything.

And since her system was connected to theirs…

Yep. A quick check of her rig confirmed it. That was exactly what the system had tried. As soon as she’d logged into their network, a sneaky little virus had slipped back into her computer, and started flashing secret messages to her to- uh, hold on…

She grumbled, isolating the code and then pulling it apart, dissecting it with quick and brutal efficiency. Looked like the important stuff it was trying to get into her head was

[REPORT TO THE CASINO]

And

[YOU ARE A LOYAL BUNNY GIRL]

Which was… adorable! Wow, that explained everything. No wonder she’d gotten in so easily They figured that anyone who hacked their system would just get brainwashed by their subliminals and come report in for a bunnying.

Ha. Losers.

It totally should have worked, incidentally. But April hadn’t updated her graphics drivers in, like, five years. Their sneaky subliminal code had gotten onto her system and immediately crashed.

This was why you always turned off automatic updates immediately. For this specific, exact reason.

Anyway, yeah, no, that bunny girl thing? That wasn’t going to be happening. Not to her, even if she thought she’d look great in one of those uniforms… Or, well, she would if she lost a bit of weight, maybe. Hacking was a fairly sedentary exercise, and she’d gained a few pounds lately, Jackie kept nudging her about it…

… Oh ew, these jerks would have made her exercise and burn off the fat in order to look good for their customers, wouldn’t they? Absolute bastards, she’d make them pay for that!

The need for revenge over an incredibly imagined sleight instead of the very real abuses these people had committed against people that April supposedly cared about took over. No, in her (slightly overstimulated) head, they’d committed the ultimate sin. They had tried to make her skinny and attractive. It hadn’t worked - but it did give her an idea.

If they were going to try to brainwash her into being a bun, why couldn’t she turn them into buns instead? Turnabout was fair play and all that, right? She’d heard someone say that. Sounded stupid to her, but she didn’t actually care about being fair anyway. She was just going to bun everyone who got in her way. If anyone had a problem with that, they had a bun-ening en route. All ethical problems solved.

So, now that the hacker felt a little more at ease, she slid back into the system she’d cracked into, and started looking for details on who was behind this stupid operation. It didn’t take her long to find what she was after.

Staff profiles. Wages, employment records, ID records… All of it was here, neatly organised. Why worry about someone who wasn’t supposed to be in here accessing them, right? The only ones looking were going to be buns, or soon-to-be-buns. Heh. Now, who was in charge here…?

Just one person, as it turned out. The other profiles were all of bunny girls in obvious bunny suits. It looked like pretty much everyone in the casino was rotated between every job, with their programming making sure they could perform it without issue. Maybe Jackie really had been hired as an accountant after all.

But there was one profile without even a trace of bun - Alessa Silver. The woman in white that April had spotted on the cameras. She was the big woman in charge around here, and clearly the only one with free will on staff.

Oh man, this was going to be easier than she thought.

Digging a little deeper, it became apparent that Alessa was just the face of this operation, the one in charge of this branch. Looking into the financials, it seemed that there was a pretty large organization behind everything. Lot of documents, lot of ties to some quite serious looking companies doing sinister things. Neat, neat. Some people might have hesitated to get involved, seeing the kind of hell they might be inviting upon themselves if they actually got these people’s attention.

April just cracked open another blue can.

So, Alessa Silver. She was a beautiful woman. Her hair was white, but judging by the rest of her face, and the information on her profile, not from age. Dyed or natural, hard to say. It was clearly cared for, though, done up in an expensive quiffy style at the front, long flowing locks pooling around her shoulders. The cameras couldn’t pick out her eyes underneath her shades, but her profile picture said they were ice blue. Fitting.

She’d clearly committed to her ice queen theme, dressing herself in a white business suit with an open enough collar that it showed off her chest very nicely. She was an attractive woman with an air of mystique. In a lot of ways, the only thing that separated her from the swarm of bunny girls serving her every whim was that she didn’t have a pair of bunny ears of her own.

April grinned. She could fix that, couldn’t she?

Yeah, she could be real sneaky about this. She could learn schedules, work out when the woman slept, find out when she was at her most vulnerable, and slowly wrap her up in a web of deception, steadily strip away all of her options until she was helpless and at the hacker’s mercy.

But that sounded difficult and annoying, so instead, she pulled out a phone and punched in a number from Alessa’s profile.

On screen, she saw the woman in white react as her own phone began to buzz.

“Silver.” The voice was cool and smooth. She sounded exactly like you’d expect from the image she put out. Oooh, delicious.

“Hey Alessa!” April kicked her feet up on her desk and leaned back in her chair. “How’s it going?”

She watched as the other woman’s eyes narrowed. “Who is this. How did you get this number?”

The hacker shook her head, her free hand typing away on her keyboard. “Nah, don’t worry about stuff like that, not important. I just wanted to listen in on this next part.”

White eyebrows narrowed towards each other on the screen. “Next-?”

April hit enter.

There was a gasp from the other end of the line as a black bunny suit wearing woman (with an impressive chest on her; the hacker had picked her for a reason – a bad reason, but still) shoved a spare pair of active bunny ears down on the silver haired woman’s head. The effect was immediate, and oh so very enjoyable to watch, as said woman’s body went stiff in her chair, phone still held tight against her ear.

“So I’ve been looking at the design schematics for these things,” April drawled, her smirk growing as she watched Alessa twitch in her seat. “Very interesting tech. I don’t entirely get all of it, but the documentation’s really clear – great job on that, whoever wrote this stuff. So I now that when you first put a bun device on someone’s head, they’re hit with an electrical pulse straight into the skull, designed to induce temporary paralysis. Kind of like a less painful version of a taster. Does that seem right?”

Another twitch, and what might have been a grunt from the other end of the phone line.

“Great! So after that, once the ears are nice and secured, comes…”

“Nnnhh…” She was interrupted by a groan. Raising an eyebrow, the hacker zoomed her video feed in, and got a nice view of Alessa’s face. The resolution was seriously impressive – what kind of cameras were they using in this place – and she could easily see the struggle the other woman was going through. It was written clearly in the twitch of her lips, the corner on her left trying to tug up into a smile, while the other was firmly set in a frown. It was told by the twitching of her eyelids, one side frantically spasming, showing off all of the energy the woman was using to try and resist, while the other had gone quite placid, setting at a calm half-lidded stare. There was even a note of it in the wiggle of her nose, almost bunny like in its shuddering, as it steadily started to slow.

“That’s right! The brainwashing~” April giggled down the phone. “Apparently it starts pretty light, then grows more intense as it gets used to your brain. Better fight harder than that, Alessa, or you’re going to be a mindless bun in no time!”

“Nnngh!”

“I hear you, I hear you. I’m sure you don’t want to end up like any of those other girls you’ve got wandering around your casino. So just fight harder than all of them did! Easy, right?” Oh god, this taunting thing was amazing. Was she, like, a sadist or something? She’d never really thought about it before, but she was thinking a ton about it now, and she had a bit of a sneaking suspicion! “Anyways, while you work on that, the next step of the bunnening should be…”

“Hah!” Another gasp spilled down the line. April could see why! She’d just zoomed her camera out in time to catch the sudden swelling of the white haired woman’s ass. It was a bit tricky to see, given that she was sitting down, but the way she suddenly rose up in her seat like three inches was impossible to ignore. And it certainly looked like she was doing to have trouble pulling herself out of that chair now…

Look, these design documents clearly specified that a proper bun needed proper buns! Who was going to argue? Not her! And, she suspected, not Alessa either. Not after this little show was done, anyway~

“There we go. Sitting comfortably? I bet you are now. I hope it’s helping – according to what I’ve read, your brain should be cooking along nicely now…”

Yeah, just watch that perfectly sculpted face. The smile was winning out nicely now, a small trickle of drool starting to make its way down Alessa’s chin. Her eyelids weren’t twitching either. There was still a bit of fight in her, judging by the occasional shudder running through her, but it wouldn’t be long before even that was gone. How lovely.

“That’s the spirit! So, if you’re still in there – kinda doubtful at this point, but hey, I like hearing myself talk – then you know what’s coming next is…”

Boing!

Right on cue, the silver haired woman’s business suit burst open, her blouse spitting buttons across the rooms as her breasts expanded out from beneath it. That wide collar simply hadn’t been enough to contain her gigantic new titties. After all, April had programmed the ears to give her the biggest set they could!

Yeah, she had no idea how they were making her body grow like that – apparently it was a temporary thing that could be turned off when the bun left the casino (but where was the fun in that) and everything else was pretty much Latin to her. But who cared about how? The important thing was boobs.

“That’s a good girl.” The hacker got a gooood long look at those lovely silver melons, before swivelling her view back up to the woman’s face. “How are you doing in there? Ready to give in yet?”

Ping!

The answer came with a chime from the bunny ears – and she watched as Alessa’s face lit up with blank cheer as all signs of fight vanished. “Absolutely Mistress! Just give this dumb bun her orders~”

No sign of that crystalline dignified voice now. This Alessa was all cheer and bounce – no smarts on display at all. She was done.

“Great. Then get yourself a new bunny suit, babe, and head over to the VIP suite. I’m gunna come over and inspect my new property.”

Alessa saluted, rising from her chair (after a bit of a struggle) before happily hopping on her way.  April grinned, and then, after a sudden brainwave, typed another command into her keyboard. Glancing at the camera feed, she couldn’t help but smirk as a certain blue bun abruptly abandoned her flirting with a disappointed whale to start marching to the VIP suite herself.

There. That was better. Now, just a few more finishing touches…

Her hands tapped over the keyboard, issuing new orders and commands through the bunny ear network. It wasn’t long before the entire casino was under her direct control, and every bun knew it. That was probably something of a flaw in a primarily mind control based business plan. She’d have to look into how to fix that before someone did what she’d just done to Alessa to her.

But that could wait until tomorrow. Tonight, she had a date with a pair of busty dumb buns in the finest suite in town.

Yeah. You know what? This was probably worth going outside for.

Just for a little bit, anyway.
