That kiss in the end… I was a fly on the wall when i watched it for the first time 😍 Some infos (no spoilers) about the story: So the show takes place in Sweden and the school in real life is a castle which can be rented for different occasions. It’s like an hour car ride away from the capital Stockholm. In the show it’s near a small town named Bjärstad. That’s where Simon and his sister Sara live their mom Linda. Simon and Sarah have a scholarship for the school. There’re in the same year, although Sarah (17) is a year older than Simon. In their previous school (named Marieberg) Sara was being bullied and therefore skipped school a lot so she had to repeat the school year when they attended Hillerska. They’ve both been quite high achievers back at their old school. Which is why Simon is so determined to get good grades.

Sara is a year older than Simon. She missed a year of school because of bullying. That's why they are both in the same class. They have had to be close because of all the family problems. The pain that is August will only increase. Both Sara and Simon are in Hillerska because of her problems at the Bjärstad school and since they are both very bright.

Edvin's made two movies since and during YR, "Avgrunden" (The Abyss) on Netflix and "A Part of You" also on Netflix. Very small part in Avgrunden (only at the very end.) Quite a good role in APOY.

In this show, cinematically (and otherwise), details are everything. Note, that the dialog in the horror film matches that action between Wille and Simon. And the plaque on the wall reminds Wille of his position and increases his panic attack. Details!

They actually don’t have a scholarship for Hillerska. Tuition (and lunch) in Sweden is free, the only thing the characters in the show pay for is the boarding, but since Simon and Sara doesn’t live at the school it’s completely free for them. In season 2 August does help Sara apply for a scholarship so she can live at Hillerska.

August, by praising Simon in the gym in front of everyone else is hoping that that would be a substitute for paying Simon what he owes him in monetary terms, or at least good enough to delay the payment until maybe August can get hold of the money. I think in reality, August has no intention whatsoever of paying Simon .... EVER!
