Ah, now THIS is what I've been waiting for! ☺

Michael

Oh, and a very Happy Birthday Adam. ☺

Dionne Lakey

Madison says in the show that she doesn't speak Swedish because she thinks she sounds stupid, after Felice suggests that she practices with her. She is an American student, probably with a Swedish parent studying in Sweden.

Dionne Lakey

Omar's first language is Spanish (he was born in Venezuela and him and his mum moved to Sweden when he was 6).

Loved this! ❤️ it really is lovely seeing Lisa and the crew, and how much the actors loved their characters ☺️ So Madison ( brunette/cute friend of Felice) was a rich New Yorker who went to Hillerska as a foreign student. I'm sure it was her idea to take the girls back to NYC after school got out. 😆 ( I didn't get why her character was speaking English the first time I watched either!) Omar immigrated to Sweden from Venezuela as a kid, so he knew Spanish, then Swedish, then English. I'm amazed at anyone speaking 3 languages as well as he does! I loved how Simon was supposed to essentially be a character that sounds like Nick Nelson ( can you imagine??) but they changed him totally after casting Omar. I cannot imagine Wilhelm wirh anyone else. I think my favorite thing about this doc is the reveal of long curly haired, hoop earrings Malte! Like August who?? Such a different person. Just makes me more impressed with him, his performance and the casting team! Love this show forevvvvver 🥹❤️❤️

Happiest of birthdays! So happy you enjoyed this and also caught up with the boys on social media. Their friendship is a wonderful thing to witness. (Also Duo smells amazing!)

jennifer

Happy Birthday Adam!

Dennis Verner

Loved it guys! You are so good at this, really enjoying being with you for this.

The Sarah E

yeah, the character madison is from new york i believe… hence why she suggests going to nyc to felice multiple times in the series

I know you've said that this is the end of your reactions to YR but I think you would enjoy the Deep Talk interviews that Omar/Edvin and Rojda/Lisa did in season one. Netflix Nordic on YouTube has a playlist of all the bts, bloopers, these Deep Talks and the cast interviews that are in English too. They're fun to watch in your own time.

Bridget K.

The two people hugging the cast as they finished their final scenes were the producers, as you suspected. I think most of your other questions have been answered in prior comments. I still cried watching this with you again even though I've seen it a handful of times now. To me it will always be special seeing how close E & O are in their real lives. I have no doubt that they will have each other for the long haul. E has been acting since he was just a toddler, and Omar started with the boyband when he was 12-13. They've helped each other through Young Royals like ying and yang - Edvin guiding Omar through his first acting role ever (it's so crazy to me that he hadn't even acted in a school play or something... he just gets a lead part in a Netflix series w/ no real acting experience. Insane. And then you have Edvin helping Omar adjust in the acting industry - helping him develop his character and acting skills, etc. But then Omar got to support Edvin with more exposure to fans and celebrity culture. It's just beautiful how they've done that for each other. Their chemistry and trust is so evident on and off-screen. It's so special and blows my mind how instant it was. I'm so glad we got to see those audition scenes!! Side note: Omar being trilingual is so impressive. I've watched a lot of the interviews over the course of the boy band era and through filming Young Royals. Sometimes Omar gets stuck or frustrated not knowing the word in the language he's speaking at that second, but when Edvin is there with him he helps him fill in the word if it's an English word. They just do it so seamlessly when needed. Finally, I'll always prefer watching the show in the native Swedish, but it's worth watching an episode in dubbed English, because Edvin and Omar acted the parts in English as well. Edvin wasn't able to do it for season 3 due to film schedule conflicts, but Omar did it across all 3 seasons and Edvin through the whole first and second season. Happy birthday!! I hope the rest of it was wonderful. Thank you for reacting to this incredible show; I'm so happy when it gets celebrated and shared with new audiences. (It's my first time commenting in the community - new member - so I'm sorry the comment was so lengthy. :)

I’m not crying. I’m not crying. I’m fine. What a beautiful way to wrap up such an incredible show. I really connect with that one comment; being a little older, I got to live out a young/high school romance with a boy that I just didn’t get to do in my own life during that time. I truly hope this is just the start of more queer shows and portrayals like this (and heartstopper) that normalize queer lives, queer love, and queer people in the world. 🫶

I saw an interview with Edvin, Omar, and Lisa and Lisa said at one point filming by the lake, Omar completely lost it and she had the documentarians stop filming him. So when he was all red and puffy, he had just had a really bad meltdown, bless his heart. Notice they gave Omar the purple hoodie as a wrap gift and they gave Frida Sara's stuffed horse. I love those sweet touches. I love how invested that whole cast was in the story. Every person playing even a more minor character wanted that happy ending for Wille and Simon. They were all so thoughtful about bringing this beautiful story to life. I'm glad you two enjoyed it so much. Young Royals Forever.

Happiest of birthdays Adam! I loved watching this with you guys, your reactions are always so fun!!!

You guys do not understand how excited I am about this 😭🤩 HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM 🥳🥳🥳

Happy Birthday Adam 🥳 I feel like it’s my birthday, too! Thanks for giving me an excuse to watch this documentary again 🤩

Happy birthday Adam🌷🎂🎉

Bradley and Adam. Sounds like you need an excursion to Kaggeholm Slott. They have guided YR tours, Young Royals -days and possibility to even stay overnight. I actually just bought the Day ticket and I am going with one of the people (she's American, from USA actually) I have met through being a fan of YR, Edvin and Omar. We've never met before, but connected through the super active YREDMAR-Twitter fandom. We will also go to one of the summer festivals together to see Omar. So, this series has created a lot of IRL friendships (especially amongst the teen fans) and through that given us all SO MUCH good in life. My only problem now is that I have still difficulties to watch anything else than YR, as the bar is now so high and nothing brings me the same emotional experience, BUT ALSO, I cannot watch any other reactors than you, as you two are just so so good at this and it's such a pleasure to listen to your intelligent, genuine, curious and emotionally open comments. It's been amazing. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Finally! I have watched this documentary probably 6-7 times. It is to touching. You can really feel the love they have for each other and for their characters. If you want to know more about everything BTS you can watch interviews of ALL the cast members, directors, screen writers, intimate coordinators, producers and the composer. You will find it on The Permanent Rain Press https://www.youtube.com/@theprpress/search?query=young%20royals. There among a 3 hour long interview with Lisa Ambjörn about how she worked with the script and the filming. I had the incredible opportunity to thank her myself for this beautiful series when I bumped into her on the streets here in Stockholm. Thank you again for handling this with so much care. I too cannot watch it with any other reactors. And Happy Birthday Adam!

Helen Wilson

Happy Birthday Adam, I have family round so not watched it yet but will in a bit 🫶🎂🥳❤️

Kat

This was a nice wrap up to one of my favourite series. Have loved your reactions and am so happy you enjoyed it. I have rewatched so many times and each time I just appreciate how great the show really is- the writing, acting directing all of it! Deserves all the accolades in the world!💜💜

sobelou

Adam and Bradley, thank you so much for sharing this documentary; I didn't even know it existed until you mentioned it at the end of the series. Moving and heartwarming, and it is always such a pleasure to see you both, with your insightful and intelligent (both emotionally and analytically) comments. These producers and young actors really have offered something very singular, and as Brad said, the story was closed at the end of season 3, but it can be reopened. Thanks again!

Ellie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM for yesterday!🥳🥳🙌🙌 I don’t know if anyone has already answered your question but the reason why Maddie speaks English all the time is cause her character is meant to be an international student. According to Lisa, Elite boarding schools such as these are prone to have international students cause most likely they ll have students perhaps whose families are affluent and send their kids abroad to study. Maddie is from USA ( NYC), she talks about this in the first season and tho she understands Swedish, she prefers to speak English cause she doesn’t like her accent / dialect when does speaking Swedish. Also the people they all hug in the end ARE the YRs PRODUCERS! 😉. Soo glad you watched this and yes, it’s all full circle for you now watching Omar & Edvin very much STILL the BEST of people & now co business owners, their chemistry and bond was soo INSTANT we all have to thank ROJDA for bringing in Omar. The fact that they had to REWRITE SIMON as a character once Omar came in is the gift that keeps giving, OMAR was truly MADE for the role of Simon. Fun fact: Malte Also auditioned for the role of Simon BEFORE Omar 😉

Linda R

I would LOVE to see you react to some of the cast interviews, especially with Edvin and Omar. They're so fun together and it's a nice way to kind of keep the story going!

Helen Wilson

Oh boys how I've loved looking back thru the seasons with you both and I knew I'd enjoy watching this with you and you never disappointed as I knew yous would watch it with an open heart and intelligence. I love how much you love the program as I knew yous would and the documentary is every bit as special. Omg Lisa is one talented writer for her to see her beautiful story come to life must have made her so proud. Everyone involved the actors, the directors, the crew in filming just everyone were amazing to create this little queer show that's stolen hearts worldwide and given me the wonderful Omar Rudbergs beautiful music. Living in Scotland I might not have heard of him but oh boy that joyous human being has creeped his way into my heart. All the actors on the show are amazing and they will all have their own set of fans but Omar has definitely got to me with his music, his humility, kindness talent and with the equally talented Edvin Ryding has created a beautiful fragrance with more to come. You should watch videos of Omars London show where Edvin came onto the stage when he was singing Simons Song the fans went off their heads it was a very special moment 😭😭 anyways lovely to see you checking up on the boys see what they're up to next just shows hm you loved it. Sorry its so long. Im now watching Fellow Travellers with you wow what a different direction but equally an amazing show look forward to watching more with you 😊

Bradam Reacts

OKAY!! Maybe some short-form reaction content to them outside of YR... 👀💕

Bradam Reacts

OHHH totally missed Maddie being an international student. That actually makes so much sense for her and the school. Omar is incredible... he will always be our little Simon 🥺

Bradam Reacts

Which I love! I'm so glad the story was able to be told and finished so well, but anything can happen now- I won't be too disappointed that the story is over, but I can hold out hope that they'll have a new story to tell eventually ❤️

Bradam Reacts

It really is such a nice way to wrap things up!! I need more BTS of every show we love 💗

Bradam Reacts

Your words are so sweet! Thank for choosing to enjoy this with us 🥰

Bradam Reacts

LOOK AT YOUNG ROYALS MAKING PEOPLE FRIENDS!!! That's so cute! Your words are so sweet, that means so much for us to hear how much you've enjoyed watching with us. There's nothing that can replicate the magic feeling of Young Royals, but there are other shows I'm sure will spark some serious joy, we'll just have to find em for ya ;) ❤️

Bradam Reacts

I would've had the same breakdown omg, bless his big heart 🥺

Marstrand

Thank you for your reactions to this beautiful story 💙💜. Loved every minutes of it. Oh and Omar’s first spoken languages is Swedish since he lived in Sweden since he was 5 years old. He talks Spanish with his mom and is fluent in both spanish and English.

Dionne Lakey

No it's Spanish first, then he learned Swedish when he started school in Sweden at 6 years old. Your first language is the language you learn as an infant. He didn't only start speaking at 6 years old. He remembers quite vividly his life in Venezuela with his extended family before coming to Sweden.
