Vague-ish spoilers— In pt 2 of the game, the line between good/evil and right/wrong definitely blurs. Like a “how much will you give up/how far will you go to get revenge” kind of thing. Very interested in seeing how the showrunners adapt the game’s storyline & what (if any) changes they make!

Ya, I also didn't know Joel would die. I did watch the next episode but frankly not sure if I'll keep watching. Pedro was the draw for me and well I find Ellie annoying. Yes, two of the ones with Abby didn't like what she was doing, but they didn't try to stop her. Also, they appear not to have known about Ellie and her possibly being a cure. The endless loop of 'they killed some of us so we got to kill some of them" is why I rarely watch these kind of shows.

I love it!! Some of my favorite writing blurs those lines- like yes!! give me morally grey characters that I can't stand behind. that's what creates fun, engaging discourse and interesting and refreshing dynamics!!!

It sucks that Joel's gone but my guess he will be back in flashbacks. i know that the viewership has taken a huge nose dive. RT 98% audience 48%. People that aren't familiar with the game,me, are pissed off. Oh well so where will the show go after this. I have a few ideas but who knows. Well people who have played the game know.

First time I’ve watched this series and I spent the whole time you guys were doing the outro saying (out loud to myself alone in my house) “no it’s not true. It’s a dream. They got high in the 7/11 and this is a bad trip” like I’m so in shock bc what was that.

It's so interesting to me to see what they change and what they keep from the games. The first season is so true to the game, a lot of scenes almost word for word, and the only things really "changed" were the deeper dives into frank and bill, henry and sam (all of whom are still actually in the game, just not that in depth), and the addition of kathleen. But so far, this second season has been so so much different, it feels weird. Like, the entire thing with Jackson getting overrun with infected just doesn't happen in the game, and that feels like a CRAZY thing to add? I guess I'll just have to watch the rest to see how i feel about it lol. Also, back on my "crazy small detail" bullshit- Ellie screaming at Joel to get up is a parallel to when Joel gets stabbed with the baseball bat and falls off the horse, and the song at the end of The SceneTM in this episode is sung by Ashley Johnson aka in game Ellie and in show Ellie's mom

Such an intense episode! I played the game before the tv show came out and have never been able to play past Joel dying. Never continued or finished it and have no desire to. It truly killed the vibe and I've been angry ever since.

Also, Abby woke up the hoard that destroyed the town. Maybe that's why the cordyceps roots were more active this time and not dormant when the guy was cleaning out the pipes and that then alerted the hoard to the town location.
