In this video, we react to Season 2 Episode 7 of The Last of Us, "Convergence".

We've loved watching S1 & S2 of TLOU alongside you all these past couple of months. We'll miss our characters for now, but stay tuned– we might just be streaming our first time playing the games 👀 And of course, S3 when it comes out!

If you guys do decide to play the game on your own, it’s about 12 hours until the season 2 finale stopping point. If you were to watch it on Youtube (from someone who knows what they’re doing, knows where to go, doesn’t die, etc.), it’s probably closer to 8 hours of gameplay. Either way it is a great story in the gameplay format and will help you understand the characters and their relationships more!

Completely agree with you Brad - the characters are so interesting because their are so many grey areas to their decisions and actions but you can’t help but love them even if what they do is questionable. The writing and acting in this series is just incredible. I came in not knowing much about it and has fast become one of my favourite shows!!

Oof. So many mixed feelings about how this season was done. The show leaves us at a point where the average viewer hates Abby, so what reason would they have to watch a 3rd season that heavily features her? This was already a common criticism with the game but when you're playing it you're just thrown from one scene right into the next and you're unlikely to drop the game halfway through. That way you're kinda forced to put yourself in her shoes and it works, or at least it did for me. With the show though, it feels more likely that not everyone is gonna be willing to pick it up again by the time season 3 drops LITERAL YEARS (😭) from now. I understand why they had to split it up but it's so strange to see it end here when it feels like they've barely gotten into the meat of what happens in the 2nd game. It might feel like we've already been put through the worst of it with Joel's death but there's still a freaking JOURNEYYY for both Ellie and Abby to go on! 😮‍💨 I'd love to watch you guys play the games!!! And even if you decide not to film it, it's still worth playing on your own time! I find that the big moral questions of the story hit even harder when you're the one executing them. The pacing also feels quite different from the show so I think some parts would still manage to surprise you even though you technically already know what's gonna happen. And while the controversy around the casting has been unfair in many ways, I do think that Ellie and Abby in particular feel like very different characters in the game. It's absolutely worth experiencing them for yourself!

Also the twin discourse had me in stitches 😭 They definitely made that scene confusing as fuck for no reason. You guys actually had me question my memory of the game 😭 And Bradley you're definitely not alone in your gay Abby agenda HAHAHA. While Ellie and Dina are the more popular ship, people do write some wild ass fanfiction about Ellie and Abby 💀

Amazing react thank you guys!! I love this show but I still heavily thinks the game made the story more impactful and well done, especially for season 2, so I 100% encourages you to play it. If you play on stream/video I'd also really love to watch that!!
