oh the end of this ep makes me feel sick

David Faux

I love that this episode is, more or less, just 4 long scenes of dialogue. It’s definitely longer, but they’re all so well-written and thought out, it’s hard to make just straight up talking that doesn’t involve a lot of drama, be so interesting and engaging.

Inna Kajaste

I just wish you'd pump the rest of this season out a video per day because it's so freaking tense (like season 1 was too) the whole way through and uugghh the urgency I feel to just move forward is real. 😁😩

Loved the reaction! Btw that red tracksuit thingy William wears are part of being a «russ» (which if unclear refers to students in their final year celebrating graduating) it’s like a uniform kinda. You typically wear it from around the end of April up until the 17th of May, that’s when we celebrate our Constituion Day ☺️

Hopefully, someone stops whoever is touching Nora's leg. It looked like a woman's hand to me. Anybody else think that? In her talk with Sona, Nora was basicly doing to William what she said he was doing to her. Ya know trying to change her views and beliefs and what to think.

AHHHH literally ran to watch this!!! Always the best notification to get 🥳 Also kinda shaking in my boots thinking about how close we are getting to S3 omg… The scene between Noora and Vilde made me want a Vilde season so bad. There's these two sides to her and I would have loved to get to know her character on a deeper level 🥲 Fucking looove when she hits Noora with the "Do you think he's good enough for you?" like damn!!! Should have been case closed right there lol Both of you perceiving the danger of the dinner party situation so differently really shows how well that scene was executed! I think that's exactly the uncertainty they're trying to portray in Noora here. This scene definitely felt uncomfortably familiar to a lot of viewers, especially the young women and girls who made up a large part of the audience for the show. There's this dangerous tendency to self soothe and tell ourselves "Oh I'm probably just being paranoid" when really trusting your gut and getting out is pretty much always the best course of action.

Thank you for always watching until the end! Like you also saw last season, SKAM likes doing blackout screens for dramatic effect - but the episode isn’t over until the big yellow letters appear. This was such a good episode. (Trying to get over my stomach clenching at the end to talk about the rest of the episode… but that was honestly so well done, so creepy and disorienting.) Both Sana and Vilde are such good friends in this episode. I love both of their friendships with noora so much <3 and fully agree with you guys how nice these one-on-one convos are!

Becca

I haven't been watching your S2 reactions (soz boys) which is a shame bc I LOVE Noora but I hate the romanticism of this season's relationship. But I wanted to watch your reaction to the scene w Sana. I personally found it so disappointing the first time I watched, and since, bc it's the first time Noora has been open about the emotionally manipulative situation (whether intentional or not) she finds herself in, only for Sana to insinuate she's wrong for feeling how she's feeling. It feels so weird because the show are finally addressing how William has been acting, only to make it seem like it's not an issue - when it is! I try to give William some grace in that he's still young, and learning, but he is not a good guy. And in the same way I could recognise Eva/Jonas were toxic in the first season and I didn't want them together, Noora/William are also most definitely toxic, and very emotionally abusive, and that is why I find it so frustrating, and super worrying(!!), that so many people romanticise them.

Ondine

guys I NEED to know when the next episode is coming 😭😭

Maria

I love love love your reactions!!

audrey

unpopular opinion but i don’t really agree with some of the things sana told noora. i don’t think it inherently makes someone more strong to change their opinions/morals because of someone else's point of view. & i think noora is completely valid to be uncomfortable with williams actions, without attempting to “understand” why he did what he did. if she is 100% against violence and war, she doesn’t need to change her morals just because her boyfriend tries to come up with a lame excuse. i also don’t particularly like how sana basically shrugged off noora saying she felt like william was controlling in the way he argues by saying “so you’re upset that he is smarter than you?” i like sana as a character but i feel like the scene between them in this episode could of been done better. i just feel like it tried to make noora look dumb/naive which is not the case.

audrey

i agree with the sana x noora scene. william isn’t particularly evil but he has definitely been manipulative and a bit controlling. sana not hearing her out makes me annoyed.

Mo

I personally love the scene between Noora & Sana. Sana is such a great friend and I think she's just giving Noora a different perspective & sometimes that’s necessary. Every relationship in skam and in life is different & the way people perceive them is different too. So I think that’s why I like this season. Noora’s journey and the way she thinks about things are challenged and I find that interesting.

benita lin

Yeah, there's definitely some things off about that scene. I get that there's this reoccurring theme throughout Sana's character arc about how misunderstanding fosters prejudice and how you should try to understand peoples motivations before casting judgement, which obviously is sound advice in most contexts, but it's not very applicable to Noora's situation because a lack of understanding is not really the problem here? It also seems strangely out of character for Sana to show basically no reaction when Noora says that William is controlling. Like, Sana's whole thing that's emphasized several times throughout the show is that she's super protective of her friends, so why isn't she going into protection mode here? Feels like a disservice to Sana's character.

Lindsay

The way Bradley was completely calm throughout the whole ending scenes until the very last few frames, but Adam was uncomfy from the jump. I think it really speaks to the genius writing of the show-- such a calm ep up until this point. and the writing and acting is so subtle makes you question if you should be creeped out or if this is normal and fine...totally puts you in Noora's headspace.

Flo

I think if Noora had been in a non toxic relationship then Sana’s advice would’ve made more sense. I don’t necessarily think changing your opinion makes you stronger than if you don’t, but what makes you strong is having the ability to listen to someone else’s point of view and make your own decision based on critical thinking. That doesn’t really apply in this situation though because what Noora is worried about is whether William is being mentally abusive or not and I agree that having Sana just sweep that under the rug was not a great move on the writers’ part. But I also think it’s very realistic for a 16 year old to not be able to clock that that is what’s happening, especially in 2016 when mental abuse wasn’t really being talked about. I do wish they would’ve included Noora having a conversation with an adult about it in this episode because that way we would’ve gotten two different but realistic perspectives on the situation. One from a friend the same age as Noora and one from an adult who would’ve been able to better guide her through the situation.

Venus R

This is a fair view but I wholeheartedly disagree. Sana doesn't know William but she knows noora. It's clear that a character flaw of noora is thinking she has the most correct opinion all of the time. And to be fair, she usually does. But no matter how good a person you are, you cannot always be right. Tf I think it made a lot of sense for Sana to tell noora that she should try to understand william and that it is not necessarily a bad thing for your partner to challenge your way of thinking on the basis that noora herself says that she really loves him. I personally loved this scene with noora and Sana BC it was discussing real relationship issues and concerns that you would discuss with a best friend. In the end of the day, Sana made it clear that noora doesn't have to be with william and that she's only half way convinced that they will make it in the end. So I felt the writers did a great job with the scene bc when you have talks like these with your friends, she can only really speak on what noora should do but Sana doesn't know William in depth or in that way at all so it would be more odd for her to sit there casting concrete negative judgements on a guy her friend says she's in love with. Esp when, Sana asked noora to elaborate on her controlling example and noora couldn't really articulate anything concrete enough that would trigger a "I've got to go to bat for my friend" response. Plus, imo sana's advice is consistent with Sana's character BC Sana is a lot more forgiving and understanding of ppl period - cf her always standing up for vilde even though vilda was quite mean towards and about Sana earlier on. That's just my take though🤷🏾‍♀️

Venus R

The way I'm finding myself thrown back into my skam obsession era with these reactions!! (I am loving y'all's takes on the characters/events as y'all go along btw🤩) I literally cannot wait for y'all to get to the end of this season and season 3... So much so, I went ahead and rewatched all of season 3 in one sitting!🙈😅

Venus R

Those all black screen cuts at the end though...😑

Now you will recognize some of the faces from the season 2 trailer.

"Both of you perceiving the danger of the dinner party situation so differently really shows how well that scene was executed! I think that's exactly the uncertainty they're trying to portray in Noora here." Such an excellent point. You are exactly right.

Joy2464

I agree with William's statement that Noora is naive. He may be too blunt but it's true. It's easy to be a pacifist when you have a privileged and easy life. Being passive and kind is wonderful, until you it's too late to fight back. William even mentioned how Norway became a free country - through war. It's like where we are in the US right now, the time to stand up and fight back is now. Not when all our freedoms are gone.

Venla

Interesting that Norway has those in high school but we wear them in Finland at university events! And Sweden as well if I remember correctly. :)

Frida BØ

Oh really? That’s nice ☺️ but yeah it’s kinda backwards here because we celebrate being done with school during the exam period, like before we’ve actually graduated😂

Bradam Reacts

It's the kind of advice we all hope to be able to give our friends one day. There's no way to truly understand how someone feels or what they're experiencing, but at the end of the day Sana is the friend you want on your side. She's clearly a ride or die, and I love it :)

Olha77

We can like or dislike William, and talk about whether he's toxic. But - I see here two people, young people, who are really suited for each other - on different levels. Whether it will work in 10 years - I don't know, but there's a reason why they love each other. William sees someone who is like him - he sees a challenger, not an admirer.

The Yakuza boys are a buss of 2. graders from a diffrent school. They go to class with Evas hookup Adam.

The marching band is probably rehearsing for the 17th of May parade, the constitution day

G S

That was my favorite scene in this episode, too. And Sana's points were valid and perspicacious: William didn't smash a bottle over someone because he is (in the abstract) "pro-war". That wasn't what was going on *in the moment*, so from that perspective Noora saying that she is anti-war wasn't "seeing" him just as much as William's comments weren't "seeing" her.
