We're so back with this new installment of the adopted Vampire Chronicles! 'The Vampire Lestat' is here to melt our faces off with 7 episodes of rock n' roll, sex, drugs and most importantly... our husband is back on our screen. Front and center stage. 🤘🏻

Following the events of the previously reacted to 'Interview with the Vampire' (2022), 'The Vampire Lestat' takes place in 2025 after the interview between Louis De Pointe Du Lac and newfound vampire Daniel Malloy is published and flies off the shelves. Now with vampires exposed (whether they're believed or not), Lestat's rock n' roll world tour is being followed by a documentary crew, and we will witness the greatness that is, the Vampire Lestat.

Boas, leather pants, blood, nudity, music, fights and NEXT-LEVEL DRAMA to be expected. Plus our husbands will finally be reunited. And we're here for it all. 🎸

Fun Fact..... The red-haired dancer at Chubs that makes out with Lestat's mom is Claroos... her and her husband run the reaction channel Nerdy Nightly. He was making fun saying he was probably going to have to edit her out for their YouTube reaction of this episode. 🤣

In the first episode, the vamp coven called themselves "The Fang Gang". When Claudia and Bruce are talking around the campfire, in season 1 of IWTV, he joked about them becoming a Fang Gang. So I knew Bruce was going to pop up at some point. I don't remember if Bruce is in the book The Vampire Lestat or not.

BTW! there’s a post-show interview after every episode called “tvl after dark”, i’d recommend watching it to hear more about the actors talking about the characters and making the show, they know their characters so well and always have really interesting insights ❤️

lestat’s glasses in gabrielle’s (that’s her name in the books, i can’t cope with the gabriella change lol) turning scene are actually tinted purple! apparently common among hunters at the time but im not sure how that ties into anything if it even does lol

also, lestat and gabrielle aren’t pretending to survive their attack. they were hiding/sleeping in a coffin or whatever that was outside, listening to the children’s reaction to finding his family dead. lestat is quite fond of his nieces in the books so i think it’s showing his guilt. the burying you’re thinking of comes significantly later, as you know now, after nicki’s death. it’s common for vampires to bury themselves in the ground because how long they live tends to make them go mad. so most of the older vampires you’ll meet as the show goes on have also experienced a period of time buried!
