Before the Storm + Lost Records (Patreon)

More portrait studies/experiments of some notable video game girlies! This time, I did young Chloe Price and Rachel Amber from the prequel game, and Swann Holloway and Nora Malakian from Don't Nod's new game, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, which I just recently finished. Just went ham with the colors and textures for these new pieces. Surprisingly, I did these pretty fast, like 2-3 hours tops.

My first go at Chloe was not so great.

I wasn't digging the colors I put on her skin, and the lighting was hella inconsistent with the mismatched soft and sharp lines and intense highlights. The hair and eyes were definitely my least favorite bits. Just overall not a good piece, and I knew I could do better. That, and I was hungry and went through some technical difficulties. So the vibes were pretty much nonexistent.

My favorite's gotta be Nora (punk girl). I think the mix of harsh pinks and subtle blues just worked really well. And I made sure to keep the blemishes on her face that were present in the game. Just adds a lot to her design, me thinks.

Overall, I'm very proud of these. Just gotta keep it consistent moving forward.
