Like we voted before, I'm working on a short Houdini video this month. It took me around 8 hours to build the scene in that screenshot, and now I'm working on fracturing the buildings with Houdini scripts...

According to the online course I'm following, this entire scene should be able to import to UE and render inside the game. My ultimate goal would be to have such a cinematic scene "playable". Let's see how far I can get!

Ah, no… those assets are bought from kitbash and I learnt to modify them to fit the Houdini system… still working on it now

Or maybe the HongKong project uses the same buildings? Sorry I don’t know that one 🥺

my advice would be to Group them and assign colors, or make a Template that you can easily edit. Cuz once you dive deep and have like 50 nodes, you'll be in a spiderweb of confusion lol Also if you have free time, poke around what all the different nodes do... a lot of tutorials are outdated or just fail to show All of the nodes, you might find some that Help you or make it Easier, or that are just Fun. https://solusmundi.com/2023/12/29/houdini-node-generation/ You can also use Python to auto-generate whole setups as a Template. GPT and Gemini could help with the code, if you can't find any good ones on Google.

Wow, that is helpful. I guess as my first Houdini project, I should try to do everything by hand which might help me understand the logics behind it. Later on definitely should try python scripts. Also the HDA tools seem super powerful
