After getting some basics done, I'm back to fighting with Spine. I've tried implementing some initial character customization (without any UI for now), and the results are promising. What LustFire is showcasing in the sneakpeaks - customization, animations, and so on - is indeed possible in my game.

I'm unsure about the final performance, but I've tested 20 walking characters continuously randomizing their bodies, and I managed to stress my i9 14900k to 15% and my RTX 4070 to 20%. This is without much optimization yet and with multiple things still missing, but it shouldn't get much worse once released. Overall, I'm pretty happy with what we've achieved so far. Videos below:

Looks great! Lots of variety and good movement. Will you be doing a similar revision of the butts?

Mr. Unaware

You mean customizable butt size? Yeah, more customization options will appear, but we need to test them with clothes, animations, different angles, and so on, because some might not be customizable much or even not possible at all, so it's hard to make any hard promises at this point, but we want to add as much customization as possible. It might not be visible at the first glance, but there's even hands size :P

DarkmanBNM

Yeah, if possible some customization for butt size/shape would be great :)

Mr. Unaware

Although it will be hard from the front angle, we will see what we can do ^^

This right here, is why I started to support you. You're doing a fantastic job !!!

Mr. Unaware

Thanks a lot, mate! I'll try to keep the same spirit :D

I9 14900K? RTX 4070? Can'

A M

Can't blame your equipment!

Mr. Unaware

But I can :D 13th & 14th gen of Intel is unstable as fuck, and gave me multiple BSODs while trying to work, so most likely I won't go for Intel next time. But I admit that speed is nice :P

A M

Ah, but Intel's stock dropped 30% Friday because of that, and they are offering RMAs to those affected. Class Action lawsuit ongoing. Patch due in mid-August to fix voltage issue.

Mr. Unaware

Ah, yeah, thanks for reminding me, have to update my BIOS :P Dunno if the whole RMA thing is USA only or worldwide, but proving that CPU is damaged and it's their fault might be also "funny".
