Hey lads!

As promised, here's a little showcase of the art provided by 2 final artists. I didn't expect so many people to contact me! It was really crazy! So here are some stats from the whole hiring competition madness:Amount of ads placed - 3 (F95, Hentai Foundry, Facebook).Days I've spent on talking with artists - 5 (didn't work during this time).Artists who contacted me - 41.Artists who showed me any portfolio - 37.Artists who tried drawing anything for me - 13.Artists who seriously tried to get this job - 5.Artists who made it this far to this poll - 2.Artist who will get hired - 1.

ATTENTION - This is NOT the final art that I'll use in the game! These are just raw drafts to show artists' skills & styles! It will be re-made from scratch for the game once I choose the winner!

IMPORTANT - This poll is only to help me make a choice. Even if one of the artists gets the highest number of votes, it doesn't really mean that I will choose him/her. Stuff is much more complicated development-wise and there are many factors that I have to take into account. Both artists have their advantages and disadvantages. It's a really, really hard choice.

So, please, vote on the ANY art that you like. If you like it all, then feel free to vote on it all! Attached current in-game art (C) for comparison.

ohhh geee, thanx... :-) so here is my thoughts: A is a bit "blocky" i don't really know how to describe it, it feels rough somehow... B is a bit softer than A, overall nicer, but dose really the shin bend that much backwards in high heels??? C is the "old" and i have always liked the old style... So time to cast my vote... ;-P

I do like A. Damn find drawing, but that’s more graphic novel than animated game. B is so similar to the general aesthetic of current, just WAY cleaner and better than C. Looks like you could practically drop it right into the game as is and it would work with customization sliders, lol.

Roger Bond

The animation is crucial thing in my opinion. Whichever one can give ya quality, customizable characters that animate really well has my vote.

A is nice, but I loooove B!!! Both are talented, that's for sure. Thanks for showing us! <3

Ooh it's a hard choice indeed. I think they both are better than the original, for sure. Also I don't think you could go wrong with either. My findings: A: - I like the artstyle more - Looks unfortunately a bit more masculine but that could partly be because we can't see the outline of the (lower)back - needs a bit thicker ass - looks a bit more 3D (other leg in the background for example, more details) - better positioning of for example hands and feet in my opinion B: - has a bit of a weird angle of the lower leg/shin - is cleaner but simpler and less interesting to my eye - More true to the original art I agree with Roger in that quality/degree of the animations and customizations would be the deciding factor for me personally

I posted this on the discord, but I'll place it here as well A: A for me, is the most ascetically pleasing and has more detail than be. It also looks more like it would fit more with the naïve girl in a dangerous city vibe. However, it also looks like it would be more difficult to animate given it increase level of detail, and probably takes longer to draw. Its general ascetic also give off the impression of the game having a more series story and feel. B: B, has nice simplicity to it, and feels like something for an animated adult comedy. It gives off a feel of something like Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss, but lacking any of the violence, gore and focused more on human, and much light-hearted. However, its simple design would probably make it easier to animate. Of the two I would lean slightly more in the direct of A, as it feels more like it would fit better with game's theme, but would be harder to animate which could mean slower development. While, B would probably be easier to animate, but doesn't feel like it fit the game type of setting and theme your going for, but also does feel more a bit more unique than A.

It's more about the art-style than characters themselves. We will still have to do some downgrades here and there, fit characters into my skeleton, add character customization options and so on. Thanks for the feedback!

Mr. Unaware

It's funny, but A has actually closer anatomy to our current model than B :D And after talking with artist B I decided to re-make art from scratch, since it won't work otherwise. Anyway, with both arts you might see more art glitches than with C, since they are more complex, though I'm not gonna downgrade animations. I kinda believe that I can still improve animations, but I won't know for sure until I'm done testing it. Cheers!

Mr. Unaware

Yep, both are great! You are welcome and thanks for voting! :D

Mr. Unaware

Well, then I'm gonna do the send and copy my Discord's answer, too :D Yep, both arts give completely different vibes, but both are way better than actual art, so no matter which I choose, it will be still an upgrade. And no worries, character customization options stay (not sure if I'm gonna resign from a few, though), so I'm gonna add different face variants that my fit different character styles, like bitchy/innocent etc. Regarding animations, that's something what I call "Insexsity syndrome" - they overdid character art, thus forcing the game into really simple animations that still broke the art, and there was nothing they could do about it, while in my project I set characters up a bit differently, minimizing the problem, but increasing animation time and giving me other problems, so it won't be that bad, but it's still the same rule - details cause animation glitches. Thanks a lot for the input!

Mr. Unaware

She will be less masculine, it's just artist's style - he likes them big :P Same with 3D, we are still making them flat in this angle in the game, so it's just a draft. And in both cases animations and character customization will be fucked up by the similar degree :P Thanks a lot for the feedback!
