I honestly think that this story could work if “JC the hyena” put more time in character development for example the English teacher that is murdered comes out of nowhere and would’ve been better if he started off the story with Tom, Roger, Cindy and the rest of his friend group attending one her class as it would allow the story to set up the friend group dynamic and the teacher as well instead of the weird existential poem bit that he had at the beginning which was a complete waste of time that doesn’t even tie in with the story.

Agreed yeah, so much of the story would at least hit harder or be more interesting if he took time to develop the characters more.

Another problem I have with the story is the convenience of characters figuring out clues when it’s plot convenient like you would think that Tom would have told detective Green about the letter and it’s not like “JC the hyena” forgot about that detail as Tom puts two and two together and figures out that it wasn’t his friends writing which should’ve been obvious at the beginning but anyway when he figures it out you would think that he would’ve showed that letter to detective Green but doesn’t which is frustrating because it means two things “JC the hyena” forgot about it or is going to bring that letter back later but I don’t think he’s going to do that, I got a rough feeling that he written this story without doing any drafts or proofreading.
