Naw, Laurentia's thought process makes perfect sense to me. It's one thing if you're prepared to kill a man who is actively threatening your life- that's self defense, and you know what you're going to do and what can happen as the result of your emotional preparation to take a life. But if someone commits suicide right in front of you when you had no intention on harming them, that's still shocking and upsetting. And I'm sure she felt a little guilty that she didn't predict his reaction or how it would negatively impact them both. 😅👍
