Take note from this point forward on the intentional parallel between Cassian and Syril via the relationship with their mothers. For Maarva Andor, love is unconditional and a matter of fact. For Eedy Karn, love is transactional and earned through positive social representation. This translates into the difference with how Cassian and Syril handle romantic relationships. I won’t spoil, but just keep it in mind

I think Eedy Karn, syrils mom shares a lot of similarities with the archetype of the proud immigrant mother that is present in a lot of American media. Mothers who can be a bit overbearing and hard on their children but that usually comes from them growing up poor and overcoming many hardships. So now they hold their children to incredibly high standards because they had to work so hard to get the family to where it is now. Eedy does love syril and wants the best for him but she pushes him so much it is hard for them to really connect with one another.

You should burn through the rest of this series you'll absolutely love the next 2 arcs

About Val and Cinta... I guess Marva put it how it is: That's just love. Nothing you can do about it. And I love my Characters having flaws, because that is what makes them believable and, as you put it, believable.

I was super excited for you to get to this episode. So many interesting conversations and peeks into Cassian’s past… so much to analyze! And you did not disappoint. So enjoying these videos and I can’t wait for the next ones!
