This episode is a little *too* action heavy for me. I like it better when the action is more character driven. While the banter is nice with Ki-Adi Mundi at the end, I take a darker note from it. Ki-Adi is a Master on the Council, but he's gamifying the slaughter just like Anakin and Ahsoka. That's moral decay. It's not the Jedi's role. Obi-Wan is the one who gets it. He's a little less forceful in expressing it than he might be, probably because it *is* a coping mechanism and he was the one who just got bailed out. I also enjoyed both Anakin's note that the "one time he actually asks" Obi-Wan for help, he's in bad, or Obi-Wan is always hovering when Ani doesn't need him. His gloating when they finally got to Obi-Wan was uglier. Despite the worry he'd felt, he couldn't resist rubbing his rescue of Obi-Wan in, which was a good reminder of the fierce sense of rivalry that exists right alongside the love for Obi-Wan in Anakin. Thank you for getting these out fairly often. I love rewatching this show with you. I also love your stacks of books in the background. You have some serious bookshelf problems. All the best people do.

I dont know if it is canon anymore (thank you Disney for constantly changing the canon and not for the better) but one of the reasons the Jedi could not sense Sidious in Palpatine is because of a Sith artifact that the Jedi built their temple of Coruscant on top of, this artifact clouded their abilities to sense with the force, they thought the temple would surpress the artifact but it was too powerful for the temple to contain and thats why they cannot sense the darkness in him. Even so Sith have always been able to mask their dark side when needed, as long as they surpressed their dark emotions, they could pass by as normal people unless the Jedi actively tried to focus sense on one individual, and even then its not like a big radar that just reveals all the bad guys. :)

Not sure if you picked up on it as there's a lot going on, but the 2 clones sent to rescue Obi-Wan were Waxer and Boil, the pair who made friends with the little Twi'lek girl Numa. If you look carefully, they both have little images of her painted on their armour.

Regarding Rex passing through the droid's shield: the shields are designed to stop fast moving objects (as most projectiles and even shrapnel would be, so it is possible to move slowly and steadily and pass through the shield, you're just running a big risk that the droid doesn't turn roundas you get close and have an easy shot at you
