So excited! This will also serve as motivation for me to actually finish the series (I'm terrible at watching shows all the way through)

Great to see this! Very excited! So you know, Kim, I’d *highly* recommend watching these in chronological order, which is a very easy Google search to find. Sometimes George would get ideas for stories they could tell, and the people making the show would be like “But George….that was in the past. We’re already beyond that point in the timeline.” And he’d be like “Yeah….why are you still here? Make it happen!” 😆 Because of this, you’ll end up with season 3 episodes that take place before season 1 episodes, with absolutely no explanation that you’ve jumped around. For example, there’s an episode in what I think is season 3 that is a prequel episode TO THIS ONE. Watching in release order, you have to figure that out for yourself, which you would have no reason to do, because you don’t go into it thinking that way. And technically, the first two chronological episodes of this show are 1x16 and then 2x16. So yeah, it can get very confusing watching them in release order, so I’d really recommend looking up chronological order and watching them that way. Looking forward to this either way!

Yes Kim, the clone wars series (and the sequel series, Star wars Rebels) are targetet mostly towards younger kids like around 8 to 12, but does deal with some serious issues as well, and does get a bit darker every now and then. And not only does the CW series give you a lot more background lore and information about what happened during the war, but also gives many characters more time to shine especially the clones and their Jedi generals, much like the original star wars battlefront 2 (from 2004) game, this show also is seen much from the clones perspective and what they experienced. :)

Joined today just for Clone Wars!!! As everyone in the comments will tell you, this is an anthology show, meaning the episodes are NOT IN ORDER. Just Google search “Clone Wars Chronological Order” and you’ll find dozens of links to the proper order. The first episode is actually Season 1 Epsiode 16 “Cat and Mouse”. Trust us, it’s the only way to watch. Have fun experiencing some of the best Star Wars has to offer!!

Also just as an overview of what this show is, the Clone Wars, as first mentioned by Alec Guinness’s Obi Wan Kenobi in the first movie in 1977, began in the last 15 minutes of SW Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, when Yoda came in clutch with the Clone Troopers and saved all those Jedi, and the war ends when the Empire is created, and the Jedi defeated in SW Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.

Super excited! One thing, and this is just a suggestion, but you should watch the episodes in chronological order. The actual first episode is season 2 episode 16. If you go onto the Star Wars website, they should have the chronological order of the episodes for the entire series.

Alright, guys. Please enough with the chronological order suggestions. I decided to watch the release date order like many others did before there was even a chronological order. I won’t change it up, you’re not the first to suggest it. I have had many private messages to comment the exact same thing over and over again. I understand many mean well, but there too many people spamming me at this point that it’s getting too much. It worked for the people when it first came out, it’s gonna work for people now too with the release date order. I will get my enjoyment out of the series, flashback are a thing and please just let me enjoy the series the way I’d like to watch it. Thank you.

I'm so excited that your are watching the clone wars. Glad you are watching it like they aired them on TV.

DarthRadonis

oo yes Just enjoy the ride this show will take you on, as you figured yes its mostly geared towards kids preteens and teens. And yes the first couple seasons are not the best in the whole series but worth the watch. I never understood people trying to get other people to watch in Chronological order when that is not how it orginally aired. And people should know trying to tell You how to watch something never goes well lol. Love that you giving us patrons these short episodes.

And so a new journey begins. I'm so excited to see you watch Clone Wars. I loved the conversation with Yoda and the Clones. This series actually lets us get to know them which is awesome. As always I love seeing Yoda fight. Side note, not sure if you watched it yet, but before the series began there was a Clone Wars movie which takes place before this episode and introduced a few new main characters.

I’ve been looking forward to this. About the target audience of the show, it was originally intended for younger audiences, but the viewership was all old dudes so the tone shifts a bit in the later seasons to reflect that. The continuation of this series, Bad Batch, continues the darker tone of the later episodes, same as Tales of the Jedi (mini-series).

The first seasons are kinda silly but the later ones are pure art. Its all enyoiable non the less

No problem with u doing it release order, watch in the order that make you happy, but don't forget the clone wars animated movie that released before the first season it introduce many characters. Hope people aren't giving you a hard time, maybe ask a friend who have watch the series if you get confused about anything, and the placement of the clone wars animated movie. Sorry for all the headache, but this serie is worth it 😉

The Clone Wars is great and becomes better as it goes on. It only makes the prequals even better. I also watched it in release order because I didn’t know better and it works but you may be confused at some point that a storyline of season 1 will be continued in season 3 or that the story of an episode of season 1 gets set up in an episode in season 5. But so far in your reactions you were very perceptive, so I think you will notice it and put it together :)

Blutch

Yes the first seasons are a little childish but hang on to in and believe us, every season is better and deeper than the previous one and it leads to some of the best star wars material ever made!

I have seen the clone wars start to finish at least 5 times and now I am watching it again here lol. Saw your Star Wars movies reactions and I love how you take in everything and give us your read on the film. You have a deep understanding of the story and characters that many other reaction channels lack, or fail to show and carry the audience along. I look forward to the rest of the clone wars with you!
