This and the next are my favorite episodes in the first season. Hondo Ohnaka is a great character, wildly entertaining and as you've mentioned acted perfectly by Jim Cummings. He steals every scene. And the banter between Anakin and Obi-Wan was also great. These are really good moments because you will remember them when you see the next time Obi-Wan cuts Anakin in half on Mustaphar... :D They add so much depth to their relationship and when Obi-Wan says "You were my brother Anakin" it will not only be just a great line but you will remember all these moments they had together. I love Clone Wars becasue it adds so much context to the movies.

The scene in the intro was from the clone wars movie which was released before the TV series. It’s 1.5 hours. Might be a good idea to watch that first. It’s where Ashoka was introduced.

I love that you have started uploading more of these!! Love your reactions to them!! please keep it coming! :D

Good note on the difference in Anakin when Obi-Wan is around versus when he is with Ahsoka. Yes; he has to maintain a level of decorum and authority with his padawan, but when he's with Obi-Wan he can be more informal and relaxed. He grew up with Obi-Wan, and the child he was shows through when they're alone. He can also afford to be more relaxed. He needs to protect Ahsoka. With Obi-Wan, even if he's objectively the more powerful of the two of them, he has traditionally been the one who is being protected. His reckless strikes get them an advantage, then Obi-Wan saves his butt when he gets in too deep or steps in it. Obi-Wan always has his back. In fact, Obi-Wan is the biggest mother hen in the galaxy, and to a certain extent, the dynamic between Anakin and Obi-Wan relies on this. Indeed, Dooku remarks on how often Obi-Wan rescues Anakin here. Now, we know from this episode that sometimes, this is a ploy. They send Anakin in to infiltrate enemy lines then set up an attack on two fronts or from within when Obi-Wan goes to "rescue" him. But often, Anakin lets his recklessness (and his confidence in Obi-Wan always being there to back him up) get the better of him. And Obi-Wan's backup of his apprentice is not at all just on an operational level. In effect, he has been enabling Anakin to function as a Jedi for years when Anakin doesn't understand the Jedi or fully embrace its principles. Dooku knows Anakin has a lot of raw strength in the Force, and I think he suspects his master's designs on Anakin. But Dooku was also a Jedi for decades himself. He knows it's a job that requires great strength of mind and spirit as well as great strength within the Force. And he is pretty contemptuous of Anakin's abilities in these areas. Dooku has enormous respect for Obi-Wan Kenobi. He would quite like Obi-Wan on his side. He thinks Anakin is naive, incapable trash.
