Yeah Jar jar is just too much. I can't enjoy him either. Good think there are not that many jar jar episodes.

Just seven seasons. Still a lot, but seven isn't twelve. 🤣 Some seasons are shorter than others too. I'm actually really enjoying your watching these. It's a fun little pick-me-up when you post them. Two things about the episode itself. First, it adds to the comedy when you realize Dooku is technically part of Obi-Wan and Anakin's Jedi family, just like Yoda and Ahsoka. Yoda trained Dooku trained Qui-Gon trained Obi-Wan trained Anakin trained Ahsoka. Since Jedi masters practically raise their padawans from age 12-equivalent to early twenties-equivalent (with Anakin young for both a Padawan learner and a Jedi Knight, if way, way old for an apprentice to the Order), and Jedi are communally raised before that from before most of them can remember, your Jedi masters are essentially your closest family. Due to age differences between masters and padawans and different relationship dynamics, the way an apprenticeship plays out can vary. So, Obi-Wan might have seen Qui-Gon as a father, but he himself is actually something between a father and a brother to Anakin, and Anakin very much has a brother-sister dynamic with Ahsoka. And when you write it all out, you realize Count Dooku is essentially Obi-Wan's Jedi grandfather. And he absolutely acts like one. A grumpy, disapproving, kids-these-days grandfather. Next, Hondo Ohnaka. Great character. It also makes me laugh that by the end of the episode he is not only reluctant to get his hands dirty—he genuinely admires Obi-Wan Kenobi. It's a little bit of a trend. It's not just you. Everyone likes Obi-Wan. Even Dooku likes Obi-Wan. He would absolutely love it if Obi-Wan came over to the Dark Side and helped him turn on Sidious. And even the people who hate Obi-Wan are so obsessed with him that you could just about call it twisted love. I swear all his arch-enemies have hate shrines where they throw knives and splash acid on pictures of him and plan to give him a long, drawn-out death, where they talk to him a LOT. And I have a feeling some of his more casual or circumstantial enemies (Ventress) might happily sleep with him. He's just THAT guy. (Filter all this through my being quite a lot in love with Obi-Wan myself.)

Hondo's voice actor is the legendary Jim Cummings. His (many) voice roles include Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Darkwing Duck, Taz the Tasmanian Devil and Pete (Goofy's neighbour)
