Here I wanted to demonstrate you the issues I still have with lower bass and also play some songs that were requested.

I am currently in the process of optimising the bass roll-off, which means keeping bass amount more or less the same or even boost it slightly for some modes, but cut bass a bit higher not to come into these problems. So far I haven't noticed that much difference to before in terms of extension, but the bass becomes definitely more controlled at high levels.

I still have some work to do and hope the final result will be even better than what is shown.

The new BOOM xXX mode will be even louder and with more bass than insane just without that lower bass which you usually don’t hear that well outdoors, I also managed to reduce the scratchiness on the mids and will try to adopt those tweaks to the other modes as well. But the Tribit started sounding like a toy at maximum compared against the BOOM xxX mode.

I also have other great news which I will announce with my next video.

Im very thankful that you played the tracks! 😀 i could really hear the differences quite well, especially with chris holsten, but i still like the uboom x more, it sounds more right to me. Though both speakers were pushed very far with chris😂

I managed to reduce the crackling in the mids in the meantime by readjusting gains. There are different gain stages and I had to reduce the pre-gain to have some headroom for the final gain. It should play pretty clean with the final version. I am still doing some tweaks though and managed some improvements today.

Hey Oluv, at 159.99 the speaker has great value over the competition already, looking forward for the release (fingers crossed on early bird). By the way, hopefully when you have time can you test AUX latency for the Uboom X? Many thanks

Pretty curious how it will perform then! This was already great for a speaker of this size, looking forward to the final firmware!

Whoa, didn't expect Mišo Kovač here... Anyway, compared to what manufacturers are achieving themselves, you are literally magician in comparison. Personally, I would like to keep some of that lower bass in the indoor mode so hoping that you can find a good compromise.

From what I heard from the video, the Insane mode at maximum volume seems too compress and harsh for me, I might just use indoor or outdoor when I need the most loudness, insane mode really fun when middle volume though, would love to see how xxX Boom perform.

I improved them today quite a bit by readjusting some compressor settings. Also mids got cleaner now. I will still try to get it as clean as possible but in the end it usually helps to reduce volume 1 notch. The last steps usually have gains of 5dB, so 5dB less compression with the stop below already can make some difference. Boom xxx sounds even more powerful with bass, not so much lower bass but simply pounding and very meaty. I will do some demonstration once I sorted out the biggest problems, but already now after raising bass cut a bit and optimising the compressor it sounds way better.

I hope that pushing the drivers to thier mechanical limit does not damage them on long term. I really like the deep bass extension and i know when to lower the volume, but many customers just crank up the volume and dont care... So i can understand that the earfun tuning leaves a certain amount of headroom to dont run into warranty issues.

When you placed the Uboom X above, it sounds very open and wide I'm surprised how boxy JBL sounds in comparison, I don't care how powerful it is.

If Julian requested some more normal music, can I add some additional bassier stuff for further testing? Those tricks are really xtreme: Boofy: Dead Stylus COSMIC: Beat Slayer For higher volume: Sans Souci: Nanika Sans Souci: Pandora (probably will distort) Boom Kitty: Badland

I played them in my Tribit video some days ago. Honestly they sounded terrible. Do you listen to such stuff?

Demonikox

Yeah I saw your video with Tribit, that's why I re-uploaded this post. No, I don't listen to them. Those are my test tracks however Sans Souci songs have nice stereo separation

I love mišo Kovač's music, thats why i requested also his song, takav som rođen has some great highs mids and lows, so it showed the difference quite well i think, but chris holsten really let them both struggle
