I had noticed afterwards that the JBL Partybox 100 in my previous video was already running low on battery and apparently reduced its power because of this. I was not aware of these cheating energy saving issues but my demo was definitely not representative although it still performs quite a bit better than the Stormbox Blast IMO. I am currently optimising all outdoor modes again and will post another video against my Partybox soon, but as for now I want to stop with these maximum volume tests, because this is not what the Uboom X is all about. I will shoot some video comparing it against my Neumann KH80 next to demonstrate the real sonic qualities a bit better.

Glad to hear you want to stop with these maximum volume tests, Oluv's gadgets wasn't about that

With some songs the deeper bass is quite nice from the tribit, but i returned it after 1 week already as it compressed mid and upper bass too much and became too harsh. Same problem i had with the boombox 2 and 3. Didnt like them either. The earfun with insane has even more lower bass as i could hear so its nice that the option is there! But for max volume i would also take the boom xxx mode. Although i dont think i will use this that often. As far as i can hear indoor + is my favourite mode, some tastefull low bass and upper treble sparkle. 1 thing i still wonder, is the treble quality comparable to the sonos roam? Or is the treble from the roam still more silky? I loved the roam at normal levels because of this silkyness

You will hopefully be able to judge on your own. An indoor video with my KH80 is coming next, so stay tuned

Some songs have a hint of distortion here and there, but its not that bad. The Tribit plays the parts clean, but with its usual flaws. Can you please consider playing one of the following songs for the the indoor video? "The Stanley Clarke Band - Pop Virgil" "Janko Nilovic, The Soul Surfers - Tha Boogee" "Hattler - Fine Days" (Live Version vom "Live Cuts II" Album)

Thank you for using my songs

The BoomXXX mode is actually a genius move imo. Not even a single audiophile would turn that mode on because of the compression and the bass being so extremely boosted, but for those typical bass fans (who usually end up with an atrocious JBL speaker), this mode would be ideal. This is of course purely from a sales point of view. I myself would probably use BoomXXX mode once or twice just to see the limits of the speaker, but I definitely won't be using it after.
