The Life Tune is technically the same model as the Q30, but has a different logo and it would seem to me also slightly better build quality with less crackling from the hinges. You can still find it in some stores below 50€, which makes it quite a bargain. I used my Q30 EQ for this recording and the headphone was set to ANC. My Q30 has already torn earpads and it sounded different than all other Q30 units I had owned, therefore I selected the Life Tune instead which may be more representative. As a cheap allrounder still a nobrainer but far from neutral sounding, even with bass reduced completely it remains pretty bass heavy.

When it’s finished and I can be sure the quality is ok

The difference beetween them is a matter of them. Some would like the Q30 due to the slighty boosted bass and presence region dip. With the highest level of bassboost on the NH1 it is bassier than the Q30?

I ordered a pair of ankers after listening to this. I would definitely pre order your pair also. You should create your own logo for a bit of fun.

It’s different, it shouldn’t be that boomy

This comparison is crazy. I can't decide a winner. The anker sounds more 3D and spacious. The nh1 seems more controlled but narrower. I think that I would be only satisfied with a secondary eq though.. The hrtf stage is elevated too much for my ears.

NH1 sounds better to me, but for the price the Q30 is a no brainer.
