I just wanted to show you our ideas for the final colour selection of the NH1 and would like to know your opinion as it should visually appeal to you.

The outer leather should become some kind of dark brown, close to black, but not entirely black as this appears a bit "dead" and liveless to us. The inner headband should remain black just like the internal pads fabrics and the body of the headphone.

The hinges should become darker as well than they are now, and the outer plate containing the logo should become some kind of bronze-gold instead of simple silver/grey. The logo may be printed in some anthracite as well instead of black to make it appear more subtle.

For the logo I would just like to add our Joy symbol to the left and right side, but the entire logo could be printed on one side only Just please let us know what you think.

My wife thinks our current logo design looks to feminine and won't appeal to maskuline customers. I am not sure, as the logo should simply radiate musicality.

We are open for other suggestions and the final colour may be also discussed on Indiegogo before the production starts. I am currently experimenting for a more "modern" logo design, without ornates.

> My wife thinks our current logo design looks to feminine and won't appeal to maskuline customers. I'm afraid your wife is correct. Bronze / gold I find looks almost always tacky, I would suggest minimalism (eg make it black). The dark brown leather looks good to me, and I agree its better than black.

Richard

Like a frequency response, the balance of a product design is important to appeal to a specific range of customers. I also think a less wavy solution would look more classy looking.

Hartyewh

I would buy it for sound regardless, but to me the logo and headphone don't match very well. The headphone looks practically built with the metal looking a bit cheap in this photo at least and the logo looking relatively over worked and very distinct on the product. If the cups were dark the logo would look better as metal or light, but it does look a bit cheap like this. Making the logo smaller would help a lot already.

Bruce Letto

To be honest, i would not wear the headphones with this branding in public.

AudioTechniker

Think logo is good on paper but for some reason it doesn't look right on headphones and your wife is correct.. it's quite feminine look. Be great to see various designs to see what we all think. I love the brown gold look as that makes them more classy.

G clef looks good. Logo should be smaller. It seems original and unisex, I think it's fine. But bronz/gold color would make it too feminine.

Hi Oluv, what do you think of my Anker Life Q30 EQ? 100 hz: 0 db 200 hz: 2 db 400 hz: 6 db 800 hz: 5 db 1600 hz: 5 db 3200 hz: 0 db 6400 hz -2 db 12800 hz -6 db

Brolle

Maybe a smaller text/symbol? Cleaner look. Now it feels aimed for people even older then me :) notes, font in italics -> classical music, leather couches and whiskey? But that's only me...and nothing wrong with this styling. Just thinking about what the target group is. I am sure it will sound really good regardless! 👌

Jani Kiviniemi

I like the bronze better. Logo looks musical indeed and I like it. Maybe one loop less on top of J logo. Otherwise I like what I'm reading. 👌

Calzone

I agree with Brolle and your wife. The logo looks a bit feminine and "senior classic music lover". I would prefer a minimalistic and more neutral/masculine look without brand name letters - just a discreet logo (the clef is fine) that is barely visible from the outside or not at all. I presume that people who would buy your headphones (and I probably will) don't care about displaying brands much and just want HQ sound. IMHO printed letters always look tacky. Apple does it well with just their apple logo. I would strive for something like this. Also, I would strive for a more simple and "thicker" logo than the current image of a clef. Maybe try to reduce it visually so it looks less elaborate. This will make it easier to use in other branding like icons and small symbols and also give it a certain gravitas, weight and stability. The current logo looks a bit "brittle" to me which does not go well with "high quality, reliable, serious, neutral headphones".

LeJJ

Agree, the logo reminds me of a Disney fairytale font. I’m no designer though and have no alternatives. I am a fan of simplicity though, maybe something small on the headphones.

Alex

I like the dark brown color but not the bronze/gold caps. I also agree with others regarding the logo, something more modern and simpler/cleaner would definitely be better. While I agree that sound is the most important, design is as well and a good one will drive more sales. Don't rush it and feel free to get inspiration from other bigger brands regarding color combinations, fonts and logo style. I'm sure they've spent a lot for it.

Jannes wel

I think the logo should be more simplified and more bold.

Sonny Chatwiriyachai

The logo doesn't look appealing for me, it looks outdated and trying too much to be classic. Please keep it simple.

Mister 13

This headphone would be beautiful with the white color according to my taste. For other customers, I assume that darker Colors with Green, blue, grey would fit perfectly with this kind of design. For the logo, I think the character should have « fat looking », but not too much. I think most of peoples with variety of taste would appreciate like this.

V

I would prefer something more modern looking like the Beoplay HX anthracite, the current logo is a bit too feminine

Wow that very weird i'm using 100hz - minimum 200hz +3 400hz +1 800hz +3 1600hz -2 3200hz - max 6400hz +1 12800hz +1

Gilad

Did you try it?

Crispin Herrod-Taylor

Taste is surprisingly personal, often based on what we have grown to like. My gut feeling is that new (not recognised) logos should be small. In this case, I think the logos are too big on the outer faces of the cans. Then without thinking too hard, decide what you are trying to say with the logo. Are you trying to portrait timeless or modern, funky or reliable, luxury or workaday, techy or heritage, etc? Choose some positions that you want your logo to say about your products, and ask a stranger (this forum?) if your logo represents them. For me your logo says possibly heritage, not luxury, possibly funky. Hope this helps, when we've chosen logos in the past, nobody liked what I chose, but I grew to like and accept what the consensus said I should use.

Trey

As a non-girly female I have to agree that your logo is way too feminine & needs simplifying. I agree with what the others have said already with regard to what you’re trying to convey with simple bolder lines. I love the dark brown but not the gold of the outer caps. I’d maybe suggest either a brighter brass look or better yet, a dark gunmetal and match the ends, like you have with the silver version. I know you’re going for a quality look & feel so look forward to the outcome of the feedback..

Mister 13

I also think the logo should be smaller, just like the Anker Q30

DominikReviews

I already see from the eq settings that it doesn't sound good (correct)

Gilad

But it does?

Termite bass

She is right. The logo seems a little over complicated. Possibly a similar design with thicker lines and less swooping lines

Vince B

I bought Soundcore Q30 headphones again and found that they have different sounds when turned on, and now there is an inscription on the box "Upgraded". It would be interesting to know if there are significant changes in the sound compared to the old version.

Sturmflut

did they improve the build quality? i love my q30 but the build quality is trash.

DominikReviews

I've had them, they are CRAP, sorry but return them as fast as possible, they have a much worser sound and also they have artefacts with ios devices, if you have one try playing song analog from soulpersona and at the beginning you can hear those "synthesizers" and they are weirdly artefacted on iPhone

Richard

Get the Anker Soundcore LifeTune instead

wall

Sturmflut I think the materials of the headphone body have not changed. Dominik I didn't feel the sound was worse, but it would be nice to compare it to the first version of the Q30 headphones.

Danke
