The Boombox 3 Wifi sounds a bit different out of the box compared to the Boombox 3, some may perceive the Boombox 3 even better sounding, as it appears slightly less harsh overall due to more relaxed upper mids, but with the 7-band EQ the Wifi version can be adjusted quite a bit and definitely improved over JBL's default sound signature.

I created 3 different EQs which should make the sound of the Boombox 3 Wifi a bit more natural sounding, including a more fun EQ which sounds a bit more similar to the regular Boombox 3 , a "neutral" EQ based purely on measurements matched towards the KH80 and an EQ matched towards the sound I perceive from my headphones purely by listening. All 3 should improve the stock sound of the Boombox 3 Wifi quite a bit.

I am still not sure if I should keep the Boombox 3 Wifi, as the 370€ I have paid for it are still quite acceptable, but I am not sure if I really need it, because at low levels it would need additional adjustment to sound appealing, while not being quite as loud as the Boombox 4 for outdoor use.

Here my EQs:

fun, with a bit more bass and treble: +2 +10 +6 +2 0 +4 +6

"neutral": -2 +12 +6 +2 -2 +2 +3

headphone: -2 +12 -3 -2 +2 +3 +3

I think that the Boombox 3 WiFi with your headphone eq and bass -3 is the best sounding Jbl speaker so far on your channel, still judging by recordings, I wouldn't rank it above the Uboom X with your latest refinements for normal listening, bass on the WiFi is still a bit off although it didn't sound that far of the original recording, impressive. Again, they should've made a lighter color version because this is more of a home speaker from Jbl, actually this sound from Authentic 300 for example would be really cool imo.

And about that Marshall Bromley 750, it is the only "partybox class" speaker that seems somewhat interesting to me because of how many drivers it has (including 2x 10" woofers probably in push-push configuration), still 1000$ is a lot...

Could be interesting to hear it against the Partybox 720

They claim 120w of amp power, so probably very efficient, 360 stereophonic sound, bass down to 30hz, and 127DB of output, seems interesting!

Are you going to do more headphone reviews? Honestly, that is the only reason I decided to follow.
