I discovered several new speaker releases at IKEA and took the biggest one home called "Solskydd". Together we will give it a try and listen how it sounds.

I think the speaker has some potential, the input at the back can act both as normal line-in or optical in, and apparently it can be also paired with other Solskydds. Attaching a Qudelix and adding a bit of treble could easily fix the slightly muffled sound, although it already sounds better if you take off the cover. The bass is pretty impressive and won't reduced up to maximum volume although it tends to knock a bit at high levels.

Nice review Olaf, thx for that. Is it maybe possible you can starting to review battery powered pa’s? Everse 8 or 12 Mackie thump go Qsc cb10 Bose s1 pro + Jbl one compact I understand that you don’t have money to buy them all but I am curious what you think about them. I really give value to your opinion and I am looking for a nice sounding speaker with the soundstage of a stereo paired Minirig 4 but the volume when I need to party in my garden of a soundboks 4. Hope you can help . Thanks for all your work!

This looks nice. Some users complain that you only can change volume from your mobile in one device, in case you have more than one speaker connected. Bass sounds very nice. It would be great combining that bass with the openness Earfun gives.

The biggest SOLSKYDD is the one with 45cm diameter and 99 Euro price. You have the smaler one with 29cm diameter. The 45cm model has 2x the bass drivers. On IKEA Site users complaining about hearable noise on lower volumes. A common problem with some bluetooth speakers. Seems like we need a follow up video with the big one ;). I think a comparion with the harman kardon onxy studio 9 would match, because its also round like a circle, its available in same grey colour, you can get it for 129 Euro, when its on sale. I have the HK onxy studio 9 here. What stands out is the punchy bass, with no compression below 50%. The attacks of drums sound really powerful.
