I am not sure if it's related to the firmware update I did recently, but I noticed exactly the same distortion issue that we already know from the Charge 6. I haven't noticed that before, so really not sure if it was present from the beginning. But this fact totally disqualifies the Luna 2 for any critical listener, although aside of this it's definitely a nice and impressive speaker. In case you have no issues like shown, don't perform any update, as this will definitely introduce thse problems.

You can check it with this track, where the problem becomes pretty obvious in the rhodes intro:

Me personally I always do a factory reset after update just to make sure the old files are flushed. You could try to Press and hold the Volume (+) & Play button for more than 3 seconds. See if that will fix it, or not. 😄

I was thinking of buying the Luna 2, but after seeing this video, I'll refrain. You mentioned that the Flip 6 sounds good - are there different versions of it too, like with the Charge -model, and if, have you tried them out? Have you made a custom eq for the 6 via the JBL app?

The flip 6 has only 3 band EQ but sounds fine with default. Flip 7 sounded worse to me.

flip 6 compared to soundcore motion 300 for a portable speaker smaller than the charge? I like a hifi sound with bass boost and extension which of these 2 has more bass or you would recommend? i have the 300 and got your eq settings

The 300 is nice but bass can sometimes get out of control, it should have slightly deeper bass than the Flip. Which EQ do you use for the 300?
